Sue,

What type of SJW do you take? Pill or liquid? and how much? I took a

perlcap for 2 months, two times a day, when I stopped taking Prozac to see

how the SJW would work for me. It didn't do a thing. After the Prozac was

out of my system and I was taking the SJW, I started depressing again big

time.

I would second that. I just started the L-glutamine 1000mg at lunch and

dinner and it does work! I am a sugar addict, _Love_sweets! and this really

works for me. The jello I made satisfied me.

Deb, you can do it... I have been on Atkins for 1 month tomorrow, and I

originally lost 20 lbs, I just gained 2, but I am not too upset about that

(water fluctuation). Just try to enjoy yourself and know that the reason

you are doing this is so that you can be a better person.... I have learned

to like myself a whole lot more.

Liz, also, keep in mind that anti-depressants can keep you from losing

weight. You may want to talk to your physician and see if maybe some of

the herbal remedies could help.

Hi Helen,

I'm only on day 5 and I don't have a scale that I can use, so I have no idea

whether I have lost or not. I have so much weight to loose however, that it

won't show for ages! I also have Fibromyalgia, so I am doing this woe to feel

better too. This morning I got up and was not in as much pain as I usually am.

I could get to the bathroom without help!

Oh!! Welcome! :c)

Hi Kathy,

As I noted, I use it for lots of things. I use it for a sauce for asparagus

and other cooked veggies such as spinach; in salads, and for dips (with

veggies, sort of like Uncle Dans dip which is what gave me the idea of making

my own...much cheaper.) When I have tomatoes, I'll cut them up and add the

mayo sauce. And I've used it as a base for coleslaw dressing (just added some

Splenda) and added fresh dill for a tarter sauce for fish.

HTH,

I use a lot of this so I usually make up a double batch (2 cups mayo and 2

cups sour cream) so I don't have to make it up so often.

Dear Sue: I have been using Dr. A's diet since 1972 and it has always worked

like a charm. For the last 5 years I have listened to the people around me,

telling me that the only way to really lose weight in a healthy way is LOW

FAT. I know better, but because I was isolated from other's who knew " the

way " I just basically experienced 5 years of weight gain, self-anger and

failure. And it was only today that I found all the Atkins support on the

computer!! (I am new to computers). Now I am so motivated and ready to roll

up my sleeves and take off this 62 pounds I put on. I am about 5'8 " and I tip

the scales right now at 212. I want to get down to 150. I started today!!! I

even went for an hour's walk, which I had given up (another thing I know

better about) because I was so depressed. I am so glad to have found you

all!! Lynda Hilburn-Holland, Boulder, Colorado LHHolland1@...

Hi,

My name is Tammy. I will be restarting this program on Monday. I used it a

year or two ago for a little while, but was unsuccessful. I need to loose 85

pounds and am hoping that with the support of a group, I will be able to do

it.

I will be nice to have people to talk to who understand my problems with

weight. My husband is wonderful but has never been more than 5 lbs

overweight in his life and he just does not understand how difficult it is.

Be talking to you guys soon.
