MIchelle loves Barbie dolls too. Most of the time she hangs around

watching disney movies and acting like she is one of the characters LOL. I

feel so bad she has no friends. She is a good follower. She scares me to

death because she is starting to grow breast buds and is also 9

years old like Hannah. Then she asked my best friend how she can get a

boyfriend??!!!!!! I am so glad she isnt going to Trindiad schools no more.

At least now in Raton NM they are noticing how socially behind she is.

Do you know what my biggest worry is Cheryl? I worry that when she hits 14

or so that she will do anything tomake friends and someone take advantage of

her. She already lets people take advantage of her anyway talks her out of

anything. This last time it was a book of Harry Potter I bought for her.

Maybe especially if they are into Barbie dolls........hannah is going on 9

but still loves her Barbies, but i heard somewhere that is good, as at least

she is associating these dolls with real people!!, hope it is true. cheryl S

Hey Charlene...we're not having too good a morning either. I still have

dents in my walls and a couple of holes too, sometimes I feel like I have a

few dents and holes myself!! <smile>. We're all been there, and it's amazing

how we've survived this far!! Hang in there, girl...it will get better,

doesn't it always?

I hope your state has a program to provide services for kids with

developmental disabilities, sounds like you could use a break.

good morning

We bought a double wide nov 2000. They had a wood stove in it but

the door of glass and it was just for looks but we use it to heat cheaper

then propane LOL. Last night my nt son decided to put a log in the fire

but it was too hot for him so he slammed the door and the glass shattered

burning his foot and it was so hot I thought would burn the floor it landed

on. My husband flipped wanting a divorice or to go out of town again to

get away from it all LOL. They put there fingers through a fiber glass tub

We pasted it but now it cracked so we duck taped it. I want to replace

it with this 300 pound tub we bought for $10 They flooded the floor behind

and now the particle board is bowing! has broke the window in the

truck by hitting it with his head, hes eaten tar that I put onthe block

skirting the inspector required, hes thrown a whole can of pain outside it

spilled everywhere. has broke a wooden door on the cabinet in

pieces cost $30 to have someone rebuild it and I installed it! We doour

own work but it still costs money and patients. My husband went off the

deep end last night. Iam about too LOL If its not the schools, the

government no help peoples attitudes then its the kids themselves abusing

your home! I used to have a so called military wife friend who knew it

all. She got a job at New Hanover nj WORKING FOR special needs and only

lasted a year. Her attitude was well if youd provide structure. Have

you heard of supervision? I had to dump her LOL

don;t worry, i have those fears too..........she is just so innocent, and it

takes awhile for her to win confidence in people, but once she knows where

you fit in she is fine. I am going to have to keep her close i can see, as

there are some things she simply just does not understand. As she grows

older i don;t know how it will be.

she has a little girl down the road come over, when she is bored, but Hannah

finds it so hard to interact, i have to keep prompting her, to go show her

barbies, do something with the little girl or she will go off and do her own

thing......there are days i just want to cry, as she really does not know

what a real friend is. Last year she had 2 little girls who would try real

hard with her in school, but i can see they won;t be there for much longer,

as they are maturing, and going onto the next stage of life, where as hannah

is just staying the same. She comes and hugs me at least 10 times a day and

tells me how much she loves me. I better go to bed, got up as back was

aching......it is 4.44am...........i must be crazy. Cheryl S

I hope it's okay to laugh at your recent family events! I heard

scribbling on the wall the other day and saw Allie coloring away on

the sheet-rock. I was torn between being so fed up with art-work

walls throughout the house and her being able and interesting in

coloring. Then there's the constant taking the sand bucket in the

bathroom & dumping all the toilet water onto the floor. When she

can't make it there she likes to sit in the dishwater and splash

around the kitchen. Then there's climbing on top of the piano to

throw all the nice pictures on the floor.

Allie's teacher had us fill out a form. One question asked what her

favorite activities are when not being engaged. We put " destroy the

house " . She said that was the best answer yet, because (she grew up

with a profoundly autistic brother) she knows most autistic do that

but we are the first family to admit it. Admit it? I want them to

know our pig pen isn't just because I don't clean, lol.

LOL Debi you made me laugh. Its true our pig pen but not because

we dont clean. I have a suggestion for the bathroom though. I want to

put a drain in the middle of the floor! AS for the walls at fort dix they

used flat paint which came off when scrubbed here I use semi gloss latex and

I clean it with pure simple green comes off nicely then. Its great5 Allie

has a teacher who has grown up experiencing autism. Yes its ok to laugh

Debi because it makes it easier to take. I mean cant fight it join it

Craig & I have discussed that very thing about a drain! We both

worked restaurant work as teens and at the end of the day the

protocol was to sprinkle Tide all over the tile floors, scrub, and

hose/squeegy to the drain. We have decided if we ever build we're

gonna have floor drains in the kitchen, all baths, and next to water

heaters. It just makes too much sense not to have drains near water

sources. But, we have a concrete slab foundation, so it would be a

real hoot to try to install that in every room here.

I can assure you repaints in this house will definitely be at least

semi-gloss. People wonder why we don't pain our scribbled walls. We

just got our 5 1/2 year old artist to stop decorating the walls (keep

our fingers crossed on that one!) and now we have our Allie Kat just

getting started, and a fiesty four month old to go. Why would I want

to paint 2,500 sq ft of walls to watch them get decorated again????

I'm not THAT stupid!

BTW, I hate it that I'm back in college and cannot enjoy this message

board as much. From the looks of the posts I've been scanning lately

it appears everyone's had some " fun " posts. Sorry I can't add my 2

cents worth. (everyone can sigh relief now, lol)

Plan your day so the fillet of fish and fries are in your day. When I know we are eating out I try and eat light before and after.

> Freezing my butt off here in Rochester where its going to be a high in

the 20's.

And I'm freezing down here in Bayonne, where we started at 32 and now it's

down to 28 and the drizzle has turned to sleet, later to turn to 6 more

inches of snow. To top it off, the furnace is on the fritz again and we've

had no heat for over 24 hours.

> Ok here is my fat person logic ya ready?

Oh, this is gonna be *good*! LOL

>Mcs has their fish sandwiches for a $1 on Fridays. This is messing

up my plans to

get started on a " diet " . Ok go ahead and smack me LOL.

No, no smacking. A lashing with a wet whole wheat noodle, maybe. :)

If you *really* want that greasy, breading-laden thing that is a higher

percentage of white flour and fat than fish, go ahead, but stop at one. Why

not hit a fish store, buy a decent piece of fish (I know, the cost) and cook

it up at home (now I'm making you work, too) with loads less fat and have it

on a whole wheat pita loaed with veggies? Or buy a pre-cooked filet at the

fish store - it's bound to have less breading and won't be deep-fried like a

MickeyD fish filet.

But if it means that much to you, eat it. But remember what I said in my

previous post about a food you crave. Eat just a little bit and eat it

slooow. Really savor the taste of it. Taste the breading and the roll. Taste

the fish.

And if you gotta have fries with it, stick to the Small.

> and start a " diet " on Monday or do I start now and cheat tomorrow

Now *this* is the type of mentality I want you to stop. DO NOT think of the

food you eat as a reducing diet. You want to change your eating habits for

the rest of your life, not switching to something you're going to go off and

on as you feel like. Go back and re-read my long message about changing what

you're eating, making healthier choices. " Diet " means deprivation, and

" deprivation " leads to craving and " craving " leads to going off the diet and

going off a " diet " leads to guilt, and guilt leads to binge eating - well,

you know the whole routine.

>With impending war somehow my problem seems more important LOLOL

Why? Are you enlisting? Will buying that fish win the war for us?

>Ok, well one thing I have promised myself is that I will be GOOD TODAY

regardless.

You are " good " every day. Making a not-so-healthy food choice doesn't make

you " bad " .

Now, go plan on what kind of fish you're going to have tomorrow.

Jodee - guess what? Mcs will have the fish sandwich from now until

eternity. They will have their $1 special again, and again. No doubting that.

So my advice.....forget the sandwich completely! You don't need those empty

calories honey.......... Start your new way of life now......and don't worry

about this " special " !

Love you lots!

Hey Wet Noodles Hurt! haha I was just goofin on ya. I do like them though.

I would like to hit a certain weight by the end of the year. I can't let

stupid stuff like Mcs interfere. As much as they try they can keep

their Shamrock Shake and their Fish Sandwich. I will drink my fresh ice tea

and eat my catfish and broccoli :)

Hi,

From www.mcdonalds.com:

Filet-O-Fish

calories 470

total fat 26 grams

saturated fat 5 grams

exchanges are:

3 Carbohydrate (CHO)

3.5 Fat

1 Medium Fat Meat

but I don't know how that translates to WW or Foodmover or whatever.

Small fries adds 210 calories and 10 g fat. Medium fries adds 450 calories

and 22 grams of fat.

Is it worth it to you? If it is then go ahead and get it. You still have

1000-1500 calories to use on other things during the day. As Sue said, we

have to balance our diets for life. I could be perfectly happy going the

rest of my life without a fish sandwich from Mcs but I have other

weaknesses. :)

>I could live on Mc's fish sandwiches if I had my pick!!!!!

I was never a fish eater - too many bad bone experiences. But I *could* live

on their fries alone. Or fries with a Big Mac. Or a Quarter Pounder. Or a

Double Beef Quarter Pounder with Cheese...

Sorry, drooling all over the keyboard here! No wonder it was acting up

earlier today.

No, my big meal days at MickeyD's are gone the closer I get to 50. It's

easier for me to hit my freezer, grill up or even nuke a Boca burger,

defrost a whole wheat burger bun, toss a load of toppings on it, and dig in.

A good healthy meal, and I can be as sloppy as I want because nobody is

gonna see me in my own kitchen.

Subject: Good Morning

Just wanted to update everyone on the Drs yesterday. Sorry I didn't post

last night. I have had a really bad headache and am unsure what it is from.

I was doing 8cc of the MTX at 25mgs and he increased it to a full 10cc.. Told

me to take 2mgs of the Folic Acid on Friday nights and Saturdays, as this

should cut down on the fatigue that I get after the injections.. He put on on

Zoloft, due to being slightly depressed.. I am still trying to keep my spirits

up, but with the disease, not being able to work and the anniversy of Terry

and

his father passing. This are just getting way to hard for me.. Have been

pretty down this week, but still trying to smile and laugh in between it all..

lol..

He did do xrays on my left knee and said that it still looks okay.. He does

want to do a bone density though. So I will get that scheduled in the next

couple of weeks. He gave me the referral to go back to Denver to see the Dr

at

University of Colo. To see about the Kinneret, he thinks it is a good idea to

try, since the MTX isn't doing all he hoped it would do.. I will go back to

see

him in six weeks, depending on when I get to see the Dr in Denver.. He wants

to keep the Dr in Denver in the loop with him and myself, which I am glad.

The three of us will get things under control, hopefully sometime soon.. lol

Still taking the Vicoden for pain.

I told him that my PCP called the other night, as my white count was high and

he is concerned and wanted to send me back to the oncologist. He agreed with

me that it is due to the Prednisone and Still's and at this time I dont need

to go back to the oncologist. (that was a huge relief) not ready to give

more blood again, well more than I am anyway.. lol

Hope everyone has a good weekend.. Hope everyone is somewhat pain free.

Love you all

Hi there Kelley,

It sounds like we are on the same amount of MTX, I think MTX has been

the most effective drug I have used. You are in our thoughts and

prayers Kelley, this sounds like a ruff time to go through. Please keep

in mind your Stilligans friends and how much we love you. I would love

to chat on the phone with you, would you send me your telephone number

please. Louise.

Hi Kelley,

Thank you for sharing the update from your doctor's visit. Here's hoping

that headache

has now left you. I was wondering what 10cc's of mtx is in pill form? I sure

hope that

the increase helps. Also hoping that the Zoloft helps with the depression.

It should.

It's only natural for you to feel depressed about Terry and his father..it

has only been

a year now hasn't it? One doens't get over those things overnight, and

sometimes

ever. All in all, I think you get an A+ for great attitude Kelley!

It may take a little while, but one of these days your doctors will hit upon

the " cocktail "

of meds that works just right for you.

Keep trying to put that smile on your face, and stay in contact with the

rest of us here,

sometimes you might not think so..but, you will be okay my friend.

Love & hugs,

~~tricia~~

PMS is the pits!! I will indulge in some BFL desserts during this

time. Mrs. Bishwit's kitchen has an excellent chocolate peanut

butter protein pudding recipe. If you really have to have chips, you

can take true WW tortillas, cut them up into triangles, bake them at

250 until they are crunchy and then top them with some cottage cheese

and salsa.

have to say I have not done so great on saying no to " feel good good " !
