Angie,

Welcome to the group! Congratulations on the inches lost....that's

awesome! That's great that you are not relying on the scale to let you

know that you are making progress....there are so many other ways to

see how much you are progressing! I'm glad you've joined us...this is

such a great place for support and motivation!

Janet, it sounds like you are doing great with taebo. Six pounds in 2

months is a very healthy wait loss. Did you say that your computer or

TV screen " blew up " ? Do you mean that it is exploded? Just curious.

Janet,

I love that idea...having different colored stickers for the different

workouts and being able to look at something and see how much you have

done even when the scale doesn't do what it's supposed to! You have a

great attitude! You are doing so well! Keep it up :)

LoL

Maybe a " Slight " exageration there! :)

I mean My Computer Monitor/Screen has died--started smoking at the

I figured if we left it long enough it probably WOULD Explode-as the

smell was so bad!

so! untill the Cheque(check) from the Insurance Company gets here-I

Dearest Jana,

What am I to do with you???? You are certainly having one of *those* lives!

I am so sorry that had another attack - he has ODD? yes? Before you joined our dearest 's son went through something very similar. You did the right thing for everyone. At least you can rest and he can get some help. Especially if you are in a flare just now. Seems to be the time of year for it - I'm in one too and sounds like most people are.... blame it on the moon!

How is your leg today? Have you seen a doctor and how did that go?

Ohhh a new car - how exciting :) With a TV! LOL....

Trying to decide if I should go to Chicago for Kathy's Junior recital this Saturday - what does anyone think?

I think you should wait and see how you are feeling before deciding upon anything.

Hope this finds you a little better then yesterday.

Love Aisha.

Hey ,

I think my immunologist would "not be able to comment with enthusiasm" at your guy being the top one! LOL.... (Anyhow I am biased as I think my immunologist is the best! *smile* Well he did save my life!)

Glad he is helping you - any indications of what he has found???

Hahahahahahaha....

My immunologist isnt exactly short or thin either! LOL....And he seems to have a thing for needles so God only knows what he would do to your immunologist!

So Nerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

You sound like you have sarcoidosis... biopsies are the most accurate way to diagnose it and it is caused by... and over active immune syndrome. It is also similar to sjogrens syndrome.

"So he will discuss this with my GP so I don't have to go to you smelly old city for it!! *wink*"

Hahahahaha.... lest I dont live with Polly's! But we do have the tacky olympics... ewwwwwwww

"All the other test came back within the normal range "

Now that is strange... wouldn't have put you in a normal category! *raspberry blow* hehehehehe

Keep in touch with those results sweetie!

Love A.

Hello

How ya doing? I went to Canberra a few years ago and the main thing I

remember was driving around in circles trying to find a pay phone and then

finding about 6 in one place!!!!!!!!!!

Glad you found a good immuno, sounds like you have had such great fun trying

to find an answer!!! The neuro was a very small woman who made up for it by

wearing this jacket with the hugest shoulder pads, I don't know how she

fitted thru the door. She was testing hubby's reflexes and couldn't fit the

gadget she was using between the wall and hubbies feet so used a pair of

scissors, Rich was really impressed with that!! I don't think she thought if

he moved further up the bed she would've had loads of room, ah well!!!

I like the theory on feeling better if you had spent that specialist fee on

new clothes LOL!!!!!

As for sex curing all your probs, It is a nice way to spend your time but

can't say it cures mouth dryness!! What a wacko!!!

Take care

Hi Nerys

Glad you have a good GP, so do I finally.

Sydney is a long way from here, I under-estimated how long it would take (if

you are reading this Aisha, you were right! LOL) it is obvious I don't get

down there very often, I thought 2 1/2 or 3 hours at the most but it took 4

hours to the Randwick hospital where my Immunologist is. I havent been in

Canberra for long, so wasn't sure about distance.

I laughed about your specialist saying " oh it is quite disabling then " well

if it wasn't you wouldn't be there to begin with, would you!

You asked about my symptoms, well like you guys I am hunting for a full

diagnosis, have been ill for 16 yrs and have finally found the king of all

Dr's. Professor Dwyer, the king of Immunology (in Australia anyway)

I was speaking to him today, had to give him some test results I had to have

done here in Canberra, and when we covered that, he said " don't worry we

WILL get there, we are on the way! " Now how many Dr's actually seek to

reassure you like that? In my experience not many.

He is really on the ball, and I actually feel privileged to be seeing him!!!

(and that is the first time I have been able to say that about any

Specialist, most of them waste huge amounts of your time and money, to tell

you nothing! What is worse, after you walk out of their surgery, you are

fully aware that you have just been told nothing, and you would've been

better buying some new clothes!

I have been living with this for so long and have been told that I had

everything from:

- bedbugs (this in reference to a lupus like skin flare I had, after sun

exposure, with welts and blistering)

- Scabies (the next Dr I saw for the same rash)

- ringworm (again, different Dr same rash)

- not enough sex (this I was told by a GP when I told him of my mouth

dryness and feeling of throat restriction which was a symptom of my

undiagnosed sjogrens, how fruedian!!! That Dr mustve been a sicko, he told

me I needed sex as my symptoms were hysterical!)

- phantom pregnancy (this in response to my polycystic ovarys, which were

undiagnosed and painful)

- anorexia (in respose to my inability to eat, due to sjrogrens flare)

- glandular fever (again a sjogrens flare)

LOL the list goes on and on and on, this is just a sample of the ones that

spring to mind. The things I have been accused of! To think, I actually paid

for all those opinions, the amount of hours I have wasted in Drs surgerys

probably has taken yrs off my life!

Hope you find a great specialist soon!!!

Let us know what the test results are.

love :-)
