Thank you ; I guess that's why the doctor said that I was doing well, and

that he was thinking of taking me off the med. Metforman. Is it good to measure

my sugars after every meal or do like the doctor suggests and that is to test

once a day after a and before a meal once a day, in other words, each day test

it only once starting before breakfast, then the next day before lunch and so on

and then do the cycle two hours after a meal once a day. Hope this is clear to

you? Thanks for your encouregment Ken b.

To convert the milimole readings to USA readings multiply the number by 18.

To convedrt the USA readings to milimole readings do the reverse and divide

the USA numbers by 18.

You can pay attention to your doctor, or you can pay attention to diabetic

experts here. Isn't it wonderful! After all it is your body. It is even

more wonderful to have a choice.

Well, Harry, I have gotten from you guys experience so I'll take your advise

anytime. Of course, I listen to you folks on list and weight it up. The

average that I'm working from from you people, is very good in information.

Thanks again; Ken B

yes. if you eat quick acting carbs, and don't have enough insulin in your blood

to keep your sugar 6.6 or less 2 hours past eating a meal, you will spike high

and linger high all day.

so, to force your sugar to be 6.6 or less 2 hours past eating a meal, you limit

your quick acting carbs to no more than 30 grams per meal.

simple stuff.

you get what I am saying?

let me know...

that is nuts! they are not educated on current strategies to treat diabetes and

are using old outdated techniques that are dangerous to your health and well

being!

take what we are saying and practise it on your body. Your body is your

experiment.

try this tomorrow....

for breakfast, eat 1 slice of brown bread packed full of eggs/bacon/meat and

nothing else. That will be about 15 grams of carbs. 2 hours past eating

breakfast do a test. bet it is 6.6 or less. Now, for lunch, eat 2 slices of

brown bread, load it with meat, drink a glass of juice, and then a chocolate

bar. That will be around 75 to 80 grams of carbs. Now do a two hour post meal

test and tell us if you are 6.6 or less following that wackos advice as compared

to ours! *grin*

I understand what you are saying and that would be ok once you master how many

carbs to eat at each meal to get your 2 hour post meal test 6.6 or less.

after eating each meal, only 30 grams of carbs, do a 2 hour post meal test and

write it down and post your results to the list for us to see. If you do this

for 3 days, and for 3 days you are 6.6 or less 2 hours past eating a meal then

yes, you dont' have to check as much as long as you *always* keep your carb

grams the same at each meal, for example, 30 grams. It is all a numbers game

Ken... that's all...
