Is Kori in same office with Eckman? I thought she was in with Koller. Koller is very chiro. friendly by the way, no problem with return referrals on work comp. pts. Kori should be ok too, did get return referral on first pt. I sent to her. I understand new guy Schlesser open minded.

Re: (unknown)

Eckman is a neurologist here in Bend.I have a Work Comp patient who is going to see him this week, so we'll see.I remember another neuro here in Bend, now retired, say that Eckman was notparticularly chiro. friendly, that was years ago.I have not had any other of my patients see him except for unrelated issues.Anybody else in Central Oregon have any input?

I used to enjoy racing when I was a kid, but kind of

got out of it. The names when I was following were

like, Andretti, Parnelli , the Unser boys,

Petty, I'm thinking about watching again. My

son is interested and a good friend of mine is always

going to the races. I never really watched them much

on TV, but at the track. -dz-

We had lots of fun with that too. I grew up in

Milwaukee, so we had " the Milwaukee mile " which drew

several big races a year. I liked the stock cars back

in the days of the muscle cars in the late 60's, early

70's. There's not as much available around Green Bay,

but there are a few tracks around. -dz

Actually, I have no idea. We met her through the ER, I just assumed, and you know what that does.

K. Carpentier, D.C., D.A.B.C.O.

Hi

What driver do you root for. Susy roots for Rusty

Wallace & I root for Jeff Gorgon.

Perfectly said Tom well done!

Vern Saboe

(unknown)While I agree that the neurologist's quote is uncalled for and displays a lack of understanding of chiropractic care, what has not been presented are his other findings and conclusions. Was all care cut off based on his conclusions? Were there inconsistent findings? Dr. DeSiena reported that it was a severe MVA - was this based only on the report from the patient or were other factors looked at and discussed. Dr. DeSiena said he had referred the patient for a neuro consult. This may have been the reason that only a neurologist was requested for the examination. However, if Progressive was interested in aspects of chiropractic and other physical medicine procedures, than a DC should have also been placed in the evaluation process. If Dr. DeSiena is to write a rebuttal to the report he needs to address his objective findings that support the need for continued care. The neuro may have lost significant credibility for his bias statement, but it is still just an opinion. What findings does Dr. Eckman describe that support his position. What other objective findings were reported that Dr. DeSiena can dispute or challenge based on his own examinations and ongoing treatment. Let's not miss the point that if Dr. DeSiena's patient still has clinical findings that warrant treatment as related to the accident, he needs to respond above, beyond, and around the unsubstantiated statement of Dr. Eckman. Otherwise it is nothing more than an argument about which profession does what. Lets argue the facts about this patient and his/her needs. Prejudice, of whatever type, racial, religious, ethnic, or professiona, is going to continue to some degree. Here Dr. DeSiena has an opportunity to rise above it by arguing facts, and not dwelling on the minor emotional insult. By responding back in professional manner, Dr. DeSiena will prove himself to Progressive. No yelling, threats, or penalties are going to change Dr. Eckman's " opinion " . Such action may only make it worse and serve no purpose but to wallow in the mud. Tom Freedland

Hi Terry

I don't root for any particular driver. Probably Dale Jr. or the Labontes'.

Terry & Bobby are from Corpus Christi. We used to go and watch Terry race at

the local track before he got into Nascar.

Hi Terry

I'm glad to hear that you didn't have any problem with your first treatment.

I remember when I first started I was surprised to find that it wasn't as

bad as I had been expecting it to be. I'm just now coming to the end of my

second round of treatment. When I finish my last box I'm finally done.

It was a pretty good game. It went back and forth

quite a bit before the Eagles took off. I rooted for

them, but the packers may have been better off had the

bears won. We handed them 2 of their 3 losses this

year. Well, we have to win today or that's a moot

point. GO PACK!!!

Hi Diane

Glad that your Eagles won.

I remember playing in the snow when I was a kid. Didn't have 4 wheelers when

I was little, or many hills for that matter. Had to have someone pull us on

the sled.

I had the labs done back in October, but haven't called to get the results

yet. I have to see my primary care doctor in Feb. I will probably get them

then.

Well, as you know by now, we got beaten severely about

the face and neck. They're an awesome team, yet the

Packers were definitely not on their game. I'll be

rooting for your Eagles the rest of the way and maybe

we'll meet for our big match next year!!

I remember going down on one of those steel saucers

and slamming right into a tree (there wasn't much

steering capability). I knocked my lower eye tooth

right through my lip. I actually had to pull my lip up

off of it. Luckily I was naturally anesthetized by the

cold temperature. As I remember it healed up pretty

good, it wasn't as traumatic as I would have thought

it would be. -dz-
