Guest guest
: I understand your apprehension about not having any juice in the band. I have been without juice for about six weeks. I am doinhg well and have lost over ten pounds but was back to day one on clears, cloudy, mushies, soft, etc..... It is a head thing with me. Right now the head is in a good place and I sure hope it stays there. I hope your ER situation improves and you are on the road to recovery. When I had to have my fluid out a regular ER dr. had to do it he had no experiance with bands. due to the 6hr drive I would of had to take when I was in horrible pain. And it was 2am when the pain had got so intence that I HAD to and now I'm worried what if he missed my port and got my line and on and on. I'm a worry wart. Any words of comfort from anyone ? Guest guest
Hi, use this page to learn more about LDN, and...there is a folder there made specially for your doctor. Why not print it and bring it to her/him? Oh, and you need to read everything you find about LDN to feel safe that you know a lot about it before you go to your doctor. This will lead to the fact that your doctor feel safe writing an rx. And..do you know that you can still give your son Asacol while using LDN? Don't forget to Hope this will help you, whish you good luck trying to convince your sons doc. www.gazorpa.com www.ldninfo.org all the best, hope you're going to get the medicine, and that it will work well on your son. Guest guest
Cheers! Good for him! (unknown) hi, sorry for this late entry. anyway, last year, my husband just dropped all of his prescribed drugs and went natural all the way... he is doing fine but of course he had to change his diet and lifestyle... it helped a lot. In the Philippines we are lucky to be rich in plants and herbs that can help all kinds of ailments. VCO is still his main supplement though. Guest guest
Have you thought about sports bras? They are much softer...more like a tank and with the wider straps and no hooks, may not bother them so much. They have some with more support and some with minimal depending on where you shop. (I have some sensory issues and I am known to take my bra off in the car without taking my shirt off when it gets really bad!lol) (unknown) I have a friend who recently had to insist on the special education bus. Her child wanted to get naked (sensory with bra) and so the regular bus was off limits until they get things straightened out. Oh I had to laugh at this one. I could so be my Alyssa. I'm having the hardest time to get her to wear a bra. It's always, " It's touching me! " or she'll pull her pants up to under her arms to cover the part of her stomach that isn't covered by the bra. I discovered that she stuffed about 5-6 bras under her dresser when I thought she was doing so well with wearing them. We're still working on it, but she seems to be doing better. Guest guest
Oh, this is not good... I was hoping that the introduction to a bra was just a temporary issue :-) We have an assortment of styles of choose from.... big sis hand-me-downs, sports bras, pink bras (fav color)..... is resisting big time! So far I've had some success with basic camisole-type undershirts (meaning she will leave them on if she actually puts one on in the morning, but she frequently " forgets " with a smile on her face... " Oh, sorry mom, I forgot " And, I can see that this would be a time to be a tad less verbal.... she will explain to anyone she feels like telling (apparently the aide and SLP almost peed their pants trying not to laugh when she gave her " speech " to them) about how she " really doesn't need to wear a bra because her nipples don't really show, and although she's growning up, she doesn't think that she needs to wear a bra, but mom wants her to at least wear a camisole so that her nipples don't stick out, WHICH THEY DON'T! SEE? " Of course, we've talked about how we don't talk about private things with so and so, etc., but when feels like chatting about something that's on her mind, all training and good sense goes out the window :-) It will be a long process here! , mom to (12), (10 DS), and Sammy (9) Sue wrote: > I have a friend who recently had to insist on the special education > bus. Guest guest
Hi Tammy, You have reduced that drug way to quicky. You need to make very small cuts and stabilize before going any further. There is an internet list called withdrawal and recover () that could help you with this. You will most likely not find medical support to do it as they are in complete denial about the withdrawals. RosePsssst...Have you heard the news? Guest guest
Jackie - enjoy the agreeable Landon for as long as it lasts! Dani is also a very happy child, but she has a VERY strong stubborn streak. The T & A did not resolve that at all. She does, however, sleep much more soundly and even wants to take naps some now -- never before. We noticed she was clingy after the surgery and more serene, but she is a typical, happy, healthy three year-old now. I have requested a new set of " listening ears " from the ENT, but he said all he could do is replace one of her faulty tubes and that is diagnosis on the listening issues was " being 3 years old " . Hopefully Landon will remain quite healthy throughout the fall. Other than Dani's ear issues - she's fairly healthy and never seems to really run a fever. Best of luck! Guest guest
After 's 2 week recovery from T & A, I would say that we saw a pretty quick change. My son has put on 5lbs since surgery in May, which is amazing since he was so scrawny and tiny. When he went in for a well visit last week the ped was pleasantly shocked to see such a big spike in his weight. He too was a TERRIBLY picky eater-it drove me up the wall. I think he had MUCH more throat involvement than I was aware of and I believe that eating was often times a painful ordeal for him. He had a very limited diet. Now at 28 mos old, he eat regularly eats grilled salmon, broccoli, beets, avocado, and just about anything I put in front of him. I no longer have to cook him separate meals, he just eats what we eat. I don't know if this is coincidence, but I really do think that since the pain and negative associations of swallowing have worn off, he now is open to eating whatever we give him. I would not really say is more agreeable (he already is a very easy tempered out to please kind of guy), but he certainly now is smiling all the time and bounces off the walls as little boys should. I would say he's really a cheerful little boy, nothing compared to the constant state of listlessness and exhaustion he was in all the time before. I think you will find that many parents here who have gone the surgery route will tell you that their children are night and day after surgery. Here's to hoping you stay fever free. Cheers!
