Guest guest
Well, that's a hard one (forgive the pun). Karac is 11 and has started puberty too, but he isn't doing that yet; he is going to the bathroom more frequently and maybe that is why. Would it help to suggest that touching himself like that is allowed only in the bathroom? I would be interested in any suggestions that you receive. Guest guest
The ASHP on sterile products does teach a proper re-capping. I call it the " swoop " method. Place the needle cap on the work surface area of the hood (parallel to the back of the hood) - DO NOT hold on to the cap, " swoop " the syringe, inserting the needle into the cap, then lift it up and snap the cap in place. It may take some practice - my students tend to " chase the cap " around the hood for a bit. There are occasions that require a needle change - as Karin said - if the syringe is going to the floor or if you are withdrawing from a amp and need to use a filter needle to inject into the bag, I've even dropped the syringe in the hood and had the needle contact the work surface. Guest guest
I've been pondering this same question. I've read that 500 ppm CS is made in Mexico. Read this on the Oxyplus board () http://traceminerals.com (hope the link is correct) seems like a good idea to enhance conductivity. I'm working in a surgeon's office as their bariatric coordinator, here in Burbank, CA. I enjoy reading the information posted on this site. One of my patients is 4 weeks post op and is complaining about her head feeling " fuzzy " , probably like " chemo brain " (if any of you are familiar with that). She is eating 3 meals/day and 2 protein supplements. She says she's comsuming close to 60g pro/day, taking her vit/min, B12, iron, calcium citrate...eating some carbs w/meals, drinking fluids. She does not complain of dizziness but more like she's unable to focus or concentrate. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Guest guest
When I check my distilled water it reads 1 ppm, after I add about 1/2 cup of CS from the last batch it reads 4-5 ppm, so I run it until it reads about 10 ppm. If I forget and it starts turning yellow or gray I keep it for external use. Dick Re: (unknown) > > > I've been pondering this same question. > I've read that 500 ppm CS is made in Mexico. Guest guest
Hi Ghaida, If you read my earlier reply to Darren. You will get my suggestions (For what they are worth) Hope you find something you can do. I have always felt that I have taken longer to get to the stage I am at now due to the fact that I was quite fit when it all started and tried to keep exercising for as long as possible. Struggling a bit nowadays though. Take care,
Guest guest
Ghaida, does your doctor check your blood offen? if you are on methotrex. you should get your kidney and liver levels checked every few months. that might be able to answer your question if you should keep taking the drug. not if its harming your body

From my experience, I had levels of 46 which totally negated the effects of TRT. I reduced it and felt much better. But I overshot, it dropped to 17 and then to 8. (And probably lower because I mistakenly misinterpreted some pains as too high a level and edged my Arimidex up a bit.) At 8 and below I was tired, fatigued and had lots of pain in joints, bones and muscles. I feel I need to be above that 17 mark, but not much. - - - - Just another albino black sheep

Guest guest
Hi, Just reading thru your e-mail.........it can be a scary thing for you cos it is a BIG step.........the 29th July? I'll be thinking of you on this day.......I have had my implant almost 3 years now - and it felt like I only had the op yesterday!! I am from the UK so it probably be different to the USA.........I was petrified about my CI op - was terrified of the op - will I make it? Will I get thru it - like other people I heard no one had actually died from CI surgeries........when I came round in Recorvery (5hrs later) I cannot tell you the massive relief I felt - I MADE it!! Don't worry about the insurances - if your audiologist said it covered then it is covered - they would never say otherwise I am sure........ Any questions?? Let me know.........Alison wildbanditkj <wildbanditkj@...> wrote:I'm excited and terrified at the same time. I am due to have a cochlear implant surgrey on July 29th. That's in 12 days. I'm scared to death because i feel like this is a BIG change in my life. I'm worried that something will go wrong during the surgrey and I will die. Or somewhere around that line. I'm getting hooked up to the Clarion. I'm also uncertain if the insurance will actually cover the surgrey and the device. The people i'm working with, the audiologist, the surgeon are all saying that my insurance covers it. It just seems to be alot of money for the insurance to be paying for, so I'm not ready to trust it. I mean, it is 60,000 dollars. I don't have that kind of money. I'm just paranoid. I'm also am not a very patient person. I decided to get the surgrey done in the very city that I am living in, because I'm a college student and don't have that much money, so i couldn't afford gas money. I just hope that the doctor who is going to do it is good at it. I've heard from several people that this doctor is the best in the area. I'd love to hear anything you have to say to this. It went away for a little while, until I wanted to participate in a summer sports program and they identified the problem. I had to get a clear brace with velcro straps in the back and I wore it for about a year or two. I was 13. Now, I'm almost 18 and I still have scoliosis. I know that I can get the surgery but I'm not willing to take that chance. Is there any websites or information that anyone can give to me about alternate treatment options? Also, I'm depressed. Is that associated with scoliosis too or is it just a " teen " thing? Thanks!

I and two of my friends had Scoliosis diagnosed on X-rays, I had the surgery, one was put in a cast, and one had a Milwaukee brace. All three of us had problems later in life (in our 30's.) Unless you have a curve that will restrict your breathing, or cause you pain and other medical problems, I tell my friends not to do anything until they come up with better options. In the meantime, ultrasound, accupressure and massage help manage my pain (along with prescription drugs.) As for depression, I have that, too, and I'm sure the pressure of being " different " and having medical problems young contribute to that, it's no wonder! Hang in there! Guest guest
Thanks Cheryl, I looked online and my local library has the Fight Fat After Forty book. I was going to go to the library tomorrow and get another book anyway so I will pick that up while I am there and at least skim through it to see if there is anything applicable and useful for me (male over 40). I usually keep some 5-HTP around the house in case I start waking up in the middle of the night. I am out right now. I had run out of glutamine, but have gotten restocked and have started taking it at bedtime, and before and after intense exercise. Don (unknown) I haven't. I'm assuming since it was specifically noted for A's, it's not so important for O's. I need to look at the Fight Fat After Forty book (Pamela Peeke). It has the discussion about the cortisol cycle and timing of starches. She also recommends no starch after 5 pm and 65% of calories before 5 pm mainly to avoid excess fat storage. Excellent discussion of exercise and people with cortisol vs. adrenaline issues. The book is intended for women, so don't know how well it would apply to men. I use glutamine and 5-HTP to deal with the serotonin issue rather than evening carbs. Right now I'm on the low carb at night side of the fence with Irene. Guest guest
, There are only a HANDFUL of Dr.'s in the U.S. that do this. It is too labor intensive and not cost effective for them to take this on. Sad.....but true! Some will say chest wall deformity, but Shellie hit the nail on the head! Scoliosis causes chest wall defomity! Sorry for all !!!!!!, I am feeling alot of emotion right now. LOL Crista
