Guest guest
As the dosing page of Nick's website says; If you get high temp and fast pulse, lower your T3 dose again and wait to increase it. Well. Looks like I get way other symptoms: When I take too much T3, like now, IF I take too much, I get pressure on my heart and more of a slower pulse. I don't get this. What's going on with me? Maybe I don't need any meds at all?

Guest guest
Pressure lasts........... Should I increase HC now? Like I will make my third dose 7.5 mg instead of 5? Than the total will be 27.5! I am clueless to why I am so sick. These symptoms with the heart is just.. So hard to figure out! What if I stop taking all thyroid medication? Would the transition to my own Thyroid Gland go smoothly? It should have a normal function. I am wondering if I have Hypothyroidism at all... And WHY do I get this pressure? Exactly WHY? Does anyone know? I am on 15 mcg T3 daily.

Guest guest
Yeah. I know the temp should get lower in the nighttime for sure. So my dear friends.. I just got the pressure back, even without taking my third dose of 5 mcg T3 for today. I skipped it to see if the pressure wouldn't appear. But it did! I am looking at my log. 3 weeks with ERFA Thyroid (with T3 in it) and no pressure. On the very last day with ERFA Thyroid, before starting T3-only, I got the pressure. I am looking at my log to find out which changes I did, that might have caused the pressure to appear.. And surely enough, 2 days before the pressure appeared, I upped my HC dose to 22.5 mg, from 20. Now... Is it possible to get tightness and pressure in the chest/heart from taking too much HC? I don't understand a thing! And this is dang scary! I know what the experienced rT3-people are telling me: I should take more HC so that the T3 will be tolerated... But I am just so confused now! Feeling like I am about to die any moment! > > > Temperatures usually are lower in the evening. Someone told me that once. That even with taking hormone, they may still be low. Guest guest
Hey Nick, If my temperatures are perfect, my Ferritin is at a (skewed) 66, I am taking 27.5 mg HC daily, and 15 mcg T3 daily (only 10 mcg today though, thinking of adding the last 5 now to see what happens - I already have the pressure in my chest!) and my thyroid gland is working perfectly... How will things be with taking T3-only? What can I expect? I am one of those with a normal working thyroid gland. It's important to remember. Yes, I am aware of the fact that I might be non-hypothyroid, but I was hypothyroid when I was 13-14 and up til 18, when I got onto T4, and became Healthy for the next 10 years... I have no idea if I am still hypothyroid, or not - Nobody knows! That's why the hospital and the rough endos wanted to remove my meds, to see how I would do without them! Besides, they didn't like that I was on 100 mcg T4 and 40 mcg T3 - T3 being the culprit, in their opinion, giving me tachycardia and fibrillation back in January 2008. Anyway... *sigh* I feel horrible and don't know where to go from here! Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Guest guest
My last 1 month of many changes and problems: ............ (!) I cut down from 75 to 50 mcg T4, started taking 1/2 grain ERFA Thyroid 1 month ago. (!) Did 50 mcg T4 and 1/2 grain Thyroid for 11 days. (!) Went up to 1 grain Thyroid, kept taking those 50 mcg T4 for 6 days. (!) Cut the T4, went on with 1 grain Thyroid for 6 days. (!) Decided to change to T3-only, and took 10 mcg T3 (same amount T3 as in 1 grain Thyroid) for the first 3 days, then 15 mcg the next 2 days, then 10 mcg again today. (!) On the 10/12 I upped from 20 mg HC to 22.5 mg HC. On 14/12, the pressure on my chest and tightness in my heart appeared, and it lasted for more than 12 hours. I got no sleep that night with that pressure on my chest. Notice that I hadn't started taking T3-only when the pressure appeared. ............ * Could it be that I just took too little HC (20 mg at the time) when I started with ERFA Thyroid (and its 9 mcg T3) ? * Can it be that I take too little HC now, at 27.5 mg HC daily, to tolerate the 10-15 mcg T3 I am taking these days? * Can it be that I can't tolerate any HC dose over 20 mg daily? * Can it be that I just ain't Hypothyroid anymore (for some reason) and don't need any thyroid meds at all? * Can it be that my body is rejecting any T3-meds for some reason, like I have become allergic to it? * Can it be that I just should've increased my ERFA Thyroid dose and waited longer for it to work? The only place I can get help for my T3-only plan is here! I feel very alone and scared of dying at the moment!

Guest guest
The question is:Should I take 10 or 15 mcg T3 tomorrow? And how fast can I increase HC? I am at 27.5 mg HC now, starting this day that passed now.

Guest guest
I skipped taking T3 this morning. It's not almost noon and no pressure still. I took my 10 mg HC at 10:45 am. So it can't be the HC creating pressure! I feel weird in my chest, but no real pressure.Should I try T3 now? It can be dangerous just STOPPING taking it right? Guest guest
I took my last T3-dose 21 hours ago, at 3:30 pm yesterday. Skipped my second dose becauseI got this pressure on my chest again.I also skipped my first T3-dose today at 10 am. Now it's almost 1 pm, and my temperatureis maybe a little low, at 36.7 C (98.1 F) - It should be 36.9/37.0 (98.4/98.6) by now.I am not sure if I measure correctly. I do wait 20 minutes after I eat and drink to measure. But sometimes, I measure over and over in different places in my mouth and get differentresults. Now I get 36.7 (98.1) to 36.9 (98.4) depending on where I measure. HMMM!!!What does all this mean? Shouldn't my temperature drop even more if I don't take T3 for 24hours? Or is this little drop, IF the temp is really 36.7 (98.1) now, proof that I need to takemy first T3 dose for today?Maybe I'm not really hypo? If I stop taking the T3- med, maybe I'll stat using my own gland, and either become 100% healthy OR get slooooowly hypo again cause of some level ofcellresistance...!?SO much uncertainty!!!!!It's driving me absolutely insane...
