Guest guest Report post Posted May 1, 2004 I'm not sure....the ones I have heard about have started before age five, but it's never to late to get improvements, no matter when you start. Guest guest Report post Posted May 2, 2004 Thank You very much for that. I've come to look forward to the info. this group provides. It makes me feel better that your child is accepted, I've watched ph be rejected so many times, it's a physical ache when it happens. The methylation issue is intriguing, and something I found really interesting in my research into ph's issues. Thank you for giving my look into this some direction. Guest guest Report post Posted May 2, 2004 Thank you. Yup, too much intervention and speculation. There have been some really good tips from this group and for that I am grateful. Nope, no more ultrasounds. At least not until 20 weeks. I've decided that'll be the last one. They'll be able to see if the spinal cord is sealed up just right or not, and if not they can do surgery while the baby is still in my uterus. Blood work ups I'll allow, only to be sure I'm in the healthy state I need to be in to deliver. Later on, you might use a mild, castile-type of soap, preferrably unscented. However, I admit to using a tiny bit of lavender in what I made. :-) I wouldn't use m & p or fo's, myself. I'll have to dig out my Butt Balm and Belly Balm recipes. Beth

I'm sure that everyone doesn't want to hear about baby stuff on the list! hehe Are M & P soaps OK to use on little ones? Maybe if they are just scented VERY lightly and with hardly any color? Hi , It's not the size of the scoby that determines whether you have a good starter for your next batch, but the acidity of your brew. The more acidic the KT is you add, the better the next brew. Also, the acidity protects against mold. So, I suggest, when your brew has a good acidity, is still palatable, bottle it and leave a generous amount for your next batch. Any bits of scoby old or new will be fine to go into your new brew plus a generous amount of liquid. Both constitute the Kombucha culture, as BOTH contain the microflora of bacteria and yeasts. So, forget about scoby size. Any old bit will do! ;-) http://www.therpc.f9.co.uk/family/scobygrow/home.html kombuchaly, Margret P.S. > The Scoby looks to have an air bubble trapped in it, is that ok?
