Hi everyone! I just found this list and wanted to join in and introduce

myself. I am married to (for 7 years) and we have 3 children. ,

age 6, Jordan will be 5 in Nov., and will be 3 in Dec. I am Terri,

homeschooling mom and needing to lose some weight after having 3 children in

4 years. I am 5'3 " tall and 160 pounds. I would like to get back to my

pre-pregnancy weight of 125. I pray this will be finally be possible on this

Adkins diet. Today was my first official day. I have been reading the book

all weekend and following it through out the weekend, but made today my

first official day. Please tell me this will happen!! A total of 35 pounds

to lose. My diet today has consisted of: Breakfast: bacon, egg and cheese

biscuit minus the bread. LOL Took the bread off. Snack/lunch: 16 crunchy

pepperonis with a little cheddar cheese. I am not really up to snuff on

groceries yet since I went out of town over the weekend but will be shopping

for some good things to eat tonight. But am using what I have that is no

carbs/low carbs until then. I am giving this everything I have in hopes of

finally reaching this goal. I hope to get to know each of you and will

definitely enjoy this list! By the way, we live in Raleigh, North Carolina

and I am 29 years old (30 in Jan.). My goal for the last few years has been

to reach pre-pregnancy weight of 125 by my 30th birthday! I am running out

of time.....hovering at 160 no matter how I ate for about a year. So....I

would appreciate any tips, encouragement, hopes, etc. that I will be able to

reach my goal by my 30th birthday and 7th anniversary on Jan. 16th! Thanks

and God bless!! Terri

Hi,

I'm and I just joined the list. I'm on day 3 of the 14 day induction

and it's going well. I'm still reading the book and I've checked the Atkins

website but I have a question I hope you experienced people can answer for

me:

After the 14 day induction, are sugar or bread products allowed on the OWL

Plan if they are figured into your daily carb count?

Thanks! Look forward to getting to know everyone.

really say it counts---LOL! I have lost 7lbs, maybe more, but my TOM has

arrived.(time of month) So I wont be reporting a weight tomorrow. I will when

I'm all done. You will love it here the people are sooooo sweet!!

,

Welcome to the list, no, sugar and bread and such are not allowed until you

reach maintanence. That being said, I think al of use have tried to stay

legal but there are times that you just can't help your self and the great

thing about this WOL is that you can get right back on to induction and be

just fine!! Once you reach maintenance you can add things back in but you

still have to be careful cause if you go back to the way you were, you will

gain it all back! That is why it is considered a way of life and not a diet.

I hope this helped!! :o)
