Michele,

Thanks! Keep up the good work, and know that the Victory Theory is

absolutely awesome! If you had ever considered purchasing it, I would

recommend it highly! I can't begin to tell you how much it has helped me. I

know the initial investment can be a little difficult, but it is well worth

every penny. I'm glad that you like that challenge, and I bet your gonna

benefit from it like crazy.

Michele,

I just reread my post and wanted to make sure that you didn't think that you

needed to do the challenge like crazy. I meant that because you're doing so

well already, that you would not need to apply much effort to this technique

to benefit from it, because you have such a postive attitude naturally!

Hi and All,

I honestly don't remember a challenge on this board but it has been

awhile! I think it is a good idea though and I hope we can work

something out. I do remember people checking in every so often though

so it would be good for motivation. We all could use a little extra

motivation every now and then.

Hi ,

The challenge starts when you begin, since it is actually a personal challenge as compared to a contest. We are not competing on weight loss, but challenging ourselves to really stick with it for thirty days at 40 breaths in on sitting.

I decided this for myself since that is how I understood Rashelle explained would work the best for inch loss. I decided on the 30 days because that is about how long it takes to convince me something works and to make it a part of my daily routine. Posting to the list makes me more accountable and apparently works that way for others too. Besides, it seems that when others see that we are doing it, they want to do it too. We can do this together even though we are great distances apart!

Karma,When does the challenge begin???However, I'm one of the counting impaired. I set my timer for 20minutes. I do about 2-3 breaths per minute, so I'm sure I'm doing atleast 40 - 50 breaths in a row.I'd really like to join in because I've been slacking on my morning workout here and there.I've also been doing about 30 breaths every other day in the pool. (AFlorida LL Advantage!!!) I put one of those long tub things under myknees and one behind my head and relax, soak up some sun, catch a fewrays and breath! (My doctor told me at least 15 minutes a day in thesunshine - so I'm technically only following doctors orders!!)When do we begin. I also want to try what Rashelle said in that emailyou reposted. I'm going to do at least 10 breaths in each positioninstead of changing to so many positions. Actually it is just because if I don't tell myself that I have to do the full 40 that I will get lazy and let myself only do 39 as "Good enough" You can do whatever you think is challenging. I picked 40 as my number because that is what I remembered Rashelle saying as the number to shoot for to get the best results.

Karma-The challenge is for 40 consistent breaths in a row-and if youonly do 39 and stop, you need to restart the next segment again and do acomplete 40 in order for it to count. Wonderful! I am going to start reporting in by saying I am on day whatever I happen to be on so that others will know where I am on it. I noticed that someone did that and thought it was very helpful to know which day of their challenge they were on.

Actually, I'm so glad that I checked my email this morning. I did my

breathing yesterday. I was tired so I did half of my breaths sitting

down. That was new for me, yet I was determined to do them. Today, I

got a very slow start and WOW! 71 messages later from everyone I'm

really inspired to get off this computer and do my breathing for today.

Today is my day 2. I'm going to write that yesterday was my official

start date on my calendar so I can accurately keep track of my 30 days.

:-) I am so glad you are going to do this. Between the two of us, we have been half doing this for a long time. I am really focusing on my lower abs and firming them up. I'm not doing it half way this time. It's all or bust!

Oh, ! When I re-read my message I was offended! I am sorry for how I worded my message! I was trying to think, type my message and answer some school questions at the same time! Please accept my apologies. I meant to say that I have been doing this half way for a long time and that I know you have also been breathing for a long time. I didn't mean to say that you only do stuff half way! How rude! I am sorry that I said that, it wasn't what I meant at all!

Hi all,

Didn't get a chance to post yesterday, but day two was 45 breaths and

stretches,

today (day 3) is 40 so far. Will try to get more in at work tonight. Have a

good weekend all.

I had no idea this silly Challenge was going to be so difficult for me to stick with! I am gaining a new understanding on why I was a slow loser! I see that I really was relying on just doing the breaths through out the day as a cop out of actually get a workout in! Man, oh, MAN! Bad habits are hard to break! I am going to get this one broke though and have the good habit of getting all my breaths done at one sitting instead of throughout the day.

Thanks for cheering me up by letting me know I am not the only one who forgets to get the breaths in.

Well, Karma it seems you are not the only one starting over. I had four days of the challenge under my belt then went out of town for the weekend. I did 40 breaths in the car traveling on Friday, but never even gave it a second thought on Saturday. So Sunday on the way home I started over doing 40 in the car. I measured this morning. (() & & $#%$)__++)+() & %!!!!!) as you can see it wasn't good, LOL. I am counting today as day one for me, and will report in at the end of the day.

Actually, Karma, I'm still trying to get motivated into doing my workout today!!!! I hereby make a promise to get in at least 40 breaths with stretches. There now I have made a promise I have to keep!

Third times the charm for me too! Yesterday (Saturday) I had a birthday party go get the kids to and help with, along with plenty of other things. I woke up this morning going over my day yesterday making sure I had gotten everything done and I realized that I hadn't done my breathing! Of all the things to forget! RATS!, RATS, and Double RATS!

On the other hand, we can start over together. :-)

Hello everyone, Just wanted to let you know that I finished the 40 day challenge on Tues. Nov. 6th.I wanted to take a moment to thank Karma for thinking of it. It has become a habit now,(a good one) hoo hoo!! Actually I'm kinda surprised, cause its just something I do now,like brushing my teeth. I know that I feel better, I think mentally as well as physically,however I guess I'm one of the slow losers. I finally measured today, and have only lost1 1/2 inches over-all. I was hoping for more after doing it so faithfully. Oh well, evena small loss is better than none, so I will keep on doing LL every day. My husband says he can tell a difference, but I think maybe he's just being nice. I probably won'tmeasure again until I can tell a big difference in my clothes. Welcome to all younewbies!! You can do it!! Hugs to you and the kids. Sounds like you are going

through some big life changes. I really think BFL will help you stay

focused. Good luck and I am planning on losing 50+ pounds (already lost 20)

Congratulations on taking those " before " photos - that's one of the

most difficult parts of the program, but one that will keep you

motivated!

Be sure to write your goals down, and plan out your meals and

workouts. The BFL program will help you be more organized, and with

the challenges that you are facing with the divorce, children to care

for, educational and career plans, organization and planning will be

extremely helpful in helping you to achieve those goals.

You're on your way to a better life. Don't be concerned with

showing " him " anything, " he " doesn't matter and he's not worth the

energy it takes to think about him, you're doing this for you!
