HI ,

I used Silvadene and Saran Wrap. I know it sounds funny, Silvadene is usually

used for burn victims but does decrease healing time. If you cover the area

with Saran Wrap (and it must be Saran Wrap brand) it keeps air from touching the

spot and helps the area to heal in 1/3 the time.

Welcome to the group. I am sorry that you had reason to find us, but I hope

that you will find the support I have found here. I don't think it matters

what age something so terrible as an ep happens, it can only be very

difficult. My ep was in October 2000, and I am still dealing with it.

Someone may already have answered, but I was very concerned about my scars,

too. My ep was in October, and the scars still remain and are still red,

especially the one in the pubic hair line because that one was so big. I

have heard that it really honestly fade, and it seems to be fading a little

already. Hope someone else has some good tips, too, and I might try them

along with you.

after my ep, I was told to expect my period anywhere from 4-6 weeks,

possibly even 8... but I would call my dr tomorrow to make sure everything

is the way it's suppposed to be...

I know we haven't 'met' - I'm Terri - tx. w/methotrexate on 2/21 for

EP. Try not to be too upset until you are sure there is something to worry

about....you don't have the pregnancy test results yet. (Easier said than done,

I'm sure.) Can you take a hpt? Maybe that will set your mind at ease somewhat.

As everyone has said, it can take awhile to get your period after surgery, and

pain is common too. Your doctor is probably just trying to be cautious and

cover his/her bases. I hope today goes by quickly for you and your results are

negative!!!

not pregnant or that it is not another ep. Even if it turns out that it is

(hoping not!), it is not definite that you would lose the other tube because

it may still be early enough that something else could be done. It has to

be so scary, though, I know. Please hang in there and think as positive as

you can and let us know as soon as you find out anything.

Everything will be okay. I recommend a hpt. Try and see what it says. The
