My DD is salicylate sensitive although she doesn't have major

reactions, only pees a lot and gets eczema after a while. I don't

know if I am or not--I didn't react during the challenge but my

reactions to food chemicals tend to take a long time to show up so it

might take weeks of eating a high salicylate diet to really know

whether I have problems with salicylates or not.

Refined stevia is actually Failsafe, although probably not allowed on

the elimination diet.

Hi PH,

It sounds like you and I have suffered from the same thing, as I know

exactly what you are talking about with that weird feeling. It's so

very hard to describe, but it's brain fog, vision disturbances, with

that looking-through-a-bottle aspect, and a feeling like you're

really not all there. I know what you mean exactly.

When I fasted, I had that feeling of brain fog/whatever-you-want-to-

call-it, but worse. It surprised me, because I thought for sure it

would go away as things got cleared out. I had expected to have some

sort of " clearing of my mind " , but no way did that happen. It

definitely got worse with fasting. And it happened every time I

fasted, so I knew that fasting was not going to fix it specifically.

In fact, I have never found anything that " fixed " it permanently, as

in a magic bullet that makes it disappaer. I don't know what brings

it on and I don't know what makes it go away. All I know is that it

would come and go, gradually getting less noticable over time. It's

gone for the most part now, but there are times when I have

flashbacks of it now and then, and I have no clue what causes it.

I've either lived with it so long I no longer notice it, or it's so

minor that it doesn't affect me.

I can't say that it is from fungus, or metals, or hormones, or what.

I simply don't know, but I have some hunches that it is associated

with hormones. I know it got worse before my period, always about a

week before. In looking at a hormone chart, that is when both

estrogen and progesterone take a plunge--that is what makes me think

it is associated with hormones, more than the other factors like

metals or fungus. Women have such a hugh fluctuation in hormones

levels through the month--very difficult to pinpoint what is going on.

It seems that other menopausal women have had issues with brain fog

too, and that is another reason that it seems related to hormones.

Dr. Shames wrote his book (Feeling Fat, Fuzzy and Frazzled),

which also discusses similar symptoms, so the only thing I haven't

figured out is why the green juices give us brain fog since that has

nothing to do with hormones!!!

(Maybe it does and I am just too dumb to know what it is?)

I think you've been very dedicated to eating right, and you probably

don't have any fungal issues to worry about. I'd think that Dr.

Mercola's office would have addressed that very well by now, and if

you've done caprylic acid, kefir, probiotics, a sugar free diet, and

healthy living, you've done plenty.

Sometimes it just takes time to let the body find it's own way back

to homeostasis, after you've done all you can do. I think you've been

to one of the best clinics in the country for treatment, and

traveling again would be up to you, but I think you've done plenty.

Rest easy girlfriend! You're going to get better in time! I know the

waiting is hard. But each effort you give for detoxing is getting

your body closer and closer to the goal of being toxin free as much

as you can be.

Thanks for the understanding and encouragement, Patty. I think I

just worry that I'm not doing enough in that I haven't done some of

the therapies you did, like the 12 cloves of garlic/day, Hulda

's wet cell battery, homeopathic drops, herbs, HBOT or

alkalizing drops in water. Everything else I'm doing and intend to

get into the fasting more but probably not for extended periods until

the metals are out. It just seems like so much!

My fatigue I think has lessened slightly so that's good. I honestly

don't know how you lasted for 4 years with this!

I have another question for you but I'll email privately. Thanks.

PH . . .Patty is the fasting expert . . . so if she doesn't notice this . . send a message to her privately.Personally, I think you have to know your limits and go by those though. What works for one person may not work for another. It sounds like you understand your limits. It's wonderful to hear your eyesight was perfect! . . . Shows you that you have the capability . .. it's just going to take a while longer to get completely there. Hugs,Rogene

Hi PH,

It's good to hear from you again and connect! I've missed talking to

you. I am thrilled that you are doing so good! You have really

learned alot and shared so much valuable information on this group,

and I am so thankful. It is a delight to see women like you getting

their health and lives back and seeing good progress on recovery.

Good question regarding the partial fasts. I myself never did

partial fasts. I always fasted for an entire day or for a series of

days, like 3, 5 or longer. I hated the really long fasts though, and

have not done them for quite some time.

I really think you should do what you feel comfortable with. Longer

fasting may need supervision from a naturopath if you are

experiencing stronger symptoms, like the dizziness and drunk-like

feeling. But the fact that you are experiencing more clarity is a

wonderful sign that you are clearing out some toxins and allowing

your body to heal at deeper levels.

You may want to do a trial fast for a longer time period to see if

you do indeed experience a deeper cleanse. Once I saw the rash on my

breasts after the 2nd-3rd day of fasting, I was motivated to go

longer. The visible evidence that it was working was really

encouraging. Only you know how well you may be able to handle it, so

do what you feel is safe.

I fasted probably once a month for a period of at least 3 days during

my last recovery stretch. My goal was to fast until I no longer saw

the rash appearing. Once I accomplished that goal, I felt very

relieved, and then I cut back on fasting, only doing one day periods

here and there.

In fact, you've just motivated me to do another fast!. One day fasts

of water only are very cleansing it's wise to continue doing them

even after you feel healed. Thanks PH!

God bless!

Hi Patty,

Good to hear from you as well! It has been a while, given your new

home business and that I haven't been posting as frequently lately

either.

Thanks for the fasting info. I fasted for two partial days and then

had soup for both dinners. I try to do more but I get too darn

dizzy. So I'm going to take a break and try it again later. I know

I asked this before but I don't recall your answer...on the days you

fasted did you do the coffee enemas as well? I know you're supposed

to follow them with 3 glasses of juice throughout the day, but do

you make it an exception when you water fast or just omit the enemas?

As far as Rubin, I have to believe his story. It's what gave me

hope in the first place. Honestly, I often think to myslef, " If

Rubin can do it, so can I. " I was always an " evidence-based

mainstream medicine " gal but I am finding that there seems to be

more stories of recovery based on detoxification and the belief that

God will heal...far more stories of complete recovery that way than

published scientifically.

The fact that Rogene detected a whiff of " professional jealousy " as

she said, goes to show that there are people who are intimidated by

the success of others. She is extremely intuitive and if she got

that feeling, it's likely that may have been the motivation for

those people to discredit his story.

To be honest, I think people are somewhat scared to think that Rubin

was healed by God as well...it makes people think that if they don't

heal then God must not love them...totally inaccurate as God loves

all and heals all, but developing that trust is a journey in

itself. I think those that are leary of God's healing feel

intimidated and want to disgrace stories such as Rubin's...JMO.

Amen! I agree Dede! God bless you! Patty Patty and PH ~ and AllGod answers all prayers. It is not always witha yes tho, because of the lessons that are beinglearned and taught.Ya know, it is the same as when people die, and thepeople in their family or circle of friends hurt and get angry.People dont die, they graduate " Earth School "and are born into heaven. Even tho we miss them, thisis a happy time, they are very lucky, and this is a time to celebratethem, and be happy for them.Ya know, I also believe that when it appears that people suffergreatly a horrible death, or accident, they really dont sufferlong or at all, if any. I think that people forget the pain partbecause of Gods protection. Remember when I had my

last heartepisode and I was shocked 6 times, 830 volts each ? ? I went tothe light and spoke with God. I told him I wanted to stay herelonger and asked if he could help me do that, I also asked him ifhe would not let the heart device shock me any more as I didntthink I could handle any more, well, he helped me live, but I didget shocked 2 more times. I do NOT remember the pain of itthough. So, even though I got one yes answer, I also got a noanswer, but through it, he protected me from the pain.Gods miracles happen to us each and every day, even if wedont see it. All we have to do is have our eyes, hearts, and mindsopen, he is there~God Bless ~ Love ~ Dede**************Need a new ride? I did a 11-day fast and can tell you that it didn't change my

situation at all! Well to tell the truth, it did change my situation:

I was even more emaciated! I was 59 kgs for 1m81! and couldn't gain

my weight back on the low calories vegeterian advocated by fasting

professionals. I had to reverse back to meat to gain some weight

back. By the way, I am now 77kgs and enjoy a muscular, fat free body

with this diet (I've been following it for 3 weeks but I started

following low carb diets when I understood vegeterianism brought me

most of my miseries).

I wouldn't recommend fasting to any one beside if you are in a life

threatening situation where I then believe it to be the last resource

of the body.

+++Hi . This is from my article " Not Recommended Supplements,

Treatments, etc.:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/mn22.php

" Fasting is intended to give the body a rest and/or to allow it to

clear out toxins and wastes. However, while your body is fasting it

is also not getting the nutrients it needs for healing and energy. It

is more important to give the body what it needs to affect healing,

allowing it to cleanse as it sees fit.

Every day between meals your body needs to fast so it can assimilate

and utilize the nutrients without having to direct its energies

towards digesting more food. That is why snacking is not recommended.

Some people do a type of fasting where they only consume the raw egg

drink for a few days at a time. That is not considered " true fasting "

and it wouldn't cause problems because you would be getting plenty of

nutrients and energy. "

Subjects like this one can be Searched on my website.

Hi Bee,

I was wondering about doing the Master Cleanse.  Do you support doing any

fasting?  If so, is the Master Cleanse o.k.?  They use maple syrup in the

ingredients, yet I hear people with candida have had success.

Also, can I have pumpkin?

Thanks for all of your help.

+++Hi Gloria. No, I do not recommend the Master Cleanse, nor

fasting - see these articles which explain why:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/clean1.php

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/mn22.php

This program naturally cleanses and detoxifies so efficiently and

effectively, mainly because of its high " good " fats. Of course no

nutrients work alone, so it is the entire program working together

that provides your body with what it needs to heal itself.

Thanks ,

There is a big difference between fasting with distilled water vs water with

minerals intact.

I have preferred water with the minerals intact myself.

I wonder why she picked distilled water?

Hi,The longest duration of fasting I have ever done was the 37 day fast. Wow, the healing was unbelievable compared to other fasting I had done over a 4 year period. The trick to fasting one must stay on a longer duration for healing, and incorporate cleansing. I was blind a couple of times, loss control of my fingers and so much pain I wanted to die (felt as if, broken glass was underneath the skin). When one dabbles in fasting sure you will see some sort of relief but not enough unless one follows the fasting and cleansing all at the same time, then you see miracles happen. Otherwise the shorter fasting will give some relief and in a short times maybe a few days it all reappears.I am going to share a few paragraphs from my new book Cure Yourself Naturally-

What to do when your doctor cannot heal you...This gives step-by-step instruction on the protocols to follow. There is also a free preview on my website of the book at www.ginascorner.comOtherwise feel free to ask me question, I will be glad to answer.Chapter 12Fasting GuidelinesOnce you establish your mindset, fasting really is quite simple. Making and keeping yourself healthy is at your fingertips and not out of reach. It is a really great feeling to have that much control over your own health.Missing ComponentYou name it, I tried it! Many times there is a missing component of putting all the pieces of the pie together for natural healing. One of the missing components to natural healing is giving the body a break to fix itself,

and that is accomplished by fasting. Healing does not have to take years, or even months. With just fasting alone, it did not work any significant length of time. I always ended up returning to fasting. If you are asking yourself,†Why, did she keep returning?â€It worked, immediately on the symptoms that I was experiencing. It would stop the pain of Optic Neuritis dead in its tracks from the very first day of a fast.Following the pain was deteriorating vision, and being on a fast it would stop at the pain and not go any further. When I lost control of my fingers, and could not open a car door, nor button my jeans. Every day on a fast I had seen great improvement, from the previous day.Fasting was always a short term fix. Until I figured out, the missing component to healing my body. A very simplified method, gives your body a break with these, 3 simple steps.CleanseNourishLet Thy Body Heal

Dear Aloha Sharon,

When I was in the BMS (Sprycel) study, I used to set my clock for 3:00 a.m.

so I could eat and drink coffee upon arising. We eat at 5:00 p.m., so in

keeping with the schedule, I took the BMS pills at 3:00 p.m. to be able to eat

with my family. One day, Jimmy changed my clock (no, he didn't clean my clock)

for me to get up early and I raised my voice and asked what the heck he thought

he was doing changing my alarm, that he would make me miss my proper time for my

meds. He hadn't thought of it then, but he never forgot it after that. That

was very inconvenient, but the best of a difficult situation for me.

I have never been to a lab that required an appointment. So, we always

just get to the lab when they first open, so we can then go to get

breakfast. I don't usually fast to see the doctor, which is typically

scheduled for a day or two after the lab draw.
