Does anyoneone have corn allergy or sensitivity? If not, most buffered C is good. Look for the least amt of ingredients in the capsule/tablet For children poweder is best- since less ingredients. I use acsorbic acid for myself also..if I run out of buffered.I like ALIVE for kids. Very potent!! Not like other Cs..it is corn free and good! Whole foods has this one.Iveta-- Sent from my Palm PreLexUU wrote:

I like Alive, too. It's organic and comes from food sources - no allergens if I

recall correctly. I use the vitamin C powder in my smoothies. (Company is

Nature's Way, by the way).

Thanks for the link! We have germs & gunk going around our house & community. It

would be nice to boost my family's immune system w/ a good quality vitamin C.

VItamin C

Sheri recommended Vitamin C from this website

http://www.vitapurity.com/zencart/index.php?main_page=index & cPath=6

so I wanted to let you all know both the capsules and crystals are on sale!

I'm not familiar with the crystals or how I would give Vitamin C to my little

ones. How many of you take it on a daily basis? Since it is a bit pricey will

it help if you only take it when you're sick?

I just ordered the Source Naturals sodium ascorbate powder from Amazon with

Subscribe and Save plus free shipping, for $12 for a 16 ounce bottle, which

seemed not too expensive to me. I take it daily plus more when I'm sick...

I'm pretty sure the Source Naturals is non-GMO...

Has anyone else heard this? I took Biochem last semester (i am getting a B.S.

but my school is mostly for DC/NDs) and my instructor ( a chiro ) informed us

you take Vitamin C by starting off with 500 mg increasing each week to bowl

tolerance about 2,000mg... then you need to go off of it for 4 weeks because

your body will stop absorbing it if it is getting the same exact dose each day.

I have never heard this on here or anywhere else but he is very informed and

seems to know his stuff. Any thoughts?

Hmm, not sure. Is he saying this is because you've already absorbed all you need and it can't absorb more at that point? Maybe he meant that but it didn't come out that way.

,

This is called pulsing.

I give any supplementation 5 days a week with 2 days off whether it's herbs or

vitamins.

Another way is a week on and a week off, or the two weeks on and two weeks off.

It's just easier for me to give Mon - Fri with Sat & Sun off.

For the first time, I bought Vitamin C Ester instead of regular C. It tastes

like the white part of an unripe grapefruit rind, and it gives me the shakes. Is

Ester C supposed to taste like that? Which kind is best for the body? Thank you

Are you taking a powder??? I have taken Ester C for a long as I can remember

but only in a tablet form. Has no taste at all. It's the only C I can take

that doesn't bother my stomach..

Yep, you can get Ester-C in tablets, capsules, or free powder. I prefer capsules or tablets. Works great for me.ShaunaOn Sat, Mar 10, 2012 at 12:22 AM, Marilyn Thoman <marilyn@...> wrote:
