I@m afraid that living in Europe I don't get farenheit at all.

If you really want a translation - i'm sure there are online translators, but

suffice to say, lo room temperature and a handful of degrees above freezing.

Hi Sunny,

just Google it. Google none of us can be expected to know everything.

Here in the UK we have to understand both imperial and metric these

days but Google quickly translates it for you. You don't even need to

go to a web page. Metric is the way forward so it's good to get used

to it. The old English system that you guys still use is crazy. You

should have chucked it in to Boston harbour along with the tea. lol.

Ooh mead vinegar is my favourite. I buy mead only to make vinegar

from.

Yeah people have been making vinegar in Europe for centuries, I can

imagine them making it at 30C back in the middle ages. Funny how

some people use Google as a weapon these days, it used to be the

bible was the preferred nunchuck. There's a great expression that

goes something like 'don't confuse the moon-pointing-finger for the

moon' which means it's all to easy to get caught up in what it says

in the book without ever having practical, internal, working

knowledge. The former is merely an aid to lead you to the later.

Thanks Caitilin,

Jim

You are so right, my hubby says the same thing. He says it is crazy

that USA holds on to it. But he is a computer programmer and thinks in

numbers. Yes, your way makes more sense for measuring. I will make an

effort. Many thanks to everyone. :) Sunny

Ooh mead vinegar is my favourite. I buy mead only to make vinegar

Nay Jimlad, waste of good mead.

Along the lines of

" There's a great expression that goes something like 'don't confuse the

moon-pointing-finger for the moon' which means it's all to easy to get caught up

in what it says in the book without ever having practical, internal, working

knowledge. "

There's an ancient Cumbrian expression, which I shall attempt to Anglicise.

" Thoo'll look at the moon 'till thoo falls in the midden. "

A translation <may> not be necessary.

Nn. England.
