Hi and thanks for responding....

More details, my son who is 15 acts like he is 7. He has just

recently been diagnosed, he is not on meds just yet but we are

checking into that. His ocd is more that of the mental kind, seeing

things, including dead realitives. He does do the counting, and like

myself does not like horror or blood and guts movies. He has always

had a problem relating with his peers, do to the extreme inmatuaty.

I want to have the patients he needs and give him the attention he

needs.

Myself I have a great fear of contamination, thoughts of death coming

to loved ones, do not want anything(including myself) touched. Have

to have a two foot(atleast!) circle of my own space around me at all

times. Things getting moved drive me crazy. I do not take meds and

have not for fourteen years. I find I do better without them. They

helped with my headaches I was having and the depression(had just

lost my brother), but did not make me do anything different. I do

not let anyone touch the kitchen, I do not want the boys(I have 3)

using my bathroom and I do not use theirs. They do not get left

home alone, I would not be able to handle that. I did find a local

group about the same time i found egroups. But it is in the evening

and I am unable to bring myself to leave the house with everyone

still there. But egroups is great! this is helping.

Hope this is to many details....lol.....there are more.....:)

thanks.......ocdnetangel

HI ocdnetangel:

Thanks for sharing about your son and yourself. Have you considered

joining the OCD-L. That is a list for people with OCD and the people who

love them. I have learned so much from this list. OUr

list is a spin-off from that list.

Have you considered doing CBT with E & RP yourself? Although contamination

fears can be particularly sticky at times they do respond to a remarkable

degree to E & RP. My son, Steve, has contamination OCD as one of his major

flavors and has benefitted greatly. CBT could also help you deal with your

harm obsessions which are interfering with leaving your children at home

alone. I have a 13 and a 16 year old. If I did not leave them alone at

home sometimes they would complain. They often remind and I that it

is time for us to go out on a date and have some quality time together

<VBG>. That way they get more computer time!!

Good luck, take care, aloha, Kathy (H)

Greetings all,

Can anyone tell me, when sound, rife-bare plasma or other wave generating

modalities are used therapeutically, are the wave forms generally sine

waves, square waves or other? I do believe the zappers produce square

waves.

Thanks in advance for any feedback

Thanks for the welcome! When I said I had been looking around, I was

really serious! I didn't have much luck searching the archives for

stuff I needed, so I just started at Message #1 and have been working

my way through. The only " rude " posts I saw were in the very

beginning - someone has gotten this under control - it was begun

what, almost 2 years ago? I saw one message about a member opening

month-old bath salts made with oil and they smelled like dirty socks -

most of the other problems I've seen were with making soap from

scratch. And I'm not anywhere near attempting that!

Karma,

Can you eat cottage cheese? How about egg whites? Those are two great sources for protein. Tuna is a great choice, too.

Good luck!

Cottage cheese, canned tuna, protein powder mixed with oatmeal or just water.

Soy protein. Myoplex shakes, meal replacement bars. Do you eat Turkey?

FRED

Hi,

I am new to this list...............snip...........

I am also not a meat eater. I don't each chicken either, so protein sources are my biggest challenge. I do eat fish, but have only done so in the past occasionally. I sure would appreciate any suggestions on getting this meal planning under control as that is my biggest hold up. The workouts I can handle the scheduling of. I just have always been a very poor menu planner and REALLY need help with this aspect of it.

Thank you so very much in advance for any help with this.

Hi Sara,

Yes, I eat dairy, just not animal flesh unless it is seafood of some sort, but I don't eat that very often.

I wanted to say you look GREAT! I used to be a public school teacher and did my student teaching in second grade. I ended up teaching the gifted program k-12 until I had my fourth child and it was costing more for day care than I was making so became a stay at home mom. I have been home schooling mine for two years.

I sure would appreciate any help with the meal planning that you can offer. I seem to be meal planning "challenged"!

Thanks,

Thanks for the suggestions Fred. No, I don't eat Turkey. But the other suggestions I do eat. I checked the book out from the Library. I need to get back on the waiting list again to get the food suggestions and portion sizes again it looks like.

Thanks,

Karma,

Precision Protein saved me from " egg-white burnout! " I was so sick of eating egg whites after my first 12 weeks!!! I bought Precision Protein and now can drink 6 ounces of this and get 20 grams of protein. I love the convenience of it! My other two protein " staples " are cottage cheese and canned tuna. The only downside of the tuna is that my husband accidentally bought me albacore tuna one night and now that's all that I want so it's not quite so cheap anymore ( but it sure is good!).

My hat's off to you for home-schooling. I know it's a tough thing to do the right way but the benefits are tremendous!

Hi Lyn,

Welcome to the list! I think you'll like it here! I'm Terri, List Mom, but don't

call me that unless there's a problem.... I want you all to feel like this list

belong to everyone. I live in Baldwinsville (technically Syracuse according to

one son 6 years old and a wonderful hubby.

It's cool you and your sis are in business together...When I stated this

business she was going to join me, but backed out. I'm sort of glad she did...

Welcome to the list, and congrats on the birth of RiverSong, what a beautiful

Do you just sell supplies or do you raise sheep? My daughter 18/ds

New to the list - I'm a 0- non secretor. I have been on basic O type (first

book) diet for about a year and I love it. Feel great, lost 30 lbs. Just got

results of life insurance blood test. As best I understand it, the results look

great. HDL 59, LDL 122, Triglycerides 77, sugars, glucose, pulse, BP etc. all

well within rates. They gave me their lowest rate.

So I'm very pleased after a year. Have not adopted non-secretor diet yet - it's

a little harsh.

Any other non-secretors out there?

Hey B.,

I am just joining this list and just read your email.

I don't know what type of headache you have as I said

I am new to this. However, I have head an ongoing

headache since June of 2000 which I believe is part of

fibromyalgia. I have taken lots of drugs for it but

not the one you mentioned.

Can you tell me what the focus of this egroup is? Is

it to offer support to others and to swap info on what

works?

Looking forward to hearing from the egoup.

Wishes,
