Guest guest
Hi Connie, Thank you for your support. I really appreciate it. No, I have never had a sweet tooth; seldom ever ate any sweets at all. And with eating fruit, especially the berries each day; I am getting the natural sweet taste. My downfall used to be pasta!!!!!!! And I always felt so yucky after eating it. So that was my first change and after 3 weeks or so I never have a taste for it and do not miss it; nor the after effects it would do to my body. Take care, Wanda. > WOW Wanda, I stand and applaud in admiration!! I have a very bad sweet > tooth, do you? Connie :-) >

There really are no words that can describe how much you all bring to my life. I love being here with all of you. I love seeing the support you offer to each other. Each one of you has something special to offer to our group. You are all unique and important. There is something very motivating about knowing that someone else cares if you succeed. The way you reach out to one another has to make others feel like they want to succeed even more. It must make you feel good to realize that very word you write may be motivating someone else to be more successful. As Jenni said, I consider all of you a huge blessing in my life. You inspire me to do more, to be more and to know more so I can share it with all of you. I will be thinking of you and sending you my best wishes for a perfect day! I have learned so much here...because people give of them selves completely, never holding back because they want to be a " know-it-all " or as you said " queen bee " . I always end up saving the emails from this list for last because I always know I will come away with a smile. And doesn't it show how wonderful Rashelle is by the way she does lead us? Her love and compassion always comes through no matter what and it is always a balm to my soul whenever I read one of her postings. I always consider this list a true blessing. It seems that the leg length descrepancy could be at least in part from the problems in the sacral area right? Doesn't Zoe (VEPTR) also have a sacral problem? Hi , long time no hear, LOL. Yes, some of 's LLD can be attributed to the problem of his left hip not attaching at the correct place, and being higher than the other side on the lumbar spine. The actual leg bones themselves are shorter though, from the pelvis on that side itself down to the foot and ankle. This is from nerve involvement from this tethered spinal cord not sending the proper growth signals to the area while he was in utero (or could be from malformed nerves due to sacral issues... depends which NS you talk to, LOL). I guess if they fused the sacrum and lumbar spine, and screwed the left hemipelvis to the lowest point possible, it would shave a centimeter or two off the final LLD. You are right about Zoe, she does have some sacral issues. She is missing the last three bones of the sacrum. The top one where the pelvis attaches and the one below it are there. This doesn't affect her from a spine standpoint (her issues there are unrelated), but it does have it's own nerve issues and problems that it can cause. I've met Zoe at the first VACTERLS conference, she is a sweetie, and I've 'known" her mom online for about three years now ConnieMom to Sara 12, Nicky 6 (GI issues, megacolon), and 4(CRS/VACTERLS incl. tethered spinal cord (repaired 9/00) perineal fistula imperforate anus (repaired 5/00), single kidney, PDA (closed on its own), malformed sacrum and pelvis, mild long segment levoscoliosis, extra left rib, genital anomalies with hypospadius (repairs 9/00,11/00, 5/01,12/01,12/03), hypoplastic left leg with clubfoot (repaired 5/01) and 4cm length discrepancy - wears AFO and 3cm lift, SUA, GI reflux, DGE, mild swallowing dysphagia, eating issues and the most beautiful smile ever)conni60640@..., http://pages.ivillage.com/conni60640/
