would like and I'll send them to you If you have a ice cream maker

I have one for that too. I started 10 weeks ago at 310 and I want to

get to a size 18 or 180 by next May. Good luck with your loss I

have loss35 lbs in that 10 weeks not great but I had medication for

a month that I now dont have to take that was stopping the weight

loss. :)Sue

My name is . I started Atkins (sort of a combo of Atkins and Protein

Power, actually) this past January. I quickly lost 40 pounds by May, then I

went off the diet, and haven't gotten back on until now. The wonderful thing

is, i haven't gained back a pound, and I think that has *something* to do

with being on a low-carb diet. Maybe the fact that I wasn't depriving myself

ON the diet kept me from bingeing when I went OFF the diet.

Anyway, it's time to get serious again, and I need support and recipes *g*.

This looks like the right place. I can't wait to check out the cookbook!

Hi Sue,

I started on the Atkins Diet the last part of May and

did pretty good on it for about 4 wks. I lost 9lbs

during that time. Then I got off it, probably bc I

was bored with it! And I need help staying motivated.

I'm interested in the recipes you mentioned but not

sure where to find them. Could you help me out with

that? I want to get back on track with the diet and

would appreciate ya'll's support! Thanks, for

responding to me.

Hi Everyone,

My name is Janet, I'm new to this list. I just had a gastric bypass on the

12th of July and have to find a way to eat up to 120 grams of protein a day

with as little carbos as possible. I have about 150 pounds to lose. I am a

single mom of my perfect, beautiful 10 year old daughter and have a boyfriend

for the past 2 years. I'd love to find some very high protein/very low

calerie recipes!!

Thanks!

Janet

Hello List,

Thank you Sue for the welcome. Info about myself.....I am female, 58 yrs

old., I have two adult daughters, and two wonderful grandsons. I work in a

high stress job, as a Human Resources recruiter.

I have 100 lbs to lose. Every diet I have tried so far has failed. Either I

couldn't stay on it, or I stayed on it and only lost a minimal amount of

weight then plateaued and couldn't get out of the plateau. Then I would gain

what I lost and more! I have tried all the new drugs that have been

approved, none of them worked for me. My exercising must be kept to a

minimum because of arthritis, especially the back and knees. In fact, it is

the need for knee replacement surgery that caused my dr. to say he wants me

to have the Obesity Surgery since diets/drugs are not working. I'm trying

the Atkins diet as one last try. I don't want the surgery, it terrifies

me...... " slice and dice " is not for me! LOL

I started the Atkins plan yesterday. The only mistake I made, I have

discovered, is that I used bottled dressing on my salad and I understand I

shouldn't have because it probably has sugar in it.

I joined this list because I need all the help I can get! I look forward to

hearing others' experience with the diet and any helpful hints.

Thank you,

Kathy

Kathy bottle salad dressings are fine like itialin and ranch check

the carb count on the bottle you used I use hiddn vally ranch and

wishbone and kens

for marinating you just have to check the carbs pretty much they will

be ok unless it is french and red salad dressings. Sue:)
