I went to the pain doc yesterday and told him how much pain I was in after the

bilateral radiofrequency ablation. He put me on

Neuronton(gabapentin) with my oxycodones. Anybody have an opinion on Neuronton?

Any advice will be appreciated. My pain has been running between 7-10 since that

procedure.

Thanks Janice..I am hoping they will help with my blood pressure,which has been

spiking alot lately. My dad died of a heart attack at age 52, and I'm 43..so I

am quite paranoid sometimes with my high BP. I have only taken 1 pill so far and

I feel a bit " foggy "

Some people have great luck with Nuerontin while others think they are in a

nightmare when they take it. I was on it for only 7 days then I was talking to

myself. I felt like I jsut wasn't there. So I quit but give it a try it might

work very well for you just watch out for side effects.

I was approved the first time I applied…was approved at age 35 within 8 weeks

of application.

I just turned 60 but had to have 4 stents in my heart last March my family is

prone to heart problems so I saw it coming and got to the doctor in time. I have

had high blood pressure most of my adult life until March when my doctor finally

took it seriously and gave me a drug that now keeps it at 120/70 which is

perfect. To bad it wasn't done years ago. Some pain drugs can raise your blood

pressure. That hapened to me a couple of times before it went up really high and

didn't come down until the meds were changed one of them was codine. The

Nuerontin is a tricky drug some people can take it with no problem while

others(like me) cannot even take the smallest amount. Beware it can also cause

weight gain if you tend to gain weight easily.

It didn't help me that much but it made me walk into walls and couldn't remember

my own name.
