Guest guest
No, I'm only going to the hospital when I need an IV med to stop my nose from bleeding profusely because of a genetic bleeding disorder, vonWillebrand's disease. Once they diagnosed the ministrokes, they told me that going to the hospital was pointless - the ER won't do anything but watch me. I can be observed by my neighbors at home, with my stuff, my animals, etc. If it lasts more than 24hrs, then I call my MD. Otherwise I just talk to the MD when I go every 3 months. ; ) Willow --- angelbear1129@... wrote: > > > Thanks Willow, > How are You doing now??? Guest guest
I hear what you saying :-) and ditto on a lot of it. My son has taught me so much and I do believe that children can teach us things if only adults would truly listen. " I have observed the natives and I don't want to assimilate. " Definitely agree - I don't want to be 'normalized'. " I dumbed myself down to keep from losing my mind. " I have had to verbally dumb down my language just to get people to understand what I am saying. My mum has commented that I do not talk like 'normal' people do - her wording. I did press her for further information and it turns out it is my choice of words - in otherwords I wasn't 'dumbing down' enough verbally - she mentioned such words as 'cognition' that I use and 'processing', 'interaction' etc - to me all valid and understandable words - but obviously not 'dumbed down' enough for some. " I don't have to fit in(be social)I can be effective and have contact on my terms. " I much prefer social/contact on my terms :-) I really don't see the point in all the social nonsense that many non aspies engage in and seem to enjoy 'going out', parties and the like. For many non aspies (and strangely enough a few social aspies) it seems all they are interested in is having a full social life and from what I can surmise it is mostly full of nothing - it is insubstantial and generally appears to be of little worth - or maybe that is just my perspective, as I really don't understand what people get out of such hectic (and yet to me empty) social lifes. Have a nice weekend and I look forward to your return :-) > > I am on a bit of an unwanted oddesy. i will be back Monday. Much is > difficult. Too many different directions to mention. My mum has commented that I do not talk like 'normal' people do - her wording. I can relate to this. In school, I had to dumb myself down to keep from becoming more of a target than I was anyway, especially in college. Using words that were part of my normal vocabulary, meaning big, precise words, got me treated like a leper. In college especially I had not desire to assimilate with the peons. I was there to learn, not party and get drunk. Had the other smart kids banded together, I might have joined up. However, the only group like that was the writing club, and most of them were, well, not people I wanted to associate with: meaning druggies, Goths and radical leftists. To be honest, only one other person had any particular talent. But then again, they made my work look good by association. Hmm, was going to add something else, but lost my train of thought. Having yet another tree cut down today. The bad wind storm we had last week blew one over so that it is leaning very badly and is going to fall over the power lines and into the street. I really hate the idiots that laid out this neighborhood 50 years ago. They left far too many big trees. I mean, there are still a lot of trees in my yard alone and over the years we have taken at least 16 out. The remaining trees are mostly very old for their species and are getting sick and dying. Its just an expensive pain in the neck. See what's free at AOL.com.

He believes that we should have dumbed it down a tad by making it less " literary " and merely citing sources instead of quoting them. In my opinion the podcasts are already written on a very dumbed down scale. But we'll let you all be the judge when they are finally available for your listening pleasure. Guest guest
Hello from northern Wisconsin. Ground snow covered and five to ten below zero at night for the last two weeks. Got my yearly bad cold with bad cough on top of everything else and by chance read where if you rub Vicks on the bottom of your feet it will make you stop coughing. This is no joke I tried it and it worked. Sure wish I would have known about this before. Larry
