In November, I ended up getting pregnant (as a result of the diet), so I had to stop the diet. I started up immediately after my son was born and was able to lose my pregnancy weight plus 30 pounds in 3 months. Unfortunately, I decided to go off the diet and didn't start up again until the second week of May. I have been on the diet for 3 weeks so far and have lost 14 pounds. I would like to lose at least another 20 or 30 pounds in the next seven weeks as my husband's reunion is at the end of July. I don't know if it's possible, but I would certainly like to try. My husband loses much faster than I and has already lost 35 pounds. We're trying to stay on the diet until we leave for the reunion, but we ended up cheating today for one hour in an effort to jump-start our weight loss after a 5-day plateau. It's worked in the past. This time is for good! After the reunion, we're getting back on until the weight is completely gone. I have about 80 pounds left to my goal and my husband has about 76. Guest guest Posted June 15, 1999 Report Share Posted June 15, 1999 Hi......I weighed 286 in November of 98.....I started the Atkins right around Thanksgiving and had lost 50 lbs by The middle of January and was never hungry..Of course I gave up all the food that made me so heavy but now am down to 222...I have been " cheating a little and that is very bad for me...I almost have tombe on the induction diet in order to keep losing weight..I would like to get to the weight of 130..A good weight for me....So I have alot to go... Guest guest Posted June 19, 1999 Report Share Posted June 19, 1999 Hi Terri.......Your in the best place to be, this is a wonderful site....I'm also overweight, alot...Took me 25 years to get this way..This diet will work for you...You will never feel hungry...and the emotional feeling just can't be beat.....After just 2 days of hardly any carbos and sugar you will feel so wonderful you will never want to willingly go back to the way you ate..It's just those first 2 days you need to get thru...Take them 1 hour at a time, give yourself that.....Half that time your sleeping anyway!...You must, I can't stress that enough, you MUST read the back of EVERY thing you eat...carbos are in so many things, things you'd never think of...Good luck and keep us posted...Someone loving and is always here for you...Judi Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
