HI Robin

Home made soap has lye in it which turns to soap when a specific process is used

combining it with oils.  Commercial soap is made with other chemicals.  The soap

process using lye is very specific and exact measurements are a must.  There are

many good books including mine that you could read in order to make soap at

home. And you will need a lye calculator as well.

I will take 20 lbs also. Will it come in 1 or 2 lb containers?

Re: Lye

Last time I bought it, I got 50-ish lbs., but I'd get 20# or so. Don't want

to bother with just a few lbs. though.
