Hi, everyone, my name is Darla, I have been on the Atkins diet before and

got off track. Lack of imagination I guess (food boredom). I am wanting to

start the program again, just need a little push start.

Thank you for allowing me to join your list. I am 41 yrs. old and I read the

Atkins book about three years ago. I was on the diet, and lost weight and

felt good. But, I quit... don't know why? I hit a plateau and fell pray to

those ideas of low fat or low cholesterol eating. I am back! I ordered the

" book on tape " and I have a question. I just started yesterday and I have

been very careful. But, what kinds of things can you eat during the first

two weeks? The book is a bit vague about that. From what I gather besides

meats, cheese and eggs..can I have any salads or veggies? I have 70 pounds

to lose. I do exercise daily and bodyflex breath.

Hello and welcome to the list Doree! I also do BodyFlex, doesn't it make you

feel wonderful?!?! I have an explanation of induction tucked away somewhere,

I will send it to you if I find it, or maybe someone else will. You can do

it!!

Doree,

That is all you can eat is what it says in the book. After you get through

induction you can add things to it. also I eat sugar free Jello with

induction, it helps me get over the sweet tooth and I have an Atkins shake

for Breakfast.

I'm sorry... I am a bit confused and can't find the email I sent out. So you

are saying just meat, fish, salad and eggs..no veggies ?

re veggies on induction..

i stuck with 2 small salads a day ( under two cups of salad)..plus a little

onion,tomato,pepper like a garnish amount...

that sounds yummy gus..thanks!..

you gave me an idea... i'm going to try and make some tacos with those cheese

crisps ( you can bend them into a taco shape while still warm)...AND look

for those lowish carb tortillas....i forgot what brand they were, if anyone

remembers...

hi everyone,

been doing atkins for a little over a month now. my names gus. had good

success so far. i'll throw my fav breakfast recipe in hope that's cool.

Taco Omelet

2 eggs

1/2 c scramble hamburg

1/4c shredded cheddar cheese

2 tbls. salsa

pam cooking spray

spray pan with pam. scramble eggs and put in pan. let bottom cook then flip

to cook other side. place hamburg and cheese on one end of omelett put

salsa on top of cheese. fold end over and cook till cheese melts. hope you

enjoy.

This recipe for Taco Eggs sounds good. I have a question? I also belong to

another list. I am able to " reply " only to the sender. This way, personal

short comments are not seen by others. I love the Atkins Diet and could use

the support, but don't think I will be able to keep up with the mass emails.

It is my opinion that if someone wants to say< " Good Luck " to someone, they

should just be able to click, " Reply " and not get everyone. I know I am new

here and mean no disrespect, but in a nut shell, with the BodyFlex onelist as

I said before you can reply to the author of the email or to all. Too bad

that does not work here.

Just a thought...

HELLO ALL AND WELCOME NEWBIES!!

busy day had to pick up dad at the airport this am and then stopped

to eat ont he way home was so nice to order a bacon cheese omelet!!!! He

had dinner buffet, and desert did not bother me...Had Kassie my GD

with me and she also got bacon and a scrambled egg...

THAT was lunch,,, for breakfast I grabbed a 1/4 th left over grilled

chicken breast and ran out the door to go the the airport!!!

Supper had grilled salmon filet 1/2 of one as salmon is so filling and

rich like only cna eat so much,then had a BLT salad and 2 pcs of soft

roll toasted.... diet lemon jello and whip cream

just had a protein shake,,,not atkins, a Challange 95 shake no carbs

but then it is vanila awefull tasting so I add 2tbs cocoa and couple

packs of sweetner, and whip cream, water and ice cubes....it is a bit

better!!! but I like as I ma getting soy powder and may help the hot

flashers LOL

Tomorrow is weigh in at TOPS first since I started this so I will

definatly find out as I was 185 3/4 lbs 2 weeks ago when I started

this so will have the full weight report tomorrow night how I did on

induction!!!!

WEllll thought I would pipe in here and now to read allmy mail!!!!

You can do that with this list...instead of hitting reply, point to the

person's email address within the body of the letter.....

The reason it doesnt work here is because that is a

controlled list I do not have this list set up to be

controlled when you reply to a person you click on

there email addy not yor reply button to post to the

list you hit reply I do not have the time to approve

all the emails that come thru this list. list owner

the tortillas are .... la tortillas... if anyone wants the 800 number to

order them (hve to get a case) let me know. They last a long time, but

you'll eat them fast..

12g of carb - 9g of fiber = 3 carbs --- remember.. this is for those

who chose to subtract fiber - not everyone is doing this.. But one

thing i have to say. If someone is having a hard time with this wol..

and is thinking of quitting.. before you do that.. try subtracting the

fiber for a couple weeks and see what happens. Try the tortillas.. I

LOVE THEM! i have to say that these are what saved me and has kept me

on this wol!
