He says his stomach hurts and sure enough he fevers that night. Lots of fluids seem to help Hayden, mostly water. He also gets horrible bowel movements. The smell is horrible so I am sure the pain has to do with that. Maybe Drew will change his patterns in the next episode. Guest guest
My daughter gets stomach pain with episodes sometimes severe sometimes mild. When it gets bad we put her in the bath or offer her the heating pad which is what she has come to prefer. the heating pad must help because she asks for it now when she has stomach pain. Tylenol also provides her some relief. I have never tried Motrin because she also has severe reflux and I don't want to risk it upsetting her stomach more. Guest guest
Kiara had severe stomach pains in what they thought was her last episode. At this point they thought maybe it was FMF and was put on cochicine. After 5 days of being sick and coming home.. I took her back in as she spiked to 106. And the tummy pain was severe. When I took her back in we were rushed into the childrens hospital. They brought in a second surgeon who sent her for a CT scan and they still couldnt see her appendix. She was diagnosed that evening with a missed perforated appendix. She had to be medicated for 21 days due to severe infection and risking perforating the bowels. When they took it out they were able to determine that it had perforated over and over again. They figure when she was 22 months with what they thought was kd that it was appendiciits. Guest guest
Hi all, from Florida here.5 years out I also for the past few years since I had my Gall bladder out have suffered the worst debilitating pain in my life. So many times as I was fumbling through the cabinets doubled over looking for another pill any pill to help me pass out, die or take the pain away wondered what the heck is going on. I unfortunately did not have insurance cause once you have gastric by-pass it's hard to get anyone to carry you. Or I would have gone to the E.R. I have been having test since my last episode where I did get taken by ambulance ti the hospital. My Blood pressure was way up and my daily norm is 90/60 for years now and it was 150/?? can't remember. They gave me fluids when I got there and upon telling them if the pain persist I would rather be dead they shot me up with the best pain med I ever experienced. Delodid or something like that. First time in years after the onset of these pains I didn't have to be in pain for 3-10 hours straight. It was great. They ran a few basic test and released me. I since have had an upper G.I -Pipada scan-CT scan and now IM going in for an endoscopey. So far all have been normal but some acid reflux. We are beating our heads on what the pain is. Im thinking the doctor thinks I just want drugs because he has mentioned pain clinic to me. Well that sound good but I feel pain is caused by something and I would like to know that cause. I cry thinking we won't find something wrong and I can't stand such bad pain. I can't work the next day or day I have the pain cause I am doubled over in these strange positions so it has not been good on my employment. Im truing to see if I can hook up with Dr. R while he's down in Orlando to see if he has any insights to the cause of this pain. I was wondering if it could be the old stomach that is cut away getting sick or dying? I mentioned that to one of the Dr. at the hospital and just listened but I don't think they understood. Anyway long story Sorry Im a skinny twig and getting thinner cause of this stuff. Don't want to loose anymore. Im in a size 2 now and would like to get back into a 6. Hope this helps. Love,, from Florida
Guest guest
, Have you been tested for the H. Pylori bacteria? It will cause you to have a tremendous amount of stomach pain that can even radiate to your back as well. If you contact Dr. R, he will call you in the meds to take. The bacteria is killed with aggressive antibiotics. The bad thing is its somewhere between $400-500 if you don't have insurance. I would really get tested though. I hope this helps. Guest guest
Hi Trisha, I assume that it's a constant battle going on with the yeast trying to survive and cheating causes it to worsen, but trying to eradicate it does too. It's like sometimes the symptoms of it dying or growing can be really similar. I reckon, depending on how deep the problem is, this could go on for weeks at a time until the battle is finally won. I could be wrong though. The stomach pain might be due to something else, but could be the yeast in the gut. I have had it when I've cheated by eating some fruit or too much grain and then later, I get gurgling in my gut and finally by the next day, the pains will increase and then I lose my appetite again and become very tired. Then, when I've toughened up again, I can have the pains continue, with no appetite, until finally things begin to reduce again and then I begin to crave like crazy, almost like starving as though the battle is again on. The pains then reduce, but then they come and go the entire time I'm craving. It's very odd. I think once you reach the point of being very hungry, that is the time the battle is really raging and to keep going and not give in, otherwise you feel you have to start over. I do not know how long that stage goes on for and assuming it might be different for each person depending on how deep seated the gut problem is. Just a thought. . > > Hi Bee - > > I have been having more stomach pain lately, although I've been having less bloating. I can't > figure out if its something I'm eating or is this healing? Do you have any thoughts or suggestions? ==>Like wrote the stomach itself has candida in it, as well as the esophagus, which can cause a lot of stomach upset and pain. Candida growth in the esophagus actually causes acid reflux because it weakens the valve that is supposed to close, but can't so it causes heart burn. When the candida is being killed off in the stomach it puts out toxins (mostly alcohol) so you get a sicker stomach, like the sick feeling a person gets after drinking alcohol. My stomach was so bad when I started on nystatin that I could only eat 9 foods in the whole world, which I figured out were the lowest in carbs & unadulterated, and I had been on the diet 6 mos. at that time. You can read about it in the files " Bee's Personal Candida Story. " ==>Stomach pains are also caused by not enough stomach acid, which is very common with candida - see the Digestion Folder on how to test stomach acid levels, and about taking digestive enzymes. It is very important for digestion to have enough stomach acid. Protein actually increases stomach acid, so red meat wouldn't be causing a problem. ==>Good fats, oils and meats or eggs are the very easiest foods for the body to digest, as opposed to any carbs of any kind (carbs are all foods that are not classified as protein or fats). If you are getting good organic or certified organic meats do not cook them thoroughly so they still contain some enzymes which help with digestion. Also taking some coconut oil, which hasn't been cooked with meats helps digestion. ==>A quick fix for stomach pain is to take baking soda in water (about 1 tsp. in 6 ounces of warm water) - sip slowly until the pain subsides. Your pancreas excretes bicarbonate of soda to alkalize the contents from the stomach - it is stimulated by the amount of acid in the chyme from the stomach. > > Thanks also for all of the info contained in the files. I am learning so much from reading everything! ==>You are so very welcome Trish. Learning is the key!! Good for you. Bee
Guest guest
Hi Trish I just wanted to add two other possibilities to the suggestions others have given you for probable causes of stomach pain, not to alarm you but to share something of my experience in case it helps. Candida has certainly been the cause of many of my health issues, most of which have disappeared, thank goodness, as I've gotten candida under control. But there are also other functional gastric disorders that I have been diagnosed with, that cause stomach and abdominal pain and nausea and bloating. One possibility is that you might be one of the people with an oversensitive gastrointestinal tract. Medical research claims that only 10% of the population have this issue, but I suspect the numbers are higher. My gastroenterologist informed me that I have this condition. It was a whole lot worse when I was first coping with my candida overgrowth. With an oversensitive GI tract you feel the normal digestive movements magnified to the point of pain. It's worrying, of course, at first. My gastroenterologist spent time with me explaining what GI pains I would feel and where that are actually normal for me, now, and what to worry about if the pains persist. Now I just accept a certain amount of twinges and abdominal pain in varying locations, usually near the stomach and bile ducts though, as part of digestion. The more difficult a food is to digest, the worse the pain; or so it feels to me. Is your abdominal pain actually centered just below the stomach, closer to your navel; quite severe at times; often spreads out to include most of the upper abdominal region; feels more like a pressure and a vibration; and persists for hours following each meal? You don't mention severe pain, so I'm guessing you don't have this. But, just in case, there is a functional disorder called Sphincter of Oddi dysfunction, where the Sphincter of Oddi, located just below the stomach, goes into spasms and stops or significantly slows down in it's job of mixing bile from the bile ducts with the chyme from the stomach and moving it into the duodenum and on it's way through the intestines. I have this too. I've learned to keep the symptoms minimal through diet (certain foods and supplements trigger the spasms), but it adds another layer of pain and nausea to normal digestion for me. As I said, I'm not trying to worry you. Just wanted to offer two additional possibilities in case you find your pains persist. It took me 6 months to find a gastroenterologist who was willing to order the tests to confirm my gastric disorders; and I feel lucky at finding someone that fast.... Kim M. usually lurking... > > Hi Bee - > > I have been having more stomach pain lately, although I've been having less bloating. I can't > figure out if its something I'm eating or is this healing? I tried the baking soda water yesterday, but I had the opposite reaction. My stomach hurt so much worse and I got nauseaus. I read some more in the files about stomach acid and saw that that lowers stomach acid. So maybe low stomach acid is my problem. After that I drank some more lemon/sea salt drink and that seemed to help. Is this strange? I can try the " official " stomach acid test tomorrow morning. Thanks so much for your help! I have experienced it to some degree. Although I have been so good with my diet and I think that is why it is discouraging. And prior to getting very strict, there were lots of things not on this candida diet that I could eat without my stomach hurting. So I am sort of hoping that as Bee said it is the yeast dying off. That would be the best thing! Thanks so much for your input. Trish > >Trish

Usually its just uncomfortable. And I can go whole weeks without it. Thus the confusion. I will definitely keep some of these other things in mind, though. Thanks so much! Guest guest
My stomach was so bad when I started on nystatin that I could only eat 9 foods in the whole world, which I figured out were the lowest in carbs & unadulterated, and I had been on the diet 6 mos. at that time. You can read about it in the files " Bee's Personal Candida Story. " > > I am curious, could you tolerate raw veggies? Or was everything cooked? ++++I could have raw tomatoes, but everything else was cooked. > > ==>Stomach pains are also caused by not enough stomach acid, which is very common with candida - see the Digestion Folder on how to test stomach acid levels, and about taking digestive enzymes. It is very important for digestion to have enough stomach acid. Protein actually increases stomach acid, so red meat wouldn't be causing a problem. <snip> > I tried the baking soda water yesterday, but I had the opposite reaction. My stomach hurt so much worse and I got nauseaus. I read some more in the files about stomach acid and saw that that lowers stomach acid. So maybe low stomach acid is my problem. After that > I drank some more lemon/sea salt drink and that seemed to help. Is this strange? I can try the " official " stomach acid test tomorrow morning. ==>Interesting. Low acid may be the problem for sure! Bee
Guest guest
Glad your feeling better!! You could also try Maalox Max liquid anti-gas, antacid. This is a great choice for newbies as well. A great Memorial day to you too! Dana -------------- Original message -------------- From: "vstarrme" <vstarrme@...> I just wanted everyone to know that the solution to my stomach pain ended up being relatively simple. I guess even when you don't drink soda, or other things that give you gas, it can still build up in your body after a period of time. My doctor advised me to take Gas X...which is something Dr. A advises, and it worked like a charm and I'm back to my normal self. I am five months out from surgery, so I was worried, because I hadn't had pain like that in my shoulder since my surgery, but it ended up being fine. I hope you all have a great Memorial Day Weekend with all your skinny selves!!!!Vesper
Guest guest
Hi Jenni, I don't know if this is any consolation to you, but I went through a healing crisis once and had continual (what seemed to be) urinary tract infections. In fact, it was so bad, it drove me crazy. I would be sitting on the toilet half the night, wanting to urinate, but hardly a thing would come out (not to mention the discomfort). I was actually going through a healing crisis, as I had been detoxing and didn't recognise this for what it was, until after and then improvement set in. I have read that it can be toxins being shunted through those areas. However, I only read that over the internet and it's an area where I could not hope to give a qualified or knowledgeable opinion, but for me? I believe it was a healing crisis at that time. I don't know about your stomach pains though and I'm sure Bee will give you a much clearer idea, but the urinary tract infection caught my attention. . > I have been having more stomach pain lately. I have been experimenting with lemon juice and HCL tablets but they don't seem to help; in fact, after the lemon juice today my stomach seemed worse. ==>Some candida sufferers cannot even have a small amount of lemon. Wait until later on to have the electrolyte drink and ensure you are taking digestive enzymes, i.e. Betaine HCl with pepsin and pancreatic enzymes. Do a site search on my for digestion - there's an entire section - where you'll find how to take digestive enzymes: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com > Could this be an ulcer? My husband wants me to go see a regular doctor to get checked out. I have had gastro-intestinal problems for 5 years, mainly bloating and gas. Since I have been on this diet, the bloating is much better but now I have this stomach pain worsening and also am having to fend off urinary tract symptoms (my back hurts some; perhaps my kidneys?) I have read the files regarding these issues, and have followed the suggestions > regarding the UTI and looked into the stomach acid issue. I wonder if my body is struggling to digest the increased protein ==>You need plenty of fats to aid digestion, and particularly to digest protein, both per the ratios I recommend, and add ocean sea salt to your foods after cooking too, which also helps digestion. Also have 1 tbl sauerkraut or kimchi with every meal to aid digestion. ==>On this diet you are killing off candida in your stomach and your symptoms will increase. Also gas and bloating are caused by killed candida which puts out carbon dioxide. It's not a bad thing but not easy to deal with. To ease stomach pain either drink ginger tea or chew on raw ginger and/or fennel seeds, or take 1 tsp of baking soda in warm water. ==>You can also have candida in your bladder. The parsley tea suggestion is the best, but sticking to the program also helps. Bee

Guest guest
Hi: Actually I wanted to make a comment regarding urinary tract issues. Some years ago I began to have problems in this area so , went to the doctor, I was put through the usual gamut of tests, scopes, antibiotics, anti-bacteriacides. urine tests, etc., ad nauseum. I kept saying, " But all the tests come back normal, there must be something else wrong', Their answer was always, " Well, we'll put you on these meds, just in case.' Anyway to make a long story short, I decided to investigate myself, and found out I was very sensitive to the Nightshade family of foods (potato, tomato, peppers, etc.), and the squash family. But here is the BIG one !!! I found out I was (and still am), very allergic/sensitive to Red Dyes! Any foodstuffs with dyes that range from pinks to browns and maroons I cannot tolerate! They are all numbered now but I very carefully scan the ingredient list. I would have all the agonising symptoms of a urinary tract infection, including severe, lower abdominal pains. Hope this helps someone. If you want to know more let me know. I find it very interesting that many women on HRT have this issue and are on a medication that contains red dye, but are being diagnosed as having interstitial cystitis despite the tests coning back negative.!!! Also, is it a > sign of die-off when you eat shrimp and spinach with butter and > coconut oil and watercrease and sea salt and about 2 hours later your > stomach hurts alot? I took the baking soda like was suggested and it > didn't seem to help. ==>Do not be too concerned about your weight, and as you progress on this program you hairloss will diminish and then stop. The flu you had was a cleansing/healing reaction. I'd suspect the shrimp because they usually contain sulphites or some other kind of perservative which isn't always noted on the label. Try Bee's Egg Drink and see if you have the same reactions, but ensure you don't add more butter and coconut oil than you can handle. Also ensure you are doing everything you can to improve your digestion - see the section " How to Improve Digestion " in my main candida article. If all else fails I suggest you do the 9-day program: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/dig6.php Bee
