,

There is a test (unscientific) you can do to determine

if you have a Candida/fungal problem. . .

The first thing in the morning, before you put

anything in your mouth, spit (est. tablespoon) in a

glass of water. Let it sit for 15 minutes. . . If it's

clear, no problem.

However, if there is a milky blob, with tendrils

hanging down, or if there are chunks floating in the

water, or if there's a milky blob sunken to the

bottom, you probably have a fungal problem.

This test will give you a good idea of how long you

have to adhere to a strict diet. While it's not

scientific, it does track really well on how carefully

you manage your diet. . . . and it's free!

It came from the folks who sell a probiotic called

" Three Lac " . . . Personally, I don't think their

product is nearly as good as Primal Defense though! .

.. They promise a 30 day cure! . . .It doesn't seem to

work that way for us!

If you soak beans in water overnight and then dump the water in the morning,

and cook in fresh water, you have less of a chance of getting gas. By

soaking, you eliminate the phytic acid that causes gas.

the soil they were grown in.

. . .

Personally, I believe that when one reacts so strongly

to something, it's an indication that it was REALLY

needed! . . .

My approach is to go back and start over with a lower

dose, a shorter time, etc. . . easing into detoxing

programs can make all the difference.

For instance, if you try the foot pads, do it when you

can rest the next day . . . If you have a reaction,

shorten the time you leave the pads on the next time .

.. . and use them on alternate days.

Read up on the Herximer effect . . . Herxing can make

you feel really ill . . . when in fact, you're

clearing toxins that will help you get better. Some

people herx badly to many things. Kathy is one of

them. . .

You'll have to learn how to read your body. . . A

little herx is desirable . . .but a big one will deter

you from trying again. . . It's all about finding your

balance and maintaining it.

Kenda,

I know you've been studying natural healing for quite a while, and I

was wondering if you've used or have learned about MethylCobalamin B-

12? It's been recommended that I take it.

Have you tried making smoothie's like the recipe in The Maker's Diet? I put in maybe 1/2 cup of cherries which are pretty low in sugar. You can also use blueberries. Smoothies really have stopped my sugar cravings.

Are you putting anything in your smoothies to make them taste better? Fruit and WHAT?

, I had an aweful reaction to the "ion foot bath' also. My ankles hurt for days after the appointment. The spa where I had it done had never heard of anyone hurting from it. I quit them and fear trying them again. I do know they work great for detoxing, but the pain is horrid. I have tried the foot detoxing pads that Rogene suggested. They are fine. I have had no problem with them. They stink horribly and very sticky. I am not sure if they are really taking out any toxins, but I don't have any problem with pain or any other symptoms. oh yeah! for 5 minutes, there sure was a LOT of stuff! However, Dr. Kolb said the removal of heavy metals wouldn't give me a detox reaction. She said, if anything, it pulls out a lot of minerals in the process. She thinks that for, some reason, my electrolyte balance is WAY off! I supplement with electrolyte mixes, as well as vitamin and minerals... so i don't know WHAT else to do!

Rogene, No, I had saline. McGhan textured. I couldn't get the sticky stuff off my feet with water either. I ended up waiting for it to dry and I rubbed it off. The stuff beaded up and fell off. I sent two to be tested and I am still waiting to hear from them. Rogene S <saxony01@...> wrote: . . . I'm sorry, I don't remember . . . were your implantssilicone gel? . . . Hi Kenda,

I did do some searching on the web. Here's something I recently

found:

Benefits of Methylcobalamin B-12

Supports a healthy nervous system.

Lifts mood

Improves mental clarity

Supports emotional balance

Supports healthy cardiovascular function.

Reduces homocysteine

Increases stamina

Cuts risk of heart disease

Several investigations have shown

vitamin B12 levels decline with age. Too

little vitamin B12 may impair nerve function,

leading to pins-and-needles sensations, or a

burning feeling in the feet, less clear vision,

as well as impaired mental function.

It is important to know that B12 may benefit

joints and mood.

I wonder how it differs from regular B12? Here is a blurb on B12 from my

text:

Essential for production of red blood cells. Prevents pernicious anemia and

promotes growth in children. Aids body in utilization of proteins, fats and

carbs. Transports and stores folate in cells. Keeps nervous system

healthy, involved in production of they myelin sheath, insulates nerves.

Needed to produce nucleic acid, used to produce DNA. Involved in converting

homocysteine to methionine.

Used for psychiatric and nervous disorders, restore appetite, vigor and

energy, atherosclerosis and lung cancer.

Absorption and storage

50% of dietary B12 absorbed, decreases w/age. Most adults over 50 need B12.

Absorption in intestine requires intact stomach, intrinsic factor and

pancreatic sufficiency. Intrinsic factor is glycoprotein produced by

stomach walls.

Pernicious anemia intrinsic factor is lacking. Irreversible neurological

damage if untreated.

Stores between 0.6 3.9 mg, excretion proportionate to stored levels

(between 1 and 2% of total stored). Total absorption increases with

increased intake. B12 is secreted in bile but most is reabsorbed when there

are adequate levels of intrinsic factor. Smoking reduces B12 absorption

because of high cyanide component of cigarettes.

Vegetarians need supplements.

Deficiency symptoms

Difficult to distinguish from folate which includes tiredness, mental

fatigue, nervousness, premature gray hair, lemon yellow complexion, tongue

sore and thin, soreness at corner of mouth, absence of hydrochloric acid in

stomach, poor appetite and grown in children.

Extreme spinal cord degenerates, tingling and numbness and paralysis.

Walking and speaking occur. Cognitive changes, concentration problems and

memory loss, disorientation, dementia and mood swings. Used for postnatal

depression.

HIV twice as likely to develop AIDS if B12 deficiency

Dose

50-100 mcg

Kenda,

I think regular B-12 isn't absorbed as well, and I think regular B-

12 converts to this Methyl B-12 in your body, but not to the extent

that it does any good. That's my uneducated understanding!

That, I don't know. I drink BioPure, which is considered by Dr. Leu to be

the highest absorbed whey protein available. Here is an except below from

Dr. Ron's website at myhealthfirst.com. If you have any questions, you can

BioPure Protein is a bioactive, pure whey protein concentrate with naturally

occurring immunoglobulins. It supplies an array of valuable constituents

including proteins, minerals, and enzymes. It is ideal nutritional support

for individuals who wish to add high quality protein and immunoglobulins to

their diet to help promote optimal health and well-being.

Features Benefits of BioPure Protein Vital Roles of Protein &

Immunoglobulins Ingredients Recipes

Features: Highest Biological value protein Concentrated, bioactive

immunoglobulins Clinically tested, well tolerated Versatile, easy to use

Supports healthy muscle mass Supports a healthy immune system and intestinal

function

The Benefits of BioPure Protein

Concentrated Immunoglobulins

BioPure Protein supplies a high concentration of naturally occurring,

bioactive immunoglobulins (antibodies) along with the protein.

Immunoglobulins are a vital component of the immune response and may help

support healthy intestinal function. This in turn helps the body utilize

BioPure Protein to help maintain and gain lean body mass. The immunoglobulin

bioactivity in BioPure Protein is consistent from batch to batch, due to the

proprietary process by which it is derived.

A Source of Glutathione

BioPure Protein is a superb source of cysteine and glutamine, a key free

radical scavenger in the body. Glutathione also plays an important role in

white blood cell protection and function.

Clinically Tested

The protein and immunoglobulin concentrate in BioPure Protein has been

tested in numerous preliminary studies and has been shown to be well

tolerated. It is currently being analyzed in a double-blind, multicenter

study funded by the National Institutes of Health.

A Multi-Patented Process

BioPure Protein is prepared by utilizing a patented

ultrafiltration/diafiltration process that concentrates the whey protein and

bioactive immunoglobulins. It is processed at controlled temperatures and pH

to prevent the protein from denaturing (becoming inactive). The protein

content is increased to approximately 80%, while fat is reduced to less than

10%. Although whey protein concentrate could be manufactured with protein

concentrations greater than 90%, over-processing has been shown to denature

important proteins. BioPure Protein is supplied in powder form, as opposed

to a premixed liquid, to stabilize the nutrients and the bioactivity of the

protein and immunoglobulins without using preservative.

A " Pristine " Source of Whey

The whey in BioPure Protein is obtained from the milk of a dairy head in New

Zealand, one of only two " pristine herds " worldwide. " Pristine " means free

from disease, injected hormones, hyperimmunization, genetic alteration, and

environmental contamination.

Applications of BioPure Protein

BioPure Protein is a convenient source of protein and immunoglobulins for

people wanting to improve general health and support their immune system. It

is suitable for children, the elderly, and athletes, as well as those who

lead a busy lifestyle and find it difficult to eat a healthy, balanced diet.

It helps many users maintain and gain weight, and is ideally suited to

improve lean muscle mass.

When physiologic demands increase the body's protein requirement, or

supplemental immunoglobulins are desired, BioPure Protein is an excellent

choice.

Vital Roles of Protein & Immunoglobulins:

Proteins are fundamental to all forms of life. Owing to the almost infinite

variety of their possible structures, proteins play incredibly diverse roles

in all facets of human physiology. Immunoglobulins are proteins that are

essential to a healthy immune response.

Immune System

Proteins play a fundamental role in the functioning of the immune system.

The body manufactures thousands of immune enhancing proteins known as

immunoglobulins, or antibodies, which are vital for a balanced, healthy

immune response. Immunoglobulins are found in high quantities in mother's

milk. Nursing newborns ingest them to provide their system with what is

known as " passive immunity " .

Intestinal Health

The cells of the intestinal lining are replaced every few days, requiring

readily available, high quality protein for their synthesis. A healthy

intestinal lining enables the body to absorb protein and other essential

nutrients and keeps undesirable substances from being absorbed into the

circulation. Additionally, immunoglobulins help to promote a healthy

intestinal tract by helping maintain the balance between " friendly " and

" unfriendly " bacteria.

Growth & Maintenance of Tissues

Proteins are used to build and maintain every tissue in the body. From the

developmental demands of childhood to maintaining the integrity of our

tissues as we age, proteins are indispensable.

Other Essential Roles

Proteins provide the building blocks for the synthesis of enzymes, hormones,

and nucleo-proteins. Certain proteins transport oxygen, while others

facilitate muscle contraction. Many vitamins and minerals are bound to

specific protein carriers that facilitate their absorption. In fact,

proteins play a vital role in virtually every structural, metabolic, and

physiologic process necessary for overall health and well-being.

A Technological Breakthrough

Through a breakthrough in processing technology, a high quality, bioactive

protein/immunoglobulin concentrate called BioPure Protein is now available.

This processing method utilizes patented ultrafiltration techniques at

controlled temperature and pH levels to prevent the protein and

immunoglobulins from denaturing (becoming inactive). Cutting edge analytical

technology is used to verify not only the quantity but also the bioactivity

of the immunoglobulins in the product.

Product Quality

Whey protein concentrate is believed to be the highest quality protein

available. It has the highest utilization rate of any protein, supplies all

essential and non-essential amino acids, and is an excellent source of the

amino acids necessary for new cell growth. The immunoglobulins are present

in high concentrations and in their naturally occurring ratios.

Thanks . . .

I'm really anxious to find out what the stuff is! . .

.. Hopefully they'll go beyond their standard testing

list! . . .

It reminded me of an old pair of silicone soled shoes

that I hadn't worn in years . . . When I did put them

on, the rubber had degraded so badly that they stuck

fast to the tile floor. I couldn't lift my foot -

until a sole broke loose from the shoe . . . Even then

I had to use a solvent to get it off the tile. It was

that same kind of stubborn stickiness.

Processing of sour milk removes much of the casein, I know

that. Yogurt contains much less than unprocessed milk, as the

protein is broken down. So, I would think that much would be broken

down in whey. I think the casein is more a problem for me than the

lactose. I can take lactaid for that, but cannot take anything for

the casein. That, apparently, is a big problem for me.

Rogene, You described it to a tee. I know Dr. Feng explained that my body was breaking off the textured pieces of the silicone shell and taking it away from the breast area. I could only imagine where it is. After hearing talk about silicone in her lymph node, I know where a majority of mine it. My kinesiologist does meridian stress tests and before my explant it showed every organ system in my body was grossly under stress and inflamed. Now just four months, it shows they are all minimally under stress except my lymph system is still extremely under stress. I can see that my lymphs is probably where the majority of my silicone is stashed. I will let you know what the tests show. Rogene S <saxony01@...> wrote: Thanks . . . Just because texture shell doesn't mean there is no mold or fungus. I don't agree with that part of the issue, if that is what you think. If you go to www.plastikos.com she explains some about textured implants.
