Everything will be okay. I recommend a hpt. Try and see what it says. The

doctor is probably just being cautious and everything is normal. It can take

a while before getting your period after an ep. Everything is fine, just

relax. Go take a bath. You are probably hurting because you are fixing to

start your period. good luck. keep us posted

Margie and all those interested in surrogacy,

I was just thinking after I read your email about MAYBE a subgroup (like our

ProfASHelp group) for interested persons in surrogacy. Through this group,

any interested persons wanting to help an Ashermans patient can join and

have contact with members in this subgroup and hopefully can arrange

surrogacy with these women. Of course, this is not as easy as it sounds but

at least it is a first step to find a surrogate. What do you all think

about this idea??

Personally I am not at that stage of looking at surrogacy, but I thin it is an excellent idea. I have found myself wanting info. on surrogacy just to see what it entails. On a personal note, do you happen to have an idea of how old the youngest member is on this group and how old is the oldest? just trying to do some figuring as far as I am concerned.

thanks,

Hello All

Poly recently sent this post below but I am not sure if any of us

shared our thoughts, I did not.

When I read the post I thought it was a great idea but did not want

to think about it because I am still hoping to have a successful

surgery with Dr. Palter soon.

But given the recent interest from some of us about surrogacy maybe

we should look into Poly's idea.

Ladies what do you all think?

Hi my name is and I am also exploring my options with surrogacy and adoption and would love some info from people who are willing to share. Surrogacy is such a great idea and a dream of mine but I do not think it is a reality due to finances. I wish the doctor who did this to me could pay for my surrogate. If a lawyer thought I had a case and I could sue I would sue for just enough money to be sent to an a list dr. and enough money for a baby. I don't know if I am the youngest but I am 25 years old currently and was 23 when I had my d and c. I would be interested in ages as well.

thanks tiff

Our ages range from 22 to about 46. Please see the spreadsheet for more info. As for surrogacy, there is a good chance your doctor would pay if you settled out of court. This info is as per my surrogacy attorney who has a husband that is a doctor!

Also, please look. I think there may be a minimum age requiremnet for surrogacy in some agencies. I think my lawyer said 27 or 29.

Hopes this helps!

Audrey,

Thanks for your thoughts on the new sub group for surrogacy. I would love to collect some thoughts about how to advertise this new site. Is there some way to add the link to surrogate boards?? Any other thoughts about how to do this is appreciated. I can then begin the new group.

Heidi,

If you check the profile list on the AShermans site, you will see the ages of the women in the group.

a,

Here is the link to the A list of doctors: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Ashermans/database

Click on this and then click where it says A list. I'm not sure we have any Canadian specialists but I'm sure that the Canadian members will email you with whom they are/have seen.

Your lining of 8 or 9mm is very good. Are you sure your inability to get pregnant is not another fertility issue??

Hi Everyone,My RE is recommending a hysteroscopy to remove some mild scarring which appeared after needing TWO d & c's. I had no period for 7 months. I finally got one, after having an HSG. The dr. was able to poke a hole through the scarring which allowed a period to take place a couple of weeks later. I was then sent for an ultrasound which showed that my lining is only at 5mm. My RE is now suggesting that I have a hysteroscopy to remove the scarring. He's also suggesting a gentle scraping of the lining to help start the rebuilding process. Does this sound normal? I am concerned about the scraping of the lining. Isn't this why I am here in the first place? I'm wondering if my lining will eventually improve and get thicker as I have additional periods. I don't want to have the surgery if it's not needed. Silvana

Dear ,

I'm so sorry to hear what a tough you have had with the illness of your daughter, Charlotte. It must have been so worrying for you and I'm very glad she is making a good recovery. I met someone yesterday whose 4 month old has also just had slapped face - she says they call this fifth disease in the U.S.A. Perhaps one of our friends from across the pond may be able to confirm this for me?!!

Anyway I send all my best wishes to your family at what must have been a very scary time,

Take care,

What a scary thing and I hope that Charlotte is doing better. My

nephew had " fifth disease " and he looked like that - red rashy

cheeks. I imagine that it is the same thing. My daughter had " foot

and mouth " -- high, high fever and blisters in her mouth and throat --

she was miserable, though not throwing up cause I imagine that that

would be even worse. Anyway, hope you are all better. I can only

imagine the worry.

I can only imagine what a scare you had. Poor thing. I'm glad everything is better now. It does help put things in perspective though doesn't it? I've never heard of slapped face but it sounds scary by the name. Hope it isn't anything serious. Did you say she has foot and mouth disease too or did I misunderstood.

Take care and give Charlotte a lovely big hug and kiss from her aunty Poly.

Love

Poly
