Guest guest
Thanks Connie, but I will be ok by the morning I think, just feeling run over and pouting today. Guess I will try the pain clinic and see what's up there. Tomorrow I am going to check out s Hopkins online for the heck of it.. thanks again Allan. Tell ya what... this being sickly/injured is the pits! (duh... understatement you think??) If it bothers you to use the shift key, just don't use it! You can write in all lower case, don't think anyone would have a problem with that?? time to cook, oh joy , I was so sorry to hear this bad news. Crap, rassum and frassum all at once. What will you do now? If you need to talk to me I am here, but i gotta tell you the only reason im using my caps is cuz someone made me aware of it. i have a tendon missing in my right arm, so the outer bone is a floater, and it makes the muscles way sore to reach for the stupid shift key so i got lazy. Is it unbearable pain, sweetie? I hope not, pain every day no matter what can wear a spirit down, so if you wanna talk you know how to get ahold of me. Love ya,Connie Had my visit with the neurosurgeon yesterday. Very nice guy, open and honest. Got to see the films of my neck... looked like I had been sliced and diced. Saw the problems and got the word... he cannot help me. Oh well... I tried very hard to not get my hopes up but did a little anyway. He said my options are the same ole, ignore it and/or the pain clinic. Am bummed today but will get over it. To quote Yosemite Sam, and Connie... rasser frasser. Did I spell that right? Allan... just wanted to say it is good to see you back. Was waaaay too quiet from your direction. Llinda

Guest guest
Hi, Connie, Just goes to show you the kind of people CapTel employs and their minds! LOL Just kidding. Last week I used my captel and ended up hanging up while the captioner was still 5 minutes behind the conversation. It is a godsend for sone things, but like all things - it has its bad points, too. I often wonder if they employ hard of hearing people as captioners! LOL Anyway, I still like it better than VCO because I can hear the other person and get much of the conversation without the captions but can still fall back on them. Good luck. ) Jackie Implanted - right ear - Oct.2002 - Nucleus 24/3G Reimplanted - right ear - Jan.2005 - Nucleus 24C/3G Implanted - left ear - Sept.2005 - Nucleus-Freedom

Guest guest
Well I'm an adult ci user so I don't know much about what kids experience when they're activated but from what you describe it sounds like she was given four very conservative maps which I think makes sense for kids. I'll bet she was babbling because she can hear herself better than anything else & she was experimenting. When do you go back for another mapping? Have you tried a really loud noise to see if it startles her or keep opening & closing a squeaky door or something like something that would get annoying? When I was first activated some things startled me & the most annoying thing to me was the door squeaking but then I'm a late deafened adult so my experiences will be different. Hang in there some day she may really surprise you with a reaction you aren't expecting. Connie connie... thanks so much... she goes back tomorrow for her next appt/mapping... about the babbling, we thought the same as you... we've gotten behind her & banged pots/pans, yelled, etc. & 'nothing'... we'll just keep trying!! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - (click on our 'BLOG' - below) _http://fromourbunchtoyours.blogspot.com/_ (http://fromourbunchtoyours.blogspot.com/) .. . . ~ Isaiah 46:11 ~ . . . - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Guest guest
If you think she is Ms Attitude now wait till she turns 16. So glad you are seeing some differences with the new maps. If certainly is helping her to have a mother with such a positive attitude. Give yourself a pat on the back. Guest guest
Pat, Thanks for askin honey, I really dont know what my hcv status is, I've been so busy burying and adopting people and fixing walls. I had a small cancer in my pancreas but the nukings seem to be shrinking it and now im done with that too. I did turn yellow again last week specially in the eyes, but I think its just from the stress. I have another pcr monday, so soon i will know whats up. The only real health issue is my platelets. They dont seem to wanna come back on their own. So all in all I'd have to say its a good day to be alive. How bout YOU Pat, how are YOU doing? Guest guest
Hi Toots How about if I combine 2 messages in 1 than it may keep me from rambling on so much. I've been cooped up to long and to much time on my hands. It is a beautiful day here too hope you are enjoying yours. I had to pick up a rx at walgreens so I also escaped for awhile and enjoyed the afternoon. I am no hero and don't want to be thought of as 1 - I am an HCV Survivor. I want to be accepted and acknowledged for my HCV stage and grade not friends afraid for me or to discuss all things with me and no pity or feeling sorry for me. That only brings me down. I want people to wake up get their heads out of the sand and do what needs to be done for them. I'm a shaker and a stirrer hopefully before people get fried. Honey you really believe turning yellow jaundice eyes and all is from stress ???? What are your medical concerns now we can discuss support and help you with ???? You need to take good care of you to be there for Serena. Love and Hugs. Deb

Guest guest
i will Pat, i think its just all the stress, as a rule, over the past four years ive noticed a direct and inevitable coorelation between stress and yellow eyes for me, like three days following a giant blow or major loss, my eyes are always yellow like clockwork. I hope thats all it is cuz i wanna maintain energy for baby bumps and dam im so tired. just the stress and i pray your neck heals quickly and fully. love ya. connieThe light at the end of the tunnel may be you

Guest guest
Good Morning Everybody! I hope you slept well, I did!!! First time in a while...I woke up once, had a little snack and I'm still wondering if it is 7:30 AM hehehe... Deb, I'm doing fine. Since I've been off all the exrta meds I was taking and I'm down to Lactulose,Amiloride,Inderal LA, Furosimde and Zolft(y), heh.heh I'm walking KIRBY 3 X a day, I cleaned and polished the Jeep I need to sell, I'm riding my motorcycle to Wal Mart etc...AND... I can actually see my carpet! Connie, I consider myself a newbie at this, I don't know all of your particulars, but in the spirit of love and trying to help, could it be that your not expelling the poison in your body and maybe (ammonia?) or some other level is way high and the Jaundice is actually liquid that is not being flushed out? I hope it's somrthing simple. Could anyone tell me how to change my font/color/size/style so I don't have to do it each time I write? Hey, Deb, Thanks for checking in on me.
