How exciting your beginning a family! Your dogs need some one to play with.

Hee-hee

You should find this is a very informative active group. It's a comfort to be a

part of being that non- vaxxers are of the minority. lots of support.

Thank you for the warm welcomes everyone:) Kathleen we share a very

similar story! Our first Great Dane was three years ago and before

getting him I researched raw feeding/natural raising and through my

search for information on this I started thinking about human

vaccination...great how these silent family members can lead us to so

much knowledge!!

We have something like that in Rochester, it's called the Public Market, but it's not in the best area of the city and you have to fight for parking.

Yes, allergies are very possibly related to vaccinations, as well as ear

In this case you have a wise MIL!

As you will learn on this list, I talk a lot about homeopathy and how it

can cure such things as you've mentioned above.

Your comment about your daughter's speech development caught my eye. I have a

Hi, !

As for not having had any reactions, you describe two of your children, Caleb

and Annette, as having problems that are considered classic vaccine-induced

reactions/injuries.

First, allergies can be the result of the DPT vaccine at a minimum. Second,

speech and language problems are associated with Thimerosal, the preservative

that has been used in many vaccines that is almost 50% Mercury.

That is the simple answer, but the real answer is probably more complicated

depending upon which vaccines they have received and what was in them. The

reactions that they have also depends upon their individual genetics.

It is important to know your children's vaccination history so that you can

identify which vaccines they have had and what those vaccines contained. Your

pediatrician is required by law to keep those records, and you can request a

copy of them.

There has been some good research done so that we now know a lot. For instance,

the DPT allergy connection can be made when we realize that allergies are a Th 2

immune reaction, which DPT provokes specifically. There are only two types of

immune reactions, Th 1 and Th 2, and normal people are primarily Th 1

responders, with the ability to have a Th 2 response when specifically provoked.

But people who have persistent and chronic allergies are having predominantly Th

2 responses, and its as if they can't turn this off. It's just always on, which

plays havoc with their health.

As to the Thimerosal issue, there is a lot of information available now as to

the kinds of problems that Mercury poisoning produces. However, the good news

is that this damage could be substantially corrected by chelation therapy, with

young children having the best chance of successful recovery.

There are many other things that can be discussed regarding the effects of the

various childhood vaccines (not to mention anti-biotics), but the bottom line is

that your children will definitely be healthier without them. This is a great

place to begin to learn about the issues.

It is ok to rant. Rant away, that is what we are here for. Take it one day at a

time.Exercise is also part of the key. If you are not exercising already, start

slow and easy. Walking is great. I started walking again today, what a great way

to relieve stress.

Good luck and we are here for you.

Hi everyone!

My name is Amy, 25, and I'm a SAHM to nearly 3 yo Accalia and

expecting a little one in August. At this point, we do not plan to

vaccinate the baby, and we've stopped vaccinating Accalia - quite

some

time ago actually. Accalia was vax'ed according to schedule through 9

months and then received a few vaxes after that. Her last one was the

individual measles and that was more than a year ago. I guess my dh

and I are still trying to figure it all out and have decided to not

do

anything else right now.

I hope to learn a lot from everyone!

Dani,

The only organ of the human body capable of producing anti-bodies to fight the

polio virus is in the tonsils. If you think about the medical drive to

routinely pull our tonsils (get your whole family done and get a discount!!!) of

You have cool names for your kids!

I joined an organic produce co-op. It costs $20-23 per week and I get so

much I have to split the share with another mom. A friend of mine found a

organic distributor. We put in an order (typical order is: apples, bananas,

salad greens, kiwis, peppers, zucchinis, onions, potatoes). She increases it

by twelve shares or people at a time (twelve pick up at her house, and

twelve at her co-op partner's. We get the food in cases and divide it at

someone's house. She always has a waiting list and the food's great. It

really gets beat up in the store! It's actually getting to be pretty

popular, I hear. Check into it and see if you can join (or start)one in your

area. Good Luck!

Boy do I hear you about that hindsight re vaxxing. It's painful!

I mentioned that to the Urologist Fri and he said he wasn't aware that was

still a theory. Besides the coincidence of tonsillectomies and polio, do

you have other links supporting this theory? I believe it is so along with

I've spoken with you earlier and welcome. I TOO was born in 1950 and know

the truth! So have her talk to me.

She can't even remember the polio epidemic. It was on the wane when she

was 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 years old The vacccine came out 1 year after it already

was on the decline in 1955 and people started dying seriously from the

vaccine (called the Cutter incident). Might want to read my webpages on polio

http://www.nccn.net/~wwithin/polio.htm

BUT NOT bring it up with your mother. Just wanted you to know some of us

born in 1950 have woken up.

Of course. Do what you can for a better diet, certainly. If you vax

someone who doesn't have a healthy diet it is EVEN more of a risk. Yes,

you know the answer.

Who are you seeing as a homeopath. Be sure they are a good one - classical!

Are they on my list ;-)

not everyone who says they are a homeopath are qualified - need 4+ years of

school and mentorship basically!

Hi, Tonya!

Welcome! I have to say you are really strong and courageous for committing

yourself to your convictions (which, when you research the subject, seems to

be common sense, but it's NOT-I continually come across people who choose

the status quo because they fell COMFORTABLE there). We vaxxed my son right

into kindergarten. We now have another child who will not be vaxxed (neither

will my son anymore).

your old Ped sounds like an ignorant fool, more interested in his comfort

zone than the truth (and didn't you challenge his comfort zone!). What a

coward. Good Decision.

Welcome Welcome

H.

>Dh and I have a 20 month old son and I am currently 4 months pregnant. We

>decided not to vax. either of our children (or at least I did) and when I

>shared all the information I had with my very conservative husband he

>readily agreed.

>

>I originally became leary of vaccinations when my house cat had a near fatal

>reaction to her annual series within an hour of receiving it. I had

>originally questioned the reasoning behind vaccinating a house cat who NEVER

>gets outside unless on a leash with me beside her, and who would obviously

>have very little chance of contracting disease from other cats. My vet was

>determined to vaccinate her regardless of her individual situation, then the

>reaction... and my eyes were opened.

>

>Over and over I have been shocked by what I've learned since about

>themselves get subjected to for the sake of big business. It sickens me.

>

>My family is upset that we are not vaccinating, but over time have become

>respectful. My ds's Ped. asked us to leave the practice and since we live

>I was actually pleased to catch ds's Ped. in a lie! At one point I asked

>least to wait and see what allergies my son has before exposing him to the

>allergens internally. He said that severe allergic reactions would actually

>increase with age, so really it was safer to give the vaccine now. At

>another visit, he told me that just before I got there, a couple had been in

>the waiting room who had just returned from the Dominican Republic where a

>polio case had just been discovered " that's how close you were, " he said.

>When I told him that I wasn't aware of any risk from sharing a waiting room
