Guest guest
I am sorry - the way my yahpoo has been backloading lately... anyway, did you get an answer to your question??? Super fine, cosmetic grade glitters are made to add to lotions, liquid soap etc. so check with your regular supplier and see if they carry it. if not i am sure you can google super fine glitter cosmetic grade glitter... you get the picture... ;o) and then can find a supplier nearest you! the nice thing, it doesn't way much so shipping is minimal! I've heard different stories about what's happened to Bill, but I don't anticipate seeing him around. Do you have a Lowe's or a hardware store nearby? You can order it online, too. If you'd like, I think I can send you 2 lbs. USPS without incurring any difficulties or hazmat fees. Email me if you can't find it, and I'll check into it. Guest guest
, I would not count on Saratoga Scents to open up anytime soon. You may be better ordering from a local chemical company, or there are a few sites online that will ship I believe under 2 pounds if thats all you need. I have heard that you can find lye at lowes however under the Robeic brand I think. Congratulations on your two boys and welcome to the list! Shaye Intro and question Hi, I'm and I make soap as a hobby. I haven't made soap in close to 3 years and I would like to begin(I've been busy making babies-2 boys) My biggest problem is finding lye. Guest guest
Hi ! Welcome to the group. I've had great service from Salt City Soap Works. The owner is a member here AND donated a door prize to our gathering this year. I had to file a hazmat form, but now that it's on file she ships super quickly. Her price is good but mention that you are a member here and ask if there is a discount code.... you never know! Guest guest
Read my evolution of PA and take to your Dr. Recall that coreg and verap don't work very well in PA. You are on a very low dose of spiro so that would be my first step to get better BP control and perhaps get you off other meds. Are you DASHing as well to get no only the low sodium but also the high K in your diet. I would have your MD do a 24 hr urine for Na and K to see where you are. Have you ever had a low K? Awakening at night? Is your CPAP working OK? Clarence E. Guest guest
Thank you for your response. I'll try to answer your questions as best I can: I have had low K, but had it tested last week and it's normal. I make sure I get plenty of K in my diet, as well as low sodium, yes. The dr. has done a 24 hour urine, but not for a while. I can ask him to do another 24 hour urine. He's doing an echocardiogram next week, as it's been several years since I had one. The reason for the low dose of spiro is because my creatinine went up above normal when I took a higher dose, but he's going to try to raise it again and check what happens this time. It seems that my CPAP is working, but I'm definitely more agitated, more anxious than usual for no apparent reason. That seems to be why, when I awaken in the middle of the night, I have trouble slipping easily back to sleep. Thank you again, Jane On Feb 26, 2008, at 1:35 AM, lowerbp2 wrote: > Read my evolution of PA and take to your Dr. Recall that coreg and > verap don't work very well in PA. > > You are on a very low dose of spiro so that would be my first step > to get better BP control and perhaps get you off other meds. > > Are you DASHing as well to get no only the low sodium but also the > high K in your diet. Guest guest
Hi Miriam, I would say that not every mother would pass on the protein into her breast milk but only those mothers who did not completely digest the nuts. Nuts are hard to digest for most people, hence the allergies, but soaked nuts are a different story. You probably read a study where the protein was passed into the breast milk amongst all the mothers so the researchers jumped to confusion as they always do. Same with goats. An unhealthy goat with poor digestion would pass all manner of undigested proteins into the milk. But healthy animals...I doubt it. That said, listen to your body and you will find out soon enough, won't you? I read an interesting discussion once on the chicken feed forum. There were people there who avoid eating unclean meats. Now understand that chicken is a clean food according to Bible law.but these folks were concerned that they were eating worms and bugs, etc because that's what their chickens were eating. The answer was: All those worms and bugs turns to chicken. Guest guest
Hello Marilyn, Thanks for the education. Since I was one passing the protein to my milk, I ignorantly assumed it was how things went. My daughter is allergic to peanuts and I found out after eating it and feeding her about 20 minutes later just to see her having a reaction. That's interesting about the goat. I sure hope that the goats are very healthy and therefore able to completely digest the milk. Do you have any links or books or sources of information that I can do further reading about it all? Oh, and yet another question. The kefir grains eat the protein of the milk? So, let's say that the peanut protein passed through the milk, will the kefir grains eliminate it then? Thanks again. Be well Miriam Marilyn Kefirlady <marilynjarz@...> wrote: Hi Miriam, I would say that not every mother would pass on the protein into her breast milk but only those mothers who did not completely digest the nuts. Guest guest
Welcome Mikhail, I have heard a few members say they haven't had elevated labs with Still's. I don't know the statistics of this occurrence though. Do I have Stills? What else should I ask my doctor? She seems to be very knowledgeable. Guest guest
Hi there Mikhail! Welcome home darling, now sit down and relax, put your feet up if you can (I certainly can't), would you care for a something to drink? I'm Ellen from South Florida. You're story, my dear, isn't all that unusual from some others here. I'm sorry you've had to join us but I'm very happy you're here and part of the family. Yes, I said family. Odd as it may seem that's exactly what we are. No one can answer your question for you honey. At least none of us can. You have to talk with your RD and be as open as you can be about it. I know it sounds or feels ridiculous but you must tell the doctor about EVERYTHING that's going on no matter how small it may seem to you. Even perhaps, noticing that you're losing more hair (sheading), or you've noticed your finger nails are brittle. Though it doesn't seem important to you it may mean something to the doctor. Now, enough of this. It's time to rest. Go on, we'll be here when you get up. Welcome to the family dear. Take care and be well. Guest guest
I'm another one who's blood work has never shown any abnormalities. That's so discouraging, as some Dr's have acctually insinuated that it's all in muy head. Most don't know HOW to work any other way than go by the " book protoco " l of ruliing things out by eliminating right down the " bood work list! For them once they marked evry thing off, we're DONE. Around June 1st I went to local emergency room with progressing muscle pains in my legs and sore throat. Pain got to the point where I had problems walking. I had very invasive dental surgery few weeks before so from the beginning doctors suspected some sort of auto-immune reaction. In subsequent weeks symptoms came and went while I underwent complete neurological evaluation (they suspected GBS). All neuro stuff including million bucks worth of MRIs came out clean. Additional symptoms appeared later and warranted visit to the RD (my PCP is a nice guy but this is way over his head). > My blood was totally normal on all counts.
