Well looks like I am at 25 mg daily now. My extra 2.5 mgs of " stress

doses " are now turning into regular extras, so.. Yeah! 25. And after

3 days I can increase to maybe even Directly 30?

I get more and more of this " ticklish " feeling in my heart these days..

This sadly brings back memories of the atrial/ventricular fibrillation

I got in January last year. I believe I got it form low T3 in my cells,

because of high/low cortisol (rT3 could also have been an issue at the

time) - I just don't want to go there again now! I am on 10 mcg T3.

Like... Should I increase my T3 faster? And how much T3 (in mcgs)

went to my cells a few weeks ago when I was taking 1 grain of Thyroid?

38 mcgs of T4 plus 9 mcgs of T3. Like how does it work... How many

of those T4 mcgs go into the body (in the form of T3 of course) when

you take 1 grain of Thyroid? And when a Thyroid gland is working

perfectly and you are Not Hypothyroid, how many mcgs of T3 do the

work then? In my case, my Thyroid gland is working perfectly, it just

cannot supply my cells with enough Thyroid Hormones - I have resistance

in the cells for T3! Plus my rT3 issue.

You still have residual T4 which is converting to some extent. As that

decays you increase T3 to compensate

Well, today I took 10 mg in the morning istead of 7.5 which I have

been taking in the past few months. 7.5 + 7.5 + 5 was my dose for a long

time. Then I added 2.5 mg and got 20 for a while. In the past week

I've been taking 22.5 + stress doses og 2.5 every day, which means

I'm up to 25 mg daily.

My heart is skipping more beats now than a few weeks ago.

And I just don't get this shaking! Shaking of hands + sweat coming

out of my fingertips. I went to a nature medicine specialist today,

to hear what he had to say. He said that the sweat means adrenaline.

But why do I have more adrenaline now on 25 mg HC than I had on

17.5/20 mg daily?

I didn't shake when I woke up. Only after 1 hour, when I took my

first (morning) dose of 10 mg - the shaking started. Hmmm.

I slept from 3 am to 9 am. 6 hours is just not enough for an AF

patient. I feel horribly sleepy and just overall bad.

The nature medicine guy said I shouldn't have started on HC, cause

they are other ways to fix the adrenals. But I'm not too sure about

THAT in my case. HC worked. It helped me. So I am happy.

I also doubt that T3 could have entered my cells at all with no HC.

He was avare of the Reverse T3-problem (wow) and said he looks forward

to hearing how it will go with my T3-only treatment!

I will do a full Vega-test soon, and we did a new hair mineral

analysis today. My second hair analysis. The first one was in the

summer of 2008. He told me I have too much calcium in me according

to that first analysis. And it looks like I can just have too much

calcium in general.

And that CAN very well be the reason for my cell resistance.

Did you guys check out www.calciumlie.com ? It's a very enlightening

website and book, and theory!

My old specialist (who gave me T4 in the first place and saved my life!)

told me I could increase 5 mcg of T3 every week. Do a slow increase,

cause my body has been without this medication for 2 years now almost.

I can't help but thinking of I need more magnesium or something.

My heart is just.. Blah! Not behaving very well. Well, if calcium is

blocking T3 from entering (as well as rT3, and low cortisol) we have

plenty of reasons for why I don't feel well!

Atrial/ventricular fibrillation? Surely it was Atrial Fibrillation only………Atrial fibrillation is not life-threatening and a condition that some people live with permanently. Ventricular, on the other hand…is a medical emergency as it leads to sudden cardiac arrest and death within minutes.

I had atrial fibrillation following my thyroid lobectomy and, at the time, was only on Synthroid. So…I believe it was related to my overall poor thyroid status. My heart was always susceptible to skipped beats after that, and when I started Armour, I couldn’t tolerate more than 1 grain and would have, what felt like very very short afib episodes. My TSH was always low because they were suppressing it with useless T4. Well…now I am 7 weeks into my T3 ONLY and I am amazed that at a dose of 75 mcgs Cytomel, I have no arrhythmia and my heart is calm.

So….even though my endocrinologist would point to T3 as the culprit when I couldn’t tolerate more than 1 grain of Armour….he really has no clue. My Ferritin was too low and I have been supplementing that as I am moving toward resolving my thyroid problems with the help of this forum. You guys (Val and Nick) ROCK!

Most pronounced change I notice with T3 is that my mind has returned to its creative, quick, crystal-clear thought process of years ago. It’s like being reborn….I LOVE IT.

I was wondering about one thing...

Could there be any chance that my cortisol is too high? Any chance what so ever?

I now have symptoms that remind me more and more about the period when my

stress started in May 2007, and throughout that year and into 2008,

when I was still on my full dose of thyrod meds. I now take 10 mcg of T3

so it's not a huge dose. However... I am curious about my HC dosing.

I know I can't trust any serum, urine or saliva tests of cortisol

while on HC. The test results are very high, nevertheless.

I am in such a mess right now - Hope to get out of it! I really do hope

I'm doing the right things and that I am on my way in the right direction!

I will try 25 mg HC for some days, then increase it to 27.5.

To me it's just weird that the shaking started after upping the HC-dose.

I am focusing on ACTH. And hope that it's shutting down, and that this

is giving me low cortisol symptoms sometimes.

I always wonder about this thing: If my ACTH is shutting down and I am

relying on my HC-tablets to " live " ... Can it be dangerous to be awake

late at night, let's say if I can't fall asleep - Leaving me with virtually

NO cortisol in the middle of the night and into the morning hours?

Isn't that dangerous? How does it work? If ACTH is not working due to an

amount of HC big enouigh to shut it down.

All I know is that my heart started twisting, it felt SO unnatural, and

then BOOM my heart stopped beating normally, and I got this IMMENSE

" tickling feeling " in my chest, like somebody was putting 10.000 needles

into my heart - I didn't feel direct PAIN, yes, it was painful, but

the overall feeling was the most insane tickling feeling EVER!!!

And when I checked my pulse, and helt my hand on my chest to feel my

heart, it wasn't BEATING at all - It was SHAKING.

I am not sure what it was, but it was some kind of fibrillation for

sure. The heart was NOT beating. And I've had tachycardia (200+ bpm)

for 17 years now. I know how that feels like. Fast, hard pulse for 30+

seconds. However. That one time on January 31st 2008, it was something

completely else......

It lasted for almost 20 minutes. It was horrendous!!! I was 100% sure

I was gonna die. And I believe I could have, also.

I was on 100 mcg T4, and 40 mcg T3 at the time. My Ferritin was at 166,

but it could've been an infection in me at that time. I got the flu

only 2-3 weeks after this, and my CRP had been very high ever since

December 2007 and into January 2009 and February as well, I believe.

Could it have been... The FLU doing all these things to me?

Well, I am on 25 mg HC now and not feeling great. I felt better on

1 grain ERFA Thyroid with 20 mg HC. But my FT3/rT3-ratio was 14.9

last time I checked it, so I _Can't_ be healthy now can I.

After doing some research, I see that my ratios have been down to 11 and

even 10, earlier this year while on a dose of 50/75 mcg T4-only every

other day.

I am drinking sea salt and taking my magnesium (133 mgs daily) and just

hoping it works. It's hard to listen to the body. I got to try out

different things!

Is it normal to feel incredibly weak and sleepy after a night with

sleep from 02.00 to 09.00, 25 mg HC and 10 mcg T3 (started 3 days ago)?

I have been awake for 12 1/2 hours and I feel SO done. I have been

sleepy all day long. I am thinking................... Lack of T3?

I could raise it tomorrow, but the question is: Do I have enough Ferritin?

And what about enough HC?
