Actually only one company requires EMT-P, that would

be KBR. Paramedic is primarily a US level of training

not necessarily recognized by the rest of the world.

There are EMT-Bs employed here and “medics” from other

countries that don’t have the US Paramedic Certs. It

all depends on the company that is recruiting.

How would a US Basic with 25 plus years as well as a newly minted EMT-I (85)

Glad to hear you are doing a little bit better. :0) Hope you get even better really soon. Thats cool that you are doing a website. Hope that goes well for you. Don't worry Dannegirl, I'm here. I just got home from the doctor's office. Not good news. All of my LFTs are up, double what they were last time & the ammonia has come down just a bit - it's still 3x normal so I'm stuck with the f#$#@% Lactulose. I asked about the antibiotics that supposedly work when the lactulose doesn't & she said the last time she gave them to a patient he ended up in the psych ward for a month. She IS glad that I've decided to go for the TP assessment. Me, I'm just tired, exhausted, pooped, so while I am reading everyone's posts, I'm not replying as much. Love ya, SuZiedannegrl

Hi Ya I'm here just been very tired and don't know where the days have gone hell don't know where the last 6 months have gone. Worst part the last 6 months have been a blur and went by way to fast. Me the same things going on just more of it. More low grade temps - chills - cold sweats - no energy and when I do just small things zaps more of my energy and more fevers, chills and sweats. Liver enzymes are fine but the virus and post transplant stuff and meds is kicking my butt big time. I need energy. Boost ain't doing it. Since last week - Mel got hit with identity theft. Hi dannegrl, thanks for thinking of me,Im here, about to do shot 51 this Sunday and my last one on March 12.

My hair has gotten thin and straight but not falling out.I've gained weight while on tx.But Im undetectable and alive with two granddaughters, that will be arriving on March 31,and April 19.

On March 11th we will be hosting family and friends from Nebraska to Florida to celebrate the life of my best friend and nephew, who took his own life on December 2 of last year.I want to keep it upbeat and not funeral like.I've never hosted anything before, were very private people,so it will be a challenge.

Im 50 and a full time student and it is hard as hell trying to think anymore, but can't be bad for me.

I have stopped my anti- d's and Psych appointments,my wife is starting to call me bad names,so I just yell back, maybe it's time for flowers.

Hope your not sorry you asked.

I've got maybe a silly question to ask - how do people gain weight while on treatment, I lost my appetite and lost weight. Do some people get more hungry than normal

Hi ,hope your doing ok.

I don't have much of an appetite and eat pretty well,I don't get it either.I have a skinny wife who eats twice as much as I do.

I have heard of this happening to others, maybe inherited metabolism or the fatigue factor,I definitely don't move as much as I used to.

Hey Micheal,

Congrats on your last shot!!!I have a daughter like that - she can eat anything she wants, all day long if she wants to and she weighs 98 lbs wet.

So were you still able to eat normal on treatment or did you feel even more hungry?

Thanks for asking about me - I am hanging in there, but so much stress right now and then the mono is seriously kickin my butt.... In fact, I pushed my desk up to the edge of the bed tonight, as I am too weak to sit at the desk..

Anyways, I will keep you in my prayers, and it shouldn't be too long after you last shot and you should be feeling better. But then again everyone is so different. Gosh, I felt great pretty darn quick, I would say within 6 months, and now I am going to battle it again, sometimes I can't believe it. But I will endure - somehow, I have got to get back closer in my faith, as I know I have fallen so to speak - this whole deal was just so unexpected.

Well good luck to you my friend...

May God continue to bless you and your family

Of couse I'm not sorry for asking. I am sorry for your loss(in Dec) and the rough time ahead. You sure picked a great time to get off the anti-d's. But if you feel realy to face life with out them, more power to you my friend. Two girls!!! That is wonderful. Madison should be thrilled, well maybe some day she will be. lol. 50 and a full time student!!! I am jealous. I wish I could do half that good. Sounds like you do need to go to the local flower shop for the Mrs. I am so happy to hear you are nearly finished. I go on the 16th for lab work. Then April 4th i see my dr. The plan is tx then. Fun!! Missed you at chat. love and hugs danne <kcmija@...> wrote: Hi dannegrl, thanks for thinking of me,Im here, about to do shot 51 this Sunday and my last one on March 12. Chemo + radiation since last November, everything else is pretty much under control right now. Cancer tx is kicking my butt though! If Im not working or at school Im in bed or on the couch! Ive lost 75% of my hair (the most Ive lost so far!) and spend 3 days a week sicker than a dog (wonder how that expression started?) I REFUSE to become disabled so I am forcing myself to continue to work as much as possible, around 24 hours a week and Im in nursing school. I have 4 treatments left and then the rounds of testing begins again! So far its come back each time but not as bad. Also had 2 laser surgeries to "burn" it down/out. Its been an interesting ride. I am in a great relationship, kinda started with a bang, last year on my birthday I went out with some friends, this was September and I had just left a 12 year relationship, well to make a long story short (um, ok, too late!) I met this long tall cowboy and we were

hitting it off really well, I sorta recognized him but couldnt figure out where from, we got to talking and I finally asked him his last name, come to find out that I had this major crush on him in High school!!!! We had even dated a couple of times back then but he had to move and we lost touch. Next thing I know Im in the hospital and he is leaning over me calling my name. Appears that I had a seizure at the bar (how embarassing!) and he carried me out and put me in his truck and took me in. We have been together since! I think that sometimes he has some trouble with dealing with my problems but at least he cant say I tried to hide them! LOL. Well, this intro is a lot longer than I thought it was gonna be. Welcome ,

I'm sorry to hear you have cancer, my sister-in-law does as well, she started with lung cancer (never smoked) and it spread to her brain and bones. This was a year ago and she was given only 2-4 months to live but she is kicking cancer butt and is still here! She is doing very well and is a spokesperson for the LiveStrong organization. Her story is very inspiring. As for me why am I here? I have fibromyalgia, asthma, allergies, chronic sinusitis, along with a few other things. My daughter is 22 and she has cystic fibrosis.

Good to have you here with us, you'll find lots of fellow sickies and we love to chat on the computer!

Hi , It's nice to meet you and welcome to the club. I liked your intro... esp. the part about your current relationship. Things tend to work out in a good way every now and again. My name is Cheryl. I'm here for Celiac, PTSD (from all of the Celiac hooplah prior to being diagnosed), depression, and anxiety. Because of PTSD, I'm pretty much home bound... for now. I have anxiety attacks everytime I get into a vehicle. I start flipping out just thinking about having to go somewhere... it's driving me crazy. Anyway, I'm married to and we have 4 kids ages 12, 11, 6, and 5. They're home schooled. I admire you for your strength. I feel like I'm not strong enough to face the PTSD and go on with my life. It's really made things a tad bit

hard in our household. Take care.reesie271 <reesie271@...> wrote: Hi, My name is and I'm new to this group, I also have multiple issues,it seems that they can never come alone can they? Im on my fifth round of Chemo + radiation since last November, everything else is pretty much under control right now. I am in a great relationship, kinda started with a bang, last year on my birthday I went out with some friends, this was September and I had just left a 12 year relationship, well to make a long story short (um, ok, too late!) I met this

long tall cowboy and we were hitting it off really well, I sorta recognized him but couldnt figure out where from, we got to talking and I finally asked him his last name, come to find out that I had this major crush on him in High school!!!! Its just so nice to be able to talk to beings that understand what Im going through! Thanks all!~*~Cheryl~*~http://www.geocities.com/chemar633/

Hi Cheryl!

It took me a long time to get to this point with the PTSD, I was

homebound for 2 years cause I just couldn't face going outside

without having attacks, The only people that I could deal with were

my hubby and my mom, so they brought me what I needed and helped me

out. Finally I got to the point where I could slowly start to do

things and it snowballed from there. I still get attacks but its

much better now.

Thanks for the kind welcome!

intro... esp. the part about your current relationship. Things tend

to work out in a good way every now and again.

Celiac hooplah prior to being diagnosed), depression, and anxiety.

Because of PTSD, I'm pretty much home bound... for now. I have

anxiety attacks everytime I get into a vehicle. I start flipping out

just thinking about having to go somewhere... it's driving me crazy.

Anyway, I'm married to and we have 4 kids ages 12, 11, 6, and

5. They're home schooled.

enough to face the PTSD and go on with my life. It's really made

things a tad bit hard in our household.
