You simply submit a signed copy of the law, written word for word, and sign it. That's about it! The person Sheri recommended can help you if you have any doubts or more specific questions. In case KY is on your list, the religious exemption here is very easy, too. And home schooling is completely unregulated. Guest guest
, I am in New York and I am in the process of writing a religious exemption letter so my daughter can attend day care 3 days a week. The processis is difficult. It is not easy and there is criteria the state of New York expects a person to meet before they are given a religious exemption. We let the nurse give her the vit k at birth so now we have to explain that in our letter. I actually posted a long emails in this group this past week looking for some support and no one responded.. so lucky you that you are getting feedback. You do not have to be affilated with any church-In NY state the law reads.... shall not apply to children whose parents, or gaurdian .... who hold genuine and sincere religious beliefs.... Of course, in NY they have sincerety testing in the form of face to face interviews and questionaires - subject to the individual school distrcit!! I found a man named Krasner who knows New York vaccine law inside and out and he is helping me....his web site www.CFIC.us and email cfic@... he may know someone in one of the states you are looking for. Don't go by hearsay from anyone... find out the law- good luck, Liz <OhioVaxInfo@...> wrote: We will most likely be relocating in a year or two. I'm researching the home schooling and VBAC status of the state as well, but I found on the Vac Lib website that NC only allows medical or religious exemptions. How does one use the religious exemption if they are not Christian? The sample letter on the Vac Lib site looks like you don't have to have a clergy person's signature which would be a good thing. But would this just cause more trouble for me if they found out I wasn't a Christian person? Guest guest
<<No wiccans I know are evil or drug people. They are healers>> I'm not offended by any of this, but this is part of my point. There are things in the bible that people can point to and say " See, the bible says it's so. " For Pagans/Wiccans/etc. we have no " great text " like that that we can point to. :-/ I fully believe that vaccinations are against everything natural that the Lady and the Lord honor, but just because I says it's so, doesn't mean diddly squat for a religious vaccination exemption. :-) )0(~~~)0(~~~)0( Mom to Brittany, born 08/31/93, dx'd IDDM 05/28/01; , born 06/28/97; Shayna, born 06/01/00; and Thalea, born 06/24/07. Do not sacrifice your child As someone else said, or similar - if you were hiding Jews in your home during the holocaust in Germany, would you just give them up rather than lie?
