That post about the fruit wasn't from me. Read down.... I only made the remark

about JAMA (Journal of American Medical Assoc.). A post was made about not

believing what you read on sites that sell the products...I don't believe

everything I read on science or government sites either and we KNOW doctors

always tell you the truth and ALWAYS know what is right!!!!!!! :o) I just do

lots of research in different areas and then try to form my own opinion, mostly

by listening to people that have this disease....LIKE U!

Looks like they are selling something here...hummmmm

wll be better spent on orange juice fortified with extra calcium which every

woman can use. Alot cheaper to. There are many myths and half truths out there

about the Pomergranet fruit. It just has alot of antioxidents in it like all

fruits. Maybe a little bit more then others. As for others don't believe 70% of

the stuff you read on the internet especially from a site selling the very

product. Read it and do your own research at Pubmed, JAMA, NEJOM etc.

sins,i also chose to believe that fruit can heal threw the grace of God! i chose

to believe that the pomagrante is special, its mentioned in the bible on many

occassions.maybe my faith along with the pomagrante and prayer will all work

Maybe it's happened more than once - because the paper I'm talking about is one in , BC or perhaps you have touch with the website that hosted an event on World Hep Day out of .

The one lady is still arguing that we need to give the news people the true facts or they just make them up as they go. Well, a newspaper from the city pulled that one in a story the day after World Hep Day and they were forced to amend the whole story after the outcry. However, if nothing else, that reporter and perhaps that newspaper will be a lot more likely to check their facts before they report on Hep C again.I remember that Gloria.

Hi Angelo

My GP and I just discussed the possibility that my low viral load 'may' mean that I wasnt infected back when I thought I was.

He didnt try to feed me anything, as like you say, he is just a GP.

I may have been the one to mention it also, not him.

I dont remember as we covered a lot of territory today.

Mostly Im tickled pink that I will finally get in to see a Hdoc, and get some of my real questions answered.

I have been waiting since june 08, a long time.

My Dad never gets sick and is 89 years old, so I may have the same ability to fight off illness, ie: HCV.

Hopefully my viral load stays low, and with the alternative stuff I am doing, maybe I can keep it low.

God knows Im trying.

Your right too, that if I have a low viral load, maybe my chances of clearing are a lot better.

I hope so.

Ive got some help to stop smoking cigs....finally.

Whats great is that Medicaid will pay for it.

Hopefully in a couple of months I can come here and tell everyone....IM FREE.

Then I can start to regenerate and heal.

Today has been a wonderful day, full of hope and positive energy.

I feel like maybe, finally, Im on the up and up.

Your GP doesn't know what he's talking about. He should have said nothing at all instead of feed you bullshit. Your virus load is very low and that is freaken great but your virus load has nothing to do with how long you had the virus and no doctor will be able to tell you that. Your virus load can go from 84,000 this month and in 6 months go up to 5 million. There are people with a viral load like yours who had this 40 years. He's only a GP so take what he says with a grain of salt.

Your low viral load is really great news though and with it that low it is a better chance of clearing. Keep doing what your doing with the supplements and diet. I really hope you take advantage of the medicine for the smoking at really try. You HAVE TO STOP SMOKING. It is madatory for your health. Your lungs will regenerate to. Not like a liver can but they heal up.

Angelo,

In scientific publishing there is a tendency to succumb to all kinds of

influences, especially from the pharmaceutical industry. In these times it is

difficult to know who to trust. Like I said, I read all I can, from where I

can, and form my own opinions. The best info. in my opinion, seems to be from

people who have personal experience with this disease, like the people on this

site.

Most any information you find, other than personal experience has money

connected to it in some way. Even the sites you mention.

And by the way I have my tin foil hat ready, just in case..LOL. (written in caps

BECAUSE I AM LAUGHING OUT LOUD):)

" To extract political leverage? " ........

On January 15, 1999, Dr. Lundberg, Editor of the Journal of the American

Medical Association (JAMA), was summarily fired by Dr. E. Ratcliffe ,

Executive Vice President of the American Medical Association (AMA). At his news

conference announcing the action, Dr. said he sacked Dr. Lundberg

because of a research article 1 about college students’ definition of “having

sex,” which he asserted had been published in a hurry to coincide with the

Clinton impeachment trial, “to extract political leverage” (G. Kolata. New York

Times. January 16, 1999:A1). He also noted that “over time, however, I have lost

confidence in Dr. Lundberg’s ability to preserve that high level of trust and

credibility.”

Lundberg’s firing is important to JGIM readers. Not only do they have their own

journal to safeguard, but many Society of General Internal Medicine (SGIM)

members are, or will be, editors or editorial board members of other journals.

Further, readers of all journals need to understand what it takes to make a

journal sound if readers are to support them effectively.2 Therefore, Lundberg’s

firing should prompt us all to reflect on the nature of editing and the

relationship between medical editors and journal owners.

So you should feel good about it Don !!! I did go researching last night to find if there was any correlation between viral load and time infected. Apparently, there is nothing concrete found about that yet. But, just continue to feel real happy about the viral load because it sure is a lot better than mine was.Gloria

I was thinking the same thing, but then I realized that I have been successful in joining together a small group of friends, family, neighbors, etc, who have had their eyes pried open by my rantings over the past few months. If anything happens, we will have to help and/or rely on our next door neighbors. I've been passing out flyers from www.vaclib.org and from www.Oathkeepers.org just quietly passing the word along.....

I have lots of pictures on my web site and if someone wants themI would be happy that I had someone that liked them enough to helpthemselfs. If you don't want to share you should put your name all overit or lock it in a safe. You can also use water marks too. You can use the no right click on your web site but it won't stopevery one. I save money and don't need to sell my pictures everything I have is paid for including my brand new home on 42 acres. Good luck on suing someone I guess you need your nickles and dimes.CharleyYour an ass. Ress didn't deserve your comment. She just posted the truth and what the law states regarding copyright. Why should she let someone use her photos. She's a photographer. Didn't you read her post? Big shit you got a brand new home and 42 acres. When you die you can't take it with you. You should apologize. Your wrong and eveyone here should tell him..

I absolutely apologize for making the nasty comment but I think your comment saying "good luck suing someone. I guess you need your nickle and dimes" was alot more mean spirited. I understand Don and it won't happen again.

Debbie hang in there. My son Caleb is six and still has a very limited diet. He mimmicks his dad. He will grab food from his dad's plate and try it but if it's in my plate forget it. He will start to eat more foods but he probably will always have a limited diet. Just keep offering him to take a bite and one day he may surprise you. lol

I just want to thank everyone for all the suggestions and the input. I will try several of the suggestions and let you know how it turns out. This group is a blessing,I hope you all know that! I've been a very lonely Mimi, with no one to talk to about my grandson,at least no one who understood. I also have another question..lol..how in the world do you get a child to eat when all they want is letter shaped tator tots??? Ethan would eat just about anything when he was a little baby but when he turned a year and a half it started to be a problem. Now that he's just turned four he has a very limited diet, simply because he won't eat what's offered,he just runs to the toaster oven and says"time for letters!" He'll eat some fruit, used to like corn but doesn't want it on his plate anymore and he'll eat alphabits cereal(do you see a common thread here? lol ). Thanks again,Debbie

You'll get some good suggestions from several on the List; , Stacie, , Sharon, and

e or just a few who are very good at giving suggestions and help. I'm sorry I don't have

any suggestion. My 17 year old grandson at that age wouldn't eat anything but peeled weiners.

I didn't do anything, but cook the weiners and put a couple of other things on the plate. I never

made an issue. Today he eats everything!!!

Some have had some serious problems with the eating that continued to be a problem, but I don't

remember now who they were. Hopefully, you'll hear from them. Good luck. Love and blessings, Pat K

Debbie,

has a very limited diet but we have managed to add a few things by having him take a bite before he got the food he wanted. We just kept making the "bite" bigger until it was a serving. This helped with some things but if they made him gag I wouldn't pursue it. Have you though of arranging his food into letters. You could make all the peas into an O and the cut up meat into a T or something. You may actually be able to add to the foods he likes by cutting them into letter shapes. If this worked and he was eating a more "typical" diet you could start phasing it out slowly by almost making the letters or "forgetting" to cut things into a shape or even cutting all but one then all but two etc. I hope you find something that works for him. For us the key is to go slowly and make very small changes. Kellie

Steve,

Read your post and have a few questions. Was the relationship strained and

stressful between you and your wife? I have read numerous articles on stress and

its negative affects on health so I do agree that there is a correlation there.

I know with my own RA it started after an extremely stressful year I went thru.

I am not saying that stress is the only reason to cause RA. I do believe there

are lots of other factors that can play a role in immune disorders but it

certainly can contribute to the whole series of breakdowns of the system.

Dear AP group,

I've been monitoring this group for many years. I've watched many of you

suffer while you have tried all sorts of different concoctions without

significant improvement

I was diagnosed with RA over 30 years ago. I tried conventional therapy first

with only moderate gains in pain managment but the crippling continued.

Eventually, the anti-inflammatory drugs and prednisone caused some serious and

life threatening symptoms. The most serious was vascular disease which in turn

caused pulmanary emboli, hematoma, and stroke.

For some time now I have lived in a considerably diminished capacity, and on a

very modest Social Security pension. I have been home (the place where I grew

up) taking care of my aging parents while my wife of 38 years is going on with

her life in my absence.

While we've been apart, I've noticed a considerable improvement in my physical

and mental condition. I no longer have a need for blood pressure meds nor

anti-depressants. I still take an anti-coagulant but I've noticed a diminished

need for those too.

What I'd like to suggest is that you take a very close look into your

personal life to see if that might be one of the causes for your illness.

Steve
