I would check with the company. Not all seed is treated. I used to buy

25 pound bags of sunflower for my bird feeders and called the producer

and was told that is was ok to sprout. I asked about the statement on the

bag that it was vitamin enhanced, and he said that that would not harm

humans. I don't have the feeders anymore and I like the baby sunflower

seeds from Sproutman. But if I still fed birds, I would still sprout the

seeds.

No, it is pesticide treated according to unfit for human consumption

standards.

As long as the seed is raw it can be sprouted, animal grade seed is probably not

organic.Even though you dont eat the hull the chemicals which were most likely

used for growing the mother plants will contaminate your compost pile.If I was

unable to find or afford organic seed I would sprout animal grade seed.Do the

best you can and to heck with the rest.Jeff.

It seems to me that a lot of people dispose of the hulls, even on

organic seeds. Why? I've been eating my whole seeds, grains,

beans, with no problems.

Hi,

I would get another Doctor !

You may have an easier time getting a general practioner to prescribe it.

Really though, this is YOUR son and your decision. If he refuses to even talk about it than he cannot have your best interests at heart....after all, a good doctor is one who works WITH the patient to find a treatment plan that the patient is comfortable with.

My daughter's doctor had no problem writing a script - he simply insisted that we keep a script of her "conventional" meds on hand in case things did not go well. I had printed out the studies on LDN and Crohns, and had the support of our local pharmacist, who also has been following LDN studies.

I would highly suggest that your son try to eliminate processed foods from his diet as much as possible, especially grains. Between LDN and diet changes, my daughter is pain and blood free for the first time in five years !

Best of Luck,

Teejay

My 17 year old son is suffering with UC and has been on remecade for 6 months. We want to try LDN, but we can't get our GI Dr. to even talk about it. Any suggestions to convience him?

The quickest way to bring some serious attention to homeopathy on an

autism mercury list, or in the world for that matter, would be for some

homeopaths to replicate the Leskova study to show the effectiveness of

homeopathy in removing mercury from the brain.

I understand this is important to many. Here is one link that

explains what is happening in studies/research -

http://www.trusthomeopathy.org/case/res_issues1.html

As the first paragraph by Dr. Iris Bell states, science that is

working on one paradigm has not been able to reflect the results we

see in practice every day, and in another whole paradigm. Also, we

have not pooled results together, something that may in time develop

in homeopathy. From my experience and colleagues around the world I

can tell you that our focus on each person and seeing them through the

healing process as a whole is very time-consuming, and the more people

you are helping - well, the less time to sift out this type of

information for this and other information for that to hold up to the

public.

Please be open and understanding in those regards and perhaps come to

trust that it works, whether a Leskova study has shown so or not. I

know it would sure be good to be able to prove in a way you are

comfortable with....someday that may be developed :)

Best to you,

Liz

Thanks for the idea...I would love to try one of those products, but I have

such horrible allergies...I am afraid that I would have a reaction to it...and

especially there would be a nightmare!

I will keep thinking about it though...thanks! :)

Although my hair is much finer and lighter, I still have to shave.

Not as often as i used to, but not twice a day either. Did you ask your dr.

about that?  RSD slows the entire system down, so it seems strange that the hair

growth would speed so.

The same disease affects everyone differently.

legs twice a day to keep them smooth

One if the first symptoms of RSD is increased hair growth on the affected limb

as well as changes in ones nails. My original site was my wrist/hand and I did

have increased growth there which has not gone back to normal but that site was

put into remission many years ago. The RSD is now in my feet and legs and I do

not have any hair growth, at least not that you can see, on my legs. Of course,

I am also 70 y/o and hair growth does slow down as one ages.

Just try a little area and see what happens. If you don't have a reaction, then

you know you can use it on your entire leg. You can try a health food store,

they might have a gentler more natural product?

Hi Lindsey

Unfortunately, Dr P doesns't often get to his emails for sometimes, up to two weeks so please be prepared to wait. I think he has more patients and less hours in the day than anybody else.

Luv - Sheila

Hello,

Does anyone have Dr P's current email address?

Thanks

Sorry to hear this Lindsey, but we cannot seem to resolve this problem - lots of ideas, but none ever get put into practice and this old problem continues.

Problems are that he is so busy with all his clinics throughout the UK - and then when he gets back, he is inundated with phone calls, faxes etc which he has to respond to, then he has Wednesdays where he sets the whole day aside for those who have booked telephone consultations, and he never gets to his emails for around a couple or so week, and then has to spend time responding to all of them. He doesn't ahve much time to himself these days. The curse of being one of the only doctors in the UK who is actually making his hypothyroid patients well.
