Guest guest
Different Pamela here, but I use coconut oil for cooking all the time, that and olive oil. The coconut oil adds a nice flavor too. Pamela MacGilchrist wrote: > > Dear Pamela, > I take one table spoon full a day in mile. Guest guest
Hi lynn When blowing under house the vents for the home are there, if the RPrufe dust bugs you it is easily rendered stuck in place buy epsom salts water. Roach prufe is one mean character. I dusted one of my apts with it and put a fan in the window to air out the house, the window screen in front of the fan was torn to shreds in 3 months of it exhauting out. I never lived in the apt , it is just for business storage and for truck parking in the lot. A tri-jet fogger with epsom 2 cup & 1/2 cup borax & 1 cup windex is very effective also. Roach Prufe is no joke . Try a little first under the house to see if it makes gag because it might get in the heat vents. I believe RP is effective as long as you dont breathe it . RP makes me gag to death. I sprayed epsom all over the room I applied it to lock it down 2 hrs after powdering my apt bedroom I live in . I coughed for 2 weeks after. NEVER again. I dont want lung problems and that powder is the nastiest powder I have ever seen. The directions on the can say lightly sweep a little in to the baseboard cracks. I like to test a small area first to make sure I can live with the poison. God bless you , Bill . ps I have a friend thet drank coconut oil 4 oz per day for 1 month and her fungus toenail grewin for the 1st time in 7 years. It tastes great . and she craved it and it helped her alot she says. Some are saying there is a fungus involved with this bug thing. Organic Coconut oil extra virgin by Nutiva is cheap , if shopped. I pay 40.00 for gallon . I buy it from a friend, who buys it at an internet site . it is better than butter. I will get the sales address from her HAPPY THANKSGIVING Lynn PSS The arm and hammer laundry sopa ends this bugs life. In the wash, In the tub, sprayer into the car seats,Z dumped on the scalp. It took only a few days to arrest all activivity & for the bumps to disappear. I use it 1 teasp per cup. It works like nothing else I have ever used. Even baking soda works excellent, same mix 1 teasp per cup. Lynn wrote: > > Hi All > Had to cut back on the coconut oil to just bed time use. It is starting to irritate the skin big time. Guest guest
Hi Lynn Good to hear you have no vents & no insulation . Sounds like the rp will go every where up into the walls & light sockets. & figture in the wall, that is one of my .... dreams..... . Sound like some might leak though , I alway just spray epsom water on powder poisons that bug me. I locks it down , a leave blower held behind a garden sprayer nozzle makes a home made fogger for epsom water 1 cup & 5 cups water. I blew out 1 apt once with borax powder & didn & #39;t have a clue as to how to go back in . The borax powder wnt air born fro a fan I had running & caused an instant laxitive effect on me & then on my cleaning crew that I called for help. I coudnt use borax for 1.3 years after that. Now I am careful with powdering . Sprinked borax has been hleping me in the shared laundry room area at the apt . They have banned my bleach spraying of that area.Bleach dosent work so well because they çome right back when it dries. Powdering with borax has a long term effect. Guest guest
Try using olive oil. Another thing you could do is buy jojoba oil and add it to the mix. All the butters (shea, mango, cocoa) are very thick and moisturizing. > > Hi All > > Had to cut back on the coconut oil to just bed time use. It is starting to irritate the skin big time. Guest guest
Lynn It is the same as vaseline here are the ingredients. If concerned with the ingredients try this homemade recipe, and add the flower of sulfa. The active ingredients of Bag Balm are 8-hydroxyquinoline sulfate 0.3% (antiseptic) in a petroleum jelly and lanolin base.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bag_Balmhttp://blog.knoxfarms.com/?p=23 Knox Farms and Homestead Knox Farms and Homestead Udder Balm Recipe (Hard to liquid oils ratio 2:1) Measurements in weight ounces Ingredients: 2 oz soybean shortening 2 oz shea butter 1 oz mineral oil 1/2 oz sweet almond oil 1/2 oz olive oil 1/8 oz Tea Tree Essential Oil 1/8 oz Lavender Essential Oil 1/8 oz Peppermint Essential Oil 1/8 oz Rosemary Essential Oil (You can use any combonation of essential oils just make sure you use 1/2 oz. Avoid Sweet Orange, Lemon, or any harsh EO in use on delicate tissue) Instructions: On low heat, melt all non essential oils in a sauce pan. Put in Kitchen Aid mixer and mix for 1 minute on high. Place in the freezer for 1 minute. Mix for 2 minutes. Place in freezer for 2 minutes. Mix for 3 minutes. Place in freezer for 3 minutes. Repeat adding 1 minute until it has a nice white, fluffy consistency. Add essential oils and transfer to a sterile container (I use an old udder balm container from tractor supply). > > > >> > > > Hi All> > > > > > > > Had to cut back on the coconut oil to just bed time use. Guest guest
Yes, it is. Its action will be to smother; it might also hold moisture in your skin but I'd just as soon rub motor oil on my face. In fact, I remember a guy saying that he and his girlfriend covered themselves in motor oil. This was a few years back and I wonder what disorders or diseases they ended up with! LOL I've decided not to use petroleum products any more - vaseline, baby oil, none of that. I like the fractionated coconut oil, it has no smell and is a clear liquid like baby oil. But if the oil is irritating your skin you might try another - olive, sweet almond, canola - there are a lot of them! > > > > > > > > Hi All > > > > > > > > Had to cut back on the coconut oil to just bed time use. Guest guest
I hear ya'. I tried bag balm recently (petroleum based), and experienced the same thing- it felt like my skin was being asphyxiated. I recommend products from Mountain Ocean. http://www.mountainocean.com/product/broch.htm I've tried their moisturizer (made with coconut oil, aloe vera , and lanolin)- it's instantly absorbed into the skin, and feels great. Good for the face, not practical for the whole body though. You might want to check out their soap, shampoos and conditioners. Guest guest
Thanx, Bill. Where are others getting their coconut oil? I found a site that sells a 5 gallon tub of it, but their site is closed right now so it can't be ordered from them. Gwendolyn and I are having good success with it. And our dogs love it. The dogs' mouths are badly infested so letting them lick up the coconut oil is great for them. We want to get a large amount of it in stock in our home. Guest guest
Hey there! I did do the coconut oil for a while. It seemed to be working rather well. But I was also on the Hydrogen Peroxide therapy also. Both help but in different ways. Some people with AIDS or HIV don't like to take it because it makes you lose weight. And most people with HIV or AIDS already have to struggle with gaining weight. I've known a few people get off of it because of the losing weight issue. Weight with me has never been an issue. I'm not fat nor am I thin, I'm in between. (I have a very Latino body frame, if that makes sense LOL) However the Coconut oil did the opposite for me. It made me gain weight. So I got off of it. The last thing I want is unwanted body fat to keep my immune system from functioning properly, since most of our immune system is in our gut. But I am also a part of the coconut oil group and I am not the only one who's had this weight gain problem. But when I was on it, it did give me energy and it did make me feel a lot better. I still use it to cook with. I take cats claw now for the immune support now. I will recommend it but I will caution you about the weight gain/Weight loss. Guest guest
I am using coconut oil for cooking and sometimes on sandwiches and such in my food. From everything I have read, it is really good for you, and does boost T cells. I never used it consistently enough to really tell what the benefit was, and in any case have been doing multiple things for my health at the same time. Guest guest
I am using coconut oil for cooking and sometimes on sandwiches and such in my food. From everything I have read, it is really good for you, and does boost T cells. I never used it consistently enough to really tell what the benefit was, and in any case have been doing multiple things for my health at the same time. Guest guest
Hi, I took it and it does makes a difference. We all need the oil to protect our cells also, if you don't have enough fat to protect the cells our body will not be able to fight off many organism. I was recommended to drink coconut milk 12 onces a day but I don't like the taste, and I know it will make me gain weight and I am already heavy set. It helps to keep you strong.
