Jan,

That sounds really strange to me. I would want some more lab work done

if I were you. It can happen that some people do clear the virus but if

you have scarring, I would want to have a second oppion.... I pray that

the Dr. is right, but I personally would need to hear it again and maybe

again...... Anything is possible Jan!!!!! Look out -dz-... Jan and I

are coming to get you...... LOL......

There is a certain amount of damage which can be reversed. But it is limited. I would just follow through with a little more testing to verify these things. -dz-

Just make sure they are not basing their statements on ALT/AST liver enzymes alone. Those tests can be misleading. Since you've already had a liver biopsy, I would at least make sure to get the PCR test done again and then if the virus is undetectable. Time to put on the party hat!!! -dz-

Jan you let us know right away..... This is wonderful if its so.... I guess so many have their bodies defeat it....That would be an answer to prayer. Re: [ ] (unknown) Ok everyone I need some advice here..I went to my liver Dr today..In Feb. when I had bloodwork done they wanted me back on tx remember?? Well I took bloodwork in June without ever getting back on tx..Today when I went he said the bloodwork shows NO signs of Hep C..Now how can that happen?? I was not on tx for over a year about right?? How can it just disappear??Then said there's about a 2% chance of it returning...Something just doesn't sound right..I know one thing I'm going for more bloodwork somewhere else..Maybe there was a mistake in the results..My hubby is all excited but I'm all confused..

Bob, in your e-mail the other day, you asked if anyone had a reaction to the amiodarone...wanted to let you know i take it, and react severely to the sun..i can get quite a burn on my arms just from driving. When i am out in the sun, it feels like little pin-pricks when i start to fry..i totally sympathize with bacon now!!!

Anyway, i use 45 spf and stay out of the sun..seems to alleviate the problem! So, i am a lovely shade of pale ivory..but it makes me look delicate..(half albino is more like it!!) I did try that spray on tan that you can get at salons...that was an experience!! Stripped me naked..covered my hair, put me in a booth, and sprayed self tanner all over me with these steel-like hoses (like the ones in a car wash)...and wha-lah!!! I looked like i had rolled around in mustard, of course the advertisement said i would look like i spent a week in Aruba, but i looked more like Miss Plochmans (a brand of mustard for those of you who are anti-mustard)

Another interesting experience!!! Bob you had no idea such a little question would lead to this...i keep telling myself there is such a thing as TOO MUCH INFORMATION......ohh some day i will learn to figure itout!!

Glad to hear you are a bronzed god...bet you look smashin on your boat, flyin down the lake/river/pond/puddle...

have fun and be careful!

Hi !!! Nice to meet you and i am sorry to hear that you react the same way...my Doc told me that there was a possibility that the amiodarone could give my skin a lovely bluish hue...after long term use and a my dosage..so i guess the color of red we become isn't so bad!!!!

Tell me why do u take it...and about yourself...i am trying to learn more about this great group i have found myself associated with...

If you ever need to talk...give me a holler!

Hi ,

I get the same reaction when I am in the sun. I absolutly hate it. I

continually find myself at a ballgame, at a picnic, anything that is outside,

without my sunscreen. I turn bright red in minutes. I feel like Violet on

Charlie and the Choc. Factory. (the little girl that turned purple, but I turn

red). I guess I should be grateful that I live in Vermont....we don't really

have a hot season.

the sun at all...years ago i had to do chemotherapy and with those meds i

became intolerant of the sun. i had to move back to pa from florida

it got so bad...

i do have purple blotches on my chest,,,,i think it is the beginning of

me becoming a giant smurf. doc says that is normal...... the one

side effect i do have is the halo around lights at night..

Hi Bob,

I have funky vision problems too. Of course my doctors swears it has nothing

to do with the amiodarone. Maybe he would believe me if I told him I couldn't

see his doctors bills clearly.......didn't it say " no charge " .

Nice to meet you, but since I have been here so long, I feel I already know

you. I think the prom would be to far for me to travel, but I would truly

enjoy a picture of Turk and yourself.
