Guest guest
Tomboy, I was reading over at sober24 and saw that onetwomany was banned from their boards. Why? I didn't see him/her use profanity or step out of line. onetwomany was a troll, right? This was the last post he/she shared; I would hear tales of wonderful lives in shares that bore no resemblance to the reality, these people thought that these lies were good so as not to alienate newcomers, always sharing the good talk about AA Seems less offensive than some of the truths you and lizardking are telling them. Guest guest
Definitely a troll, I suspect one of the merry gang that was trolling all at once but has now switched names. The only one that I can think of that would feel a need to change names would be IraG but that is only a guess. I have seen a lot of women flirt with the men even to the point of touching them yet they will act so offended if any of the fellows do make a pass at them. I do understand that " no means no " . However, many of these women - who engage in this behavior - need to also understand that they cannot act in certain ways if they do not want to be percieved as " easy " or a " tease " . At an NA picnic, this one woman in a bikini was climbing all over this other stepper's boyfriend and acted so aggrieved when the guy actually tried something. The relationships that start in the " rooms " are pretty messed up. I knew this one fellow in Narcotics Anonymous who was a pretty decent man. He married his NA girlfriend after she told him that she was pregnant and wanted marriage. A few years after the marriage, the woman is bored with her husband and feels that she deserves better so she fools around with a wealthy NAer to get out of the marriage. Then she goes for this young NA body builder after getting what she wanted from the $$$ man. The younger man ends up dumping his girlfriend after he realizes that he does not want an older woman with an ex-husband and a child. Guest guest
I wouldn't mind a woman in a bikini climbing all over me right now. Your point that messed up relationships begin in those rewms is true. I guess messed up people have messed up relationships. Perhaps the healthiness of a relationship must be somehow proportional to the healthiness of the participants. Guest guest
Abbadum - Up until about a year ago, I would have asked the same thing, and I was "coming around" for about six years... That is really what is so scarey about AA - Most people, in and out of AA, don't know what it's all about.
