I have read you can do either, depending on your technique.

the correct technique according the the book hardgainer is to keep

your chin out/up and transfer most of the weight to your glutes/hams

and lower back. I find my lower back gives out first and needs extra work

to cope with the bigger weights my glutes/ham can cope with.

it also depends if you use a board under your heals, which

you shouldnt be doing as it puts added stress on the knees.

Good morning,

I been on this list for around.....mmmmmm....two months or so,I found this

list to be insulting unhelpul,I posted several messages concerning things

about BFL,either someone made a joke out of it or twisted to make fun of it!

I not here to poke fun start trouble or anything like that,I came here

looking for help, instead I get annoying comments from catty

females....instead helping a Sister out..I get the hand or the finger or the

door..and i won't take it no more, not everyone think alike or have the same

life experiences,I posted message about thing that i migth need help in,

instead it's over shadow by critizsim, for what?

cause i keep it real?

I do I'm not going to lie about,doing everything the book say...I'm not

going to lie, I'm taking it step by step, keeping it real!

I stated that I brought that products and used them, i stated I do the

cardio!

I know my body and I not what I have to do to get into shape!

Not everybodys body is the same,and before you get into any program you

should get to know your body, everday and everyway!

and that is what I do,I know that for me to achieve my goals i would have to

do the bfl and more to get the rusults i want and need, excuse me for not

thinking like everyone else:(.

I don't think it's a cult? Mayeb or maybe not!

I just don't think i get the right support from no one on the List.......I

know why but i rather not say....sine this is Bfl you should not on work on

you outside to get beutifully but or so work on the inner to reflect the

outside!

I'm not going to give up...I do believe that i have something to offer

and I know there someone out there to gain!

I don't i should be afraid to speak me mind........who are to determine

what right or wrong?

I hope everyone look at them sleves in the mirror and ask yourself are you

real? are you true to yourself ?

I know that i'm true to myself cause I'm not afraid to adk and inquire!

Oh yeah, on the typo's i stated that i don't type that well, and I'm also at

work...I don't know you everyone on this list work.....I do andI don't have

the luxury Of sitting in front of a computer all day ,discussing BFL.....So

when I type it's at a high speed and I don't have time to check over my

messages...So i would try and me more lucis as possilble!

One more thing that is burning me up i posted someting about Rezoom!

And i made a typo and someone made a joke, " that i should not rezoom no morw

or something in that nature, it's like being in high school all

agian.....mind you i don't have time for high school games.....

Well thought that i wasn't going to verbose, I guess I lied.......

I came in gracfully and i intend to leave Peacefully!

Thank you very much,

Grace and Peace....just a fyi: i lost 10 more pounds and gain 5 lbs of

muscles!

Oh yeah baby!

And those you are helpfull that you and the others.....I pray for you

everyday!

I believe if you had been actually addressing BFL when you would post and actually seemed to have an interest in contributing something or asking assistance with something concerning BFL, you would not have met the criticism you did.

I personally came to this list to discuss BFL. I can discuss other things with friends outside this list, but I come here specifically to discuss my BFL experience and gain insight through everyone else's BFL experience.

I'm glad I found this board and use it for the purpose it was intended.

Best Wishes to You,

Cheryl :)

I appreciate your prayers. I'm an almost 10 month cancer survivor and I

pray it will be for life! BTW, I've lost 75 lbs of fat and gained 30 lbs of

muscle by following BFL by the book.

Everything you said before this may be believeable, but the last sentence is not. I don't believe you are a praying person when you have an attitude like you do. The fruit is not there. You're harrassing people at work? COME ON!!!

Hi IK,

Here is some information on the Bob Beck protocol. There is a lot of

information here so you might want to bookmark it.

I am sending information on asthma in a separate email.

Dotsie

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
" According to Dr. Beck, following his protocol will COMPLETELY CURE anyone
of
most infectious diseases, including (but not limited to) Hepatitis, HIV/AIDS,
cancer, TB, Herpes, Chronic Fatigue, etc etc ad nauseum. He claims to have
NUMEROUS cases of NEG PCR tests of people who followed the protocols as
outlined in his paper, while those who didn't get a neg PCR test
still had a remission of ALL symptoms (these were not simply people who had a
POS HIV test, these people were DYING of AIDS). The same goes for cancer
patients (tumors gone, neg biopsies), etc.
The use of these devices IN COMBINATION is apparently what does the trick,
and the OXYGEN from the ozonated water is a major part of it. This process is
also supposed to eliminates all parasites " .
Eileen,
This list is primarily concerned with alternative treatments, but you may want
to check out a conventional treatment for NSCLC called Iressa. It is a growth
factor receptor inhibitor with minor side effects that has shown very good
results with non-small-cell. It is being developed by Astra Zeneca and I
believe they have an expanded access program you may be eligible for after
chemo. Your onc should know about it or you can call Astra Zeneca
1-800-236-9933. (BTW, I have no stock in Astra Zeneca :-)
Cheryl-I am interested in an alternative treatment if I can find one
that will help me in this. After being diagnosed, and I know I am
certainly not alone in this, I was in total shock and did
the " expected things " . The chemo, although I don't try to let it, has
affected my life as I know it does everyones. I continue to work my
40 hours plus job and do all the things I did before, except comb my
hair....lol. After I finish this round of chemo and get the results
of the CAT scan and chest x-ray, I expect there will be some other
treatment that will be available, I just don't want one that
overtakes my life as this one has tried to do. I have heard of
Iressa and did mention it to my oncologist upon my first
appointment. I am thinking that possibly he will suggest it as one
of several viable options.
My concern was if there was any other things I could be doing to
bring about a more beneficial status without the major side effects
that the chemo has given me.
thanks,
Eileen
Eileen,
It's been a while since I've actively researched the latest on NSCLC. But as
far as I know there is nothing else in conventional medicine that has come close
to Iressa. If there are several viable options then there must have been
tremendous progress in the last several months. It's not a chemo drug and
doesn't (it appears) cause the harm that the chemo drugs do. Of course, there
are many, many alternative treatments that might help, too. I tried to sort out
all of the options myself when my husband was diagnosed with NSCLC, which was
really a full time job. If I had it to do over again I'd order a research
report (or 2 or 3) and use it to build on. I think www.cancerguide.org has a
list of these (you'd want one that includes alt. treatment). I'd suggest
www.cures for cancer.org for a good overview alternative treatments & practitioners
and www.lungcanceronline.org for info. on conventional treatments and status of
research drugs. And of course there are some real experts on this list (more
qualified to advise you on alt. treatments than I). Best of luck to you.
That is a GREAT rule Judi, IMHO. I have seen people with typical children who
would let them grunt and whine but say nothing when they were definitely old
enough to speak and give them the thing without even attempting to require
language. Our kids need language reinforcement and lots of it. and I
have our evening talks. He sits on the bed with me at bedtime and tells me all
about his day. I began this a while back and had to insist sometimes, but now
he asks to talk to " sweetheart " (his name for me).
Elaine
Good morning
There has been some kind of bug going around. Well, it's hit our household
hard. Jordan's been sick for well over a month now and is finally starting to
get better. Thankfully Savannah's been spared and has not gotten anything.
Jordan's got the dual ear infection thing plus sinusitis. I've just got the
sinusitis but what a pain! Everyone's cranky.
So anyway... here I was asking Jordan if she wanted some chicken soup because
she's been on this soup kick thing lately. I put some warm chicken broth in her
sippy cup. She sipped it and immediately said " gicken soup! " I Loved it!!
When she puts two new words together, I always notice. It's a great feeling
because lately I won't listen to her if she just comes to me and says something
like " cup " . My rule is that she has to tell me in a sentence what she wants.
She's picked up on it and is saying a lot more now. Despite the fact that she's
been sick, she's always trying to please others! Well, after that, I'm
definitely pleased!
Savannah is almost 5 weeks old now... I can't believe how fast the time is
going by! She's holding up her head and starting to really smile too. No
cooing yet, but I imagine that will come soon.
Hey Charlene...we're not having too good a morning either. I still have dents
in my walls and a couple of holes too, sometimes I feel like I have a few dents
and holes myself!! <smile>. We're all been there, and it's amazing how we've
survived this far!! Hang in there, girl...it will get better, doesn't it
I hope your state has a program to provide services for kids with developmental
disabilities, sounds like you could use a break.
good morning
We bought a double wide nov 2000. They had a wood stove in it but
the door of glass and it was just for looks but we use it to heat cheaper
then propane LOL. Last night my nt son decided to put a log in the fire
but it was too hot for him so he slammed the door and the glass shattered
burning his foot and it was so hot I thought would burn the floor it landed
on. My husband flipped wanting a divorice or to go out of town again to
get away from it all LOL. They put there fingers through a fiber glass tub
We pasted it but now it cracked so we duck taped it. I want to replace
it with this 300 pound tub we bought for $10 They flooded the floor behind
and now the particle board is bowing! has broke the window in the
truck by hitting it with his head, hes eaten tar that I put onthe block
skirting the inspector required, hes thrown a whole can of pain outside it
spilled everywhere. has broke a wooden door on the cabinet in
pieces cost $30 to have someone rebuild it and I installed it! We doour
own work but it still costs money and patients. My husband went off the
deep end last night. Iam about too LOL If its not the schools, the
government no help peoples attitudes then its the kids themselves abusing
your home! I used to have a so called military wife friend who knew it
all. She got a job at New Hanover nj WORKING FOR special needs and only
lasted a year. Her attitude was well if youd provide structure. Have
you heard of supervision? I had to dump her LOL
Thanks Vickie. I am not alone in this insanity LOL I know how to
repair holes in walls its fairly simple but by now you probably know how
too LOL
Here is a funny story for you! We had a support group at memorial
hospital in burlington county while we were in NJ. I guess some people
just had there teenage daughters watching the kids LOL My daughter went
off on her own playing with the marker and white board, my son was eating
the table cloth, taking his clothes off ect ect all the other kids were
well behaved as one had williams syndrome, down syndrome ect but they were
well behaved. Anyway after it was over two hours later the teenage girls
ran out of there and I heard one saying to the other I will never have any
kids and the other one said back me neither I never want to see another kid
in my life LOL So if anyone has a nt teenager who wants a baby and would
like to talk them out of it well have them watch our children LOL
If I was in Australia Cheryl I would help you out in that situation
by letting her play with mine. Actually my daughter needs a play mate real
bad. She cries allthe time she has no friends. My daughter and your
daughter may of been good playmates.
