Hello: Dr. Ann here. I have been on ATkins since March and lost 2

dress sizes. Slowly but surely i have started adding back too many

carbs, and have stopped losing. There is no question that this list

helps me to stick to it. Dr. Ann

this

list helpful!! I do too. All these ppl are an inspiration to me!

Hugs,

Penny

Thanks for the warm welcome. I have my Ph.D in psychology. I am a

retired Family Therapist. I moved here to the coast of Maine 15 years

ago after burn-out, and proceded to add on the pounds. My knees gave

way, and now must lose 100 pounds for health and vitality. Dr. Ann

Hi everyone. I am DDD and joined the list a few days ago, but have not had

time to post an introduction. I am a 44 y/o female. I am a special education

teacher in the state of Texas. I have 5 grown children and an 11 y/o at

home. Top that off with 14 grandkids and I have a pretty busy life. I have

been on this WOL since June 26, 1999. I have lost a solid 22 lbs, and have

been playing with an additional 4 lbs. I have never been able to get into

ketosis, even on days when I don't eat any carbs at all. I guess I am just

not a ketosis person. But I have been losing, so I don't worry about it too

much. Most of my weight loss came in the first 3 weeks. I had not lost any

weight for approximately 6 weeks, but recently lost an additional 2, so

maybe the stall is over. Anyway, I am rambling on and have tons of mail to

read. Thanks for the list and all of the support is see.

DDD

I have been on the Atkins diet for 3 months now and I've lost 16 pounds. I

have 4 pounds to go. I intend to stay on this diet as a way of life,

because carbohydrates (sugars) tend to put me to sleep. I am looking to

expand my diet and develop some receipes for snack items. I cook gluten

and casein free cookies, muffins, pancakes and crackers for my child. I

use almond and bean flour in my homemade items.

I made Almond flour biscuits today for myself thinking they would be a low

carb alternative.

I am looking to share receipes.

Thanks

Hi all

I am new to the list . I have been on this woe for 7 weeks . I have lost

a total of 15 pd and 10 inches. I feel great. I weigh and measure on

mondays. I have found that my measurment and weight go up and down alot.

As my stomach and hips get smaller my waist gets larger for a while.

then it goes back down , I guess as the stomach pulls up it has to go

somewhere . lol. I dont have saggy skin. And i feel great and im looking

great. I have 110 pds left to lose and i know Im gong to do it this

time.

keep up the good work.
