Congratulations on your weight loss Jon! You are a wonderful encouragement.

I can't wait to just not need an extension for the seat belt. Keep us

informed on your success.

Dear Gang:

I had my surgery one week ago today and, having returned from Durham last night,

stepped on my accurate scale this morning: (drum roll please!) 13 pounds gone!

Still no pain, no nausea, no nuttin except feeling great and full of energy!

Here's the astonishing part: last night, flying back to Bama from NC, I HAD TO

TIGHTEN THE SEAT BELT!!! I'll say it again for those of you who in shock: I HAD

TO TIGHTEN THE SEAT BELT!!!

I feel so skinny! (Well, maybe for a walrus, but soon ...!!!)

Best to all,

Jon (back) in Tuscaloosa

Jon,

Good news!! I'm flying in about one month, and I want to be able to just fit in

the darn seat belt.. tightening it would be fantastic!!

Glad you're home safe and sound, and doing really fine.

Thanks !

Sorry to hear you're having such difficulties, but know that we're all pulling

for you! (I tried to send you a note privately but it got, uh, rejected.

Flirted too much, did I?)

All the best, and look forward to meeting you at the Xmas party!
