Guest guest Report post Posted January 24, 2003 When I had Weatherbug their location was about 1/2 mile from me. Then, suddenly, I noticed it was picking up from about 10 miles from me and the temps were not accurate -- so, at that time, I switched over to the Weather Channel download -- which seems to hit it more accurate (at least for me). You can drag it to the side or to the top. I drag mine to the top (and also scoot various icons around on the desktop) so that I don't have to switch gears when I switch from Mac to PC. Guest guest Report post Posted January 27, 2003 Hi Robyn, I don't have the paid version - yet, but I've thought about it. Does having the paid version really keep those pop-ups at bay? Guest guest Report post Posted February 16, 2003 Oh the weather outside is frightful But the fire is so delightful And since we've no place to go. LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW! Guess we can't do anything about it. We're supposed to get two feet. Thank goodness I don't have to commute anywhere! The company my husband works for already shut down until tomorrow night. My daughter will miss school again Monday, so because of the teacher's strike in December, she'll be going to school until June 19! Hope everyone is safe and warm! Guest guest Report post Posted February 16, 2003 OH Pattie, 2 feet of snow that is awful. We have had a horrible ice storm. It has rained ice, since last night and we are suppose to get 3 inches of snow tonight. This is when I really appreciate working at home. Guest guest Report post Posted February 16, 2003 ME TOO. However, I would hate the ice more. We are in a state of Emergency which means only necessary or emergency driving allowed. Anyone on the road will be 1) arrested and car towed or 2) ticketed and car towed. The ice storm is to arrive tomorrow. Flooding along the shore line is also anticipated. Everything is shut down. Guest guest Report post Posted February 16, 2003 Oh remember my trying to decide if I should go to NY. Well, it would have been a real disaster if I did. All buses out of NY are stopped. Guest guest Report post Posted February 16, 2003 And I'll bet you would have had trouble getting a hotel. Here in Raleigh the ice has started coming down this afternoon, just freezing rain prior to that. All trains have been stopped and they were showing people getting off the train with their blankets and pillows, saying they would have to stay in Raleigh. I sure hope they are able to get into hotels or something, that train station is very small with nothing but hard benches. Sure glad you stayed home. Hope everyone stays safe.
