It is more than 'about money', though on the surface money seems the prime

motivator. Dive in, poke around, throw out every preconceived notion you may

have had about our 'nice little neat lives', and look for a bigger picture, and

ask yourself who ultimately benefits, and I mean ULTIMATELY.......bearing in

mind that power is the ultimate goal. You can have money but no power, it's the

power that will bring you the money AND THE CONTROL.

Only thing is, I have since discovered a few vaccine websites and what I'm

reading is scaring me to death.

Don't get scared , just get educated. You have to find the information

yourself cause you'll get sweet FA from a doctor. We all know that most doctors

(GPs)are nobs and are nothing more than the middle man in what is a legalised

drug ring. Most just go to med school, agree with everything, get a degree, an

impressive office, speak down to everyone so as to appear superior and

BINGO!!!!!! an expert.

When I go to the medical library I am amazed at how young and unhealthy looking

many of the med students are. I had a conversation with a sixth year med

student on vaccines the other day, he knew zip.

Same as these 'caring people' on these new mother sites and baby sites, I am

amazed at the dippy information they hand out to unsuspecting, trusting first

time mums. The site I visited once with endorsements from J & J, and all these

cute pics of smiling babies, with these 'caring people' telling young pregnant

scared women to 'go vaccinate', may as well tell them to go play Russian

Roulette with their baby...........

And the reason you are scared is that vaccination is a superstition and

superstition is ruled by fear. You vaccinated your child because you thought it

was the right thing to do, and that's all very commendable, but the truth is you

did it cause you were scared.

And now you have had second thoughts (which is great) and opened a door and

peeked inside, and guess what, it's scary too.....the truth often is, but now

that you have had the courage to come so far, keep going........

Hi Kris, and welcome!

I just wanted to comment on your query about how to answer the awful " is she

up-to-date on her shots " question. After getting into a heavy-duty

vaccination discussion with the ER doctor when my daughter fell and split

her chin, I have changed my response from " no, by choice " to saying, " She's

just fine, " with a smile. They never ask further.

She's as up-to-date as she'll ever be!

I don't even discuss the vaccination question with hard-core individuals who

are more intent upon changing my mind or " shaming " me than listening with an

open mind to more than what they've been fed by their pediatrician, aka

" God. " People are incapable of learning with a closed mind.

I hope that you'll find the support that you need here. What part of

California were you transplanted to? I'm in Sonoma County.

dies of measles, tell them the first commercial after the first segment was

for the new vaccine Prevnar....guess who paid for that show!

I am a SAHM to three kids. Congrats on your pregnancy with #5.

My first is fully vaccinated, my second is partially vaccinated, and

my third, 7mos old, is not vaccinated all. I have always been honest

with people about my kids vaccination status, along with my older

son's autism status. Mostly, I am met with disapproving silence, but

once I was given a tongue lashing - right after that stupid ER

episode where the baby died of measles.

I shopped around until I found doctors who support me (in fact, the

practice I go to don't believe routine vaccinations are necessary, so

they not only support my decision they agree with me). Then, when I

am at the urgent care center or the ER, I point out that I have

MEDICAL doctors who agree with me, which of course is met with more

silence. Oh, well.

I remember that, LOL. Like the episode where the mom killed her baby

through taking stuff to keep her awake and it got in her breastmilk -

they panned over a table FULL of formula.

WoW! A practise that actually supports your decisions? That is wonderful!

I have shopped around here, and so far have only met with ADAMENT refusal to

even work with me. The closest that I found was a PA who doesn't believe if

giving kids 4-5 shots at a time.....so more trips and more office visits.

Luckily enough, I have been able to skirt the issure for the most part,

because my kids are very healthy. They have not been to " see " anyone in

over 18 months. So.....anyway. I am happy to know that there are practises

that agree with us!

I've come to the conclusion that taking a child to do doctor is what makes

them sick in the first place. Nicollette does go to a special doctor but he

does a complete different approach. A holistic approach. And he is trying to

repair the damage done to her from her previous doctors.

My sister had a special needs child who was very small. 2 lbs at birth,

three months early. She already had two previous children who suffered

reactions so she adamantly refused a lot of the care they said the child

needed. They kept stating because she was a preemie she needed Synagis

shots. My sister refused the doctor didn't like that. They said she was

taking a risk. She refused. And that child being a preemie and completely

unvaccinated is the healthiest of all her children. She got a lot of

negative feedback for her decision. There was another child in the hospital

that was also a preemie but weighed more and was 7 month term instead of 6

month term as my sister's child. She had a lot less problems in the

beginning than my sister's child. What was done differently was that she had

the Synagis shots, developed ear infections later, got all her shots,

suffered failure to thrive and died at six months old.

My sister's child who did not go through all these " necessary " procedures

that was kept being pushed on her. (My sister learned the hard way; An

ADHD/LD daughter and PDD-NOS son) is strong and well, alert and bright,

weight is good and is VERY (capitalized for emphasis) healthy. My sister got

a really hard time and many times doubted her decision but stood firm. After

all the aggravation she was very pleased with the decision she made. We have

one healthy child to show for it. And a preemie at that!!! She visits a

chiropractor once biweekly and nutritionist and that is all. When people ask

why she doesn't her child to a doctor for follow ups and such, my sister

replied she loved her daughter too much to take her to a doctor.

Also she had one ear infection. A garlic concocment was used. A little

fever and she was fine. Had she gone to a doctor he would have prescribed

antibiotics and she would have been there every month after as antibiotic use

will really only mean your child will be back at the doctor's office in four

to six weeks, where a chronic ear infection would result as well as yeast

issues. So no doctor for Jedia. We rather avoid them as much as we can.

Find a homeopath better to learn to be healthy than learn to be sick.

We are very lucky. Our pediatrician has totally accepted our religious

exemption without question. He's been wonderful. Unfortunately, htey don't

take the boys' new insurance so we had to find another one. He's an hour away

and my neighbor said that while he doesn't totally accept it, that he would not

harrass us about it.

Now, Ron and I are having a little boy in 2 weeks (icky induction, but I'M SO

READY). We are very lucky that Ron's insurance will cover for us to take the

new baby to Dr. Eisenstein (author of Educate before you vaccinate). He is

TOTALLY against routine immunizations and respects parental choice. I don't

think we'll actually see Dr. Eisenstein, but the whole practice is supportive.

I guess you have to just keep trying to find someone, but if the chiropractor is

working, I'd just stick with him.

Question~ If you know enough to not vaccinate, then why are you agreeing to

an induction?

Pitocin has all sorts of chemicals and preservatives in it, too.... Pitocin

causes hard unnatural contractions that are too close together and can cause

a lot of stress on the baby. The mother often finds that the pain from

pitocin contractions is way too much to handle, and will usually opt for an

epidural, with More medications that will affect the newborn.

High numbers of inductions fail because pitocin only causes Contractions~

Not cervical dilation. If things aren't going by the attending doctor's time

table, the doctor will declare " failure to progress " and will order a

C-section.

Pitocin is also known to cause blood pressure problems in both the mother &

the baby, as well as other types of stress.

Often inductions are planned at the convenience of the attending doctor, not

when the baby is ready to be born, so for that reason, the baby may Not be

ready to be born... which can lead to Other problems... the downward spiral

towards epidural meds, a C-section, breathing problems in the newborn, the

newborn's sucking ability hasn't developed yet, etc.

my dd at all as I beleive it innefective, dangerous and counter

productive as i beleive diseases are necessary in maintaining

health. I also consider complications/death rates to be over

exagerated and to be very low posing less risk of disease and high

risk of vaccine associated problems i do not want my child to

exposed to (cross species tissues, toxins, over loaded immune

system).

I am into alternative things, had a home unmediacted water birth

(refused vitamin k), like homeopathy, reflexology/shiatsu, cloth

diapers, sham and am vegetarian (as is dd). I am also interested in

buddhism and environmental issues/home schooling and attachment

parenting.

Im CB's Granny, he is 7 years old, verbal, and aggressive. But he is also Smart , got a wonderful sense of humor, and I think he's a good looking guy. I am very interested in the fact that your Evan started being aggressive in kindergarden. The same happened with CB, we had no behavior plan before that. What we discovered was that CB was being physically abused by his aide. Of course , we removed him from the school and filed suit. He now attends a private school for autistics and emotionally disturbed children. I wish I could say that the aggession stopped, but it hasnt.

Welcome, Debra, I am Pat; I am the grandmother of 12 year old Karac. I diagnosed Karac with autism when he was almost 3. I have worked ABA with him every day since that time. Karac has functional speech; he can read at first grade level (if he wants to). He can type with one or two fingers on the computer (if he wants to); he can ride a bike, swim, ride a scooter, ride a horse; add and subtract on the calculator, dress and undress himself, dribble a basketball, and he has functional speech. He has been toilet trained since he was four. However, puberty started last year and he became aggressive and was put on Geodon. The dosage was too high and he has developed tardive dyskinesia, and now it is difficult for him to do many of those things. That had always been my fear and I told the doctor at the time that he increased the medication, but since I am the grandmother I was not listened to. I'm telling you all this so that you will be careful if you ever think about medicating for aggression. I hope this isn't a downer, but I don't want what has happened to Karac to happen to any other child. I liked your scripture in . Blessings, Pat K

CB came home from school ( another formal suspension for aggression ) and he decided to turn on the hose, (so I thought ) he took his shirt off to put cold water on his back and legs. Welts, bruises etc. When asked who did this "ouchy" to you he would only parrot. Took a couple of days for him to realize he wasnt in trouble, then he tolds us his shadow made his Ouchys.

on. I wasnt sure if it still was due to cut backs. That program helped me

go out and work for an inclusive type education for my son. It is hard not

to get emotional when advocating for our children. That is great you are an

advocate for other parents.
