Yup Dodgy,

We had a similar thing here a while ago, One of the service companies supply

boats somehow crashed in to a Jacket at full speed... Apparently they did

not see it

Happening a little bit too often with us though I'm afraid , we got alot

of UN sanction busting rogue traders out here who don't recognise bloody

great big bits of metal sticking out of the sea, they'd rather use us as

cover to get past the navy and slip into Iraq and the like.

Then when it all goes belly up on them abandon ship and sod off to leave

others to clear up the mess.

Way of the world i guess.......

I know when I was working on the shell papa, we always ran out of A4

paper on our shift, that seemed to be the biggest problem.

on the medical front, I dealt with very few real emergencies in 6 years in

the north sea, but I think it evened out over both shifts.

Hi,

One comment. Before my myotomy, I too tried nitroglycerin. I can't say

whether it helped or not. I didn't take it very long. I had to stop

taking it because it gave me instant, pounding headaches. Has this

happened to anyone else?

Yes, Pam, nitro glycerin gave me violent headaches

too. I was first given nitro when they were checking

my heart. They wanted to rule out the possibility that

the spasms were heart attacks. They did the pain

no good but my head pounded for hours.

After my dilation the grasto guy gave me a prescription

for nitro. I told him about the headaches and he said

the headaches should not last but a few minutes. Mine

did, they lasted for hours and I never had that prescription

filled. I still have it and may have to resort to trying

it again someday, but right now my spasms are of short

duration so I am holding off.

Hi Pam,

Ohhh yes, they gave me " big time " headaches and did absolutely nothing for the

spasms. The esophagus is such a strong muscle, and I think a lot of G.I.

Doctors can't understand that, so they treat it like it's another muscle.

Lyme Disease is strictly Borrelia... Lyme Disease, Erlichia and Babesia are

all seperate tick infections and one can have all 3 at one time....

Best of luck, Ron. Soon it will all be in the past and you'll be as good

as new by Christmas, if not sooner.

Every person is different. You will learn from me that antibiotics just

suppress and drive whatever is wrong deeper. Health is not about getting

rid of bugs - its making yourself healthier so bugs don't want you - you

are nto susceptible. I'll be starting another homeopathy internet class in

January - you may want to take it.

Rarely does ANYONE need antibitics other than in life/death situation.

It used to be said that a strep throat goes away in 7 days with antibiotics

and takes a week without them (or was that ear infections - can't remember)

Same thing!

Kick the antibiotic habit. You are only weakening your immune system. Get

thee to the homeopath

wouldn't it depend on how bad the infection is?

how about treating it herbally?

Now, I treat things herbally, but does not....I just don't really

know the answer to her question, because we do take care of things without

antibiotics..

Thanks,

,

I have to say I have found any colds or upset tummys or sore throats etc. take a

little bit longer when taking Vitamin C, zinc, Echinacea and garlic to help the

body than with antibiotics, not a week longer in our case though.

I would much rather the icky thing take a day or so longer than take drugs just

so it will SEEM as though it has gone quicker when it has probably just gone

back into the body and will appear again as something else, maybe even something

nastier.

Antibiotics suppress the immune system - don't take em!!!

And I personally feel so much healthier and stronger since switching to

Vitamins, homeopathy, herbals and EO's to help my body with whatever is going on

at the time!!

Sheri, I was wondering: I had to take a 7-day course of antibiotics two

weeks ago because I'd been caughing for some five weeks, with also some

asthma associated with it. (Diagnostic: asthmatic bronchitis.) None of my

usual " tricks " worked. (Vit. C, Oscillo., etc) Being pregnant (31 weeks),

the OB suggested that my immune system was down, to avoid fighting off the

presence of the baby, and that it was important to kill the bug so I would

be in better shape for the baby.

The antibio did kill whatever I had within days and the asthma disappeared

also. Do you think the same reasonning should have applied then? (I should

have just waited?) Just wondering what your thoughts are.
