Anybody do anything with pH? Beck protocol is supposed to improve the body's pH. I've been working with diet somewhat. What bothers me right now is the pH of the water I drink. I tested the tap water with a pH strip and it tested about 5.2! Thoughts????

Yes, pH is very important. If you are too acidic, you will get a bad rash on your wrist when you use the beck zapper. Are you aware that distilled what is also acidic. You can add some baking soda, lemon, or lime to your water to reduce the acid. Careful with baking soda as it has sodium and can raise blood pressure. Also, the lemon and lime seems backwards since it is acidic, but it will lower the pH of your system.

Good luck,BradOn Tue, Sep 2, 2008 at 7:11 AM, Barbara <barb@...> wrote:

The way I understand it. The silver pulser enables the blood cells to carry oxygen better. It also helps the body rid itself of fungus which creates a negative pH. So the blood stays at a more stable pH and doesn't have to rob the bones of minerals to buffer acid.kathelee <kathelee@...> wrote: i didn't know the silver pulser is good for ph? ?? the body somehow controls blood pH within very narrow range, regardless of meddling.

are you saying blood pH is raised by pulling minerals from bones?

pH doesn't go negative... 7.0 is neutral, higher is alkaline, lower acid.

The blood pH is maintained by pulling minerals from the bones. Negative was the wrong terminology. The overall pH of the body is what I am talking about. The body maintains the blood pH. If we eat acid foods, drink acid water, have critters in our bodies producing acid waste... the body has to buffer all that acid somehow. It eliminates what it can (test the pH of your urine and the pH will vary according to the amount of acidity the body is trying to eliminate)... then what to do with the excess? The big weight loss that Beck says he got when he did his protocol was not from dieting. He eliminated the critters that were producing acid waste so the body did not have to store the excess as fat. This is my understanding. The body has to get alkaline minerals from somewhere to buffer the excess acid. It is only logical that it takes it from the bones. Dr. Appleton (she has a website) wrote a book

"Healthy Bones" that tells about a dentist figuring out that loose teeth were due to unhealthy bones which are due to mineral imbalance and acidic diet. I've been trying to figure out what changed drastically when I moved from Sandusky Ohio to Columbus. My diet is about the same. The water is one major change. Water in Sandusky was alkaline. There is alot of limestone in the area and the city at that time added chlorine. It tested perfect for a swimming pool when I tested it last (was a few years ago). I used to add a tiny amount of ascorbic acid to get rid of the chlorine. (Daughter was allergic to chlorine). Columbus water tests acidic at home and at work. 5.0 to 5.2 I've been living here for 1 year, 8 months. I have drops to add to water to make it alkaline water. Directions say to add no more than 2 drops to 8 ounces of water. I had to add 8 drops to 1/4 cup of water before it got to 7.0! So much

for using the drops to make the water alkaline.... And bottled water is often acidic, too! I tested one bottle here at work and it was only slightly less acidic than the tap water. 5.2bob Larson <bobList@...> wrote: the body somehow controls blood pH within very narrow range, regardless of meddling. are you saying blood pH is raised by pulling minerals from

This level of pH is not uncommon.

I sometimes use an electrolyzer that I bought on ebay to make high pH

water, then I mix it with my tap water to get to 7. This is a

pain... you could just figure out how much sodium bicarbonate to add

to get there in, say, a gallon jug. My pH varies a bit seasonally and

I have to check it on occasion.

Hi Barbara,

I was just wondering if the ozone water is more alkaline? I would

guess if the critters cause the acid waste and the ozone kills them

then would not it be safe to say that the water would be more alkaline?

Just a thought.

I live in New Zealand and the water is so good here that some of my

symptoms cleared when I got here within three days. The little town I

am in is 15 minute drive from the town that boasts the best water in

the world. Pretty lucky yes.

Hi K, , & Barbara:

Alkaline water is generally associated with good health and acid water

is a stride in the opposite direction. While drinking mildly high pH

water is better than mildly acid water, that alone is not likely going

to turn things around for you very much. There are other "hidden

properties" to water that are much more important... things that are

not so easily measured. Oxygen Reduction Potential (ORP) (also known

as Redox) would be one of them. More importantly, dissolved

nanoparticles of certain minerals can alter the entire structure of

water in ways that only a few scientists understand. High mountain

streams can carry these properties in spades, but not

necessarily all do. Dr. Flanagan speaks of this on his

website.

Dr. Masaru Emoto dedicated his later years to studying this amazing

factor and wrote the book, "The Hidden Properties of Water" as a

result. Those of us who have played with the Joe Cell energy device

have come to recognize that water is not just H2O. It has truly

magical properties that mainstream science can never address. Water, as

Emoto says, is best when it is free flowing and unencumbered.

Enclosing water in pipes and pressurizing it removes some of its

healthful properties. Treatment systems and fluoride take even more

away from its life giving properties.

If your water is as good as you suggest, you are indeed fortunate,

because water can certainly have huge affects on your health. I have

excellent well water, but in addition, I have taken MegaHydrate

(Flanagan's invention) along with it for the past ten years. One pill

mixed into a glass of good water will lower its ORP by -800 mv (making

it a powerful antioxidant) and it will do wonders toward balancing your

pH for optimum health. I also put a pill of the powder in my Golden

Retriever, Axel's, water each day. He is now 15 years and counting...

we are both benefiting immensely.

Kind Regards, Jim

I am new to the forum as far as posting. However, I have been reading for about

4-5 weeks. I came upon this group as I was researching alternative medication

for colon cancer.

Some backgrouund and then some questions:

My husband went in for a routine checkup (after 8 years) and had a colonscopy. A

tumor was found. Since he has had surgery to remove the right colon--lab report

confirmed stage 3 because 1 of 20 lyphmnodes were lowly differeintiated. Of

course, we went went conventional first,BUT after one round of oxiplatin

infusion and 2300 mg of oral xeloda (5FU and lecovorin) my husband awoke the

next morning feeling as if he were having a heart attack or maybe a blood clot

had passed--enough pain that I called 911 and we spent 2 days in the ER with no

outcome except " shortness of breath " . Then, our research began. This is his

regimen--new lifestyle--vegan diet (80-85% raw vegetables 20-15% cooked

vegetables), juicing 50% carrot, 50% green to include broccoli, kale, spinach,

celery, cucumber, watercress, collards, any green, nutritional supplements to

include Barley Power, probotics, bio cumurin, a fiber cleanse, beta 1 glucan (to

boost immune system), heart plus and

green tea extract, flaxseed oil 6 TBSP (all from bill henderson book Cancer

Free), antidoxiant capsules(Mega H). He has never felt better in his life. He

has since had no need to take blood pressure meds or meds for acid because these

are all gone.

Anyone have any other natural rememdies for colon cancer?

Each morning and throughout day he tests his body ph--in the morning it is

usually acidic (most according to research i have done are alkalaine) and then

throughout day becomes alkaline--anyone seen this? know why? ideas?

thanks,

dallen

My husband uses the ph strips and tests his urine--It is between 5 and 5.5 in

the morning, but reaches optimal range during and throughout the day. what is

your thinking?

Delena,

The reading of the pH of the urine is more complicated than it seems. The

urine reflects the condition of what you ate in the recent past and assuming

that there are not other distracting factors it is a good indicator of the

pH of the extra-celular fluid and indirectly that of the blood and its

capacity to cede oxygen to the cells. A pH of 5.5 is normal if you had meats

and eggs the night before..

However the presence of cancerous activity will bring the pH down.

I am not an expert in cancer treatment other than to tell you that the pH

will change with time as he recovers. Have you heard of the Gerson protocol?

It is one of the oldest and most referenced treatments and many people swear

by it.

There are lots of politics in the cancer world and I find the research by

Ralph Moss, PhD to be the most comprehensive and unbiased.

His approach is simple He investigates the outcomes of all the therapies

(natural and medical) and tells it like it is.

Keep in touch

PS I hope you are using organic veggies.

First I think Loni would need to establish that her pH *is* acidic...

Loni, do you have pH paper? Can you check and see what the

pH of your saliva is? I think you're supposed to check this

first thing in the morning, when you haven't eaten or drank

anything for awhile.

I have checked it before and wasn't an issue really.  After your commentary on

PH Marc it just seems like it would be dangerous to mess with your PH with

Baking Soda unless you really know what you are doing and know what your PH is?

That's all.

I eat a healthy diet for the most part but do consume meats. I think it might be

a good idea to stick with diet to ensure proper ph rather than baking soda. Like

you said the digestive track should be acidic.
