Guest guest
That's one of the hard parts I think - Do know when to, and to know how much to stress dose with! My temp is not going up, so I doubt I am very sick. When I say sick, I mean " extra sick " on top of the Hypo, AF and so on. It feels weird saying " when I'm sick " cause I am sick every day. Ah, I didn't know I could use antibiotics while on HC! Thanks! > > Yes oyu can and should take antibiotics whiel on HC and sick. An illness > will also use up a TON of cortisol so oyu may need ot stress dose even > more.
Guest guest
Thanks Nick! What about raising T3 with 5 mcg now at 6 pm, four hours after my second T3 dose at 2 pm? (The first is obviously at 10 am) My Ferritin is now at 66 (still didn't stop taking iron 5 days before testing!) - But this is good news anyway, right??? > > >I could raise it tomorrow, but the question is: Do I have enough Ferritin? > > That is the question, the only way to find out is to increase it and > see. Put in a bed time dose maybe, as you turn the light out. That > will help sleep quality and also leave you more awake in the morning > before the first dose then. > > > >And what about enough HC? > > Probably yes, especially if you add a bed time dose, you want HC to > dip for sleep and the T3 will do that
Guest guest
I definitely think you need to be stable with your adrenals/thyroid. I was just saying that it might be the sinuses or tonsils that are causing you to have a slight elevation in your white blood cells. Guest guest
Thinking of upping to 15 mcg today on my fourth day on 10 mcg. Hoping the arrhythmia was not because I am upping too fast (well, started on 10 mcg anyway, so..) or maybe I have become intolerant to all synthetic thyroid meds? I am just worried, that's all. If my Ferritin is 66, I should be able to go up a few notches, right?

Guest guest
Well, at most, I took 4-5 antibiotic cures yearly. Which is WAYYYY too much! Thanks for the tip! I'll ask my GP about it. > > If your head feels awful, I would see your doctor for what sounds like it could be a sinus infection. >

Guest guest
So I took another 5 mcg T3 now, bringing the total up to 15 mcg. I changed from 1 grain Thyroid 4 dags ago. I was taking 9 mcg T3 in that 1 grain by then. I've been on 10 mcg T3 since I changed to T3-only, and today I added another 5 mcg T3. Hope the increase in T3 is not too soon! Guest guest
I was thinking about this pressure on the chest/heart that I've been feeling more and more lately. WHY does it appear NOW? I felt this for the first time in May 2007, when my STRESS started. This was the first time I really felt that something was wrong. And it's been a downhill ride ever since that point. Ok, so if I got AF from the trauma I went thru at that time, I can see how T3 wouldn't reach the cells. Causing pressure on my heart, and difficulties breathing. Does this make sense? And NOW that I'm taking T3 again, I get the pressure again. It feels like somebody has a foot on my heart, stepping on it. I also felt this symptom a few times in 2008 and once in the spring of 2009. I have no idea why. Are these normal symptoms or is it something weird with just me? Taking 15 mcg T3 daily now. Ferritin is at 66, and I keep taking 50 mg Iron daily. With my 25 mg HC daily. I sleep from midnight/1 am to 9/10 am.

Guest guest
Pressure on my heart continues. More than 1 hour now. I feel weak. Like my heart wants to beat weakly. It feels like a hand holding my heart and squeezing it, pulling on it... It's so scary! I felt this for my first time in May 2007, that's all I know. The ER at the time said I had " low electricity " in my heart, looking at theit EKG. I got scared hearing that. After 24 hours in a hospital, with 24-hour EKG-supervision, a bike-test (you know, stress-test!), a breathing-tube-test, and ultrasound (eccocardiogram) they concluded with this: There is nothing wrong wiht my heart. Except a small leack in a valve, and blocking of my right side of the heard or something. It was NORMAL according to the specialists. Ok. So my heart isn't perfect, but it's within the " normal " limits. My question is: Maybe my not perfect heart will have problems with T3, raising it, low cortisol, low ferritin and everything else that affects the metabolism? I am not on 15 mcg T3. Raised it by 5 mcg yesterday. I took 10 mcg for 3 dats before I raised it. Did I raise it too soon? I got the same pressure on 10 mcg T3, btw. And I also got this pressure in the spring of 2009, and a few times in 2008. Like. WHAT THE HECK is going on here??? Anyone? I'm going to my GP now in 30 minutes to do YET another EKG and to talk to him. . . COULD IT BE my heart NOT getting ENOUGH T3? Maybe that's IT? Wake up: 09:30 Meds and breakfast: 10:00 Pressure started: 10:20 Time now: 11:20 Pulse: 70 Temp: 36.9 C (98.5 F)

Guest guest
I wanted to tell you that I have had heart problems to.I was very bad for awhile and knowing about my hypo problems but when my adrenals got very bed I also was very scared from my pain and tightness in my heart.I also ended up in ER for my heart pain and after EKG they told me everything was normal with my heart. After I started the HC it took time for this issue to fade but even now 6 months on HC and now I'm in my 13th week on T3 only some times I feel the weakness and tightness in my heart but not to the extend it used to be.There were moments having such a strong heart pain ,I was thinking I'm dying.I have asked on the forum many times about my heart problem and other people have had heart problems but never understood what helps and what causes this.I feel for you and hope that with the help of Val you will get out of this. Remember there are other who had heart problems and I could handle anything else but when this was going on it scared me to dead.Try to hang there and know that this is just a temporary while going trough the healing process.I hope you will improve soon. Guest guest
Thank you so much for your reply Milena. It sounds like you've been thru something like I am going thru now. Actually, the pressure started 2 1/2 years ago in May 2007. This was the first day when I undertstood something was wrong. And now it's back again..... The pressure appears with T3-meds, but I've also felt it without T3-meds. Could it be T3-meds doing this do me, or just the simple fact that I need MORE T3-meds? I am on 15 mcg T3-only daily now. What do you think, ? Do I need more HC to let this T3 into my cells or what? Ferritin?
