Ty looked into getting tickets but they sold out really early.... Are you and the girls going....if so have fun... what ever Mike can get ...that would be great...Bob still is telling everyone about all the stuff we got and where we sat....thanks to Mike.... Oh well ....have so much to catch up on...figured I would do it today...not nice outside to work in the gardens ...sooooo that means HouseWork....LOL...that is why I am sitting here writing to my friends and catching up on group mail....and still have to finish painting the garden sign for Mom for her garden for Mothers Day.... Ohhhh guess what ....The Ragtimers are playing tonight at the BlueClaws game ....thats the minor league team in Lakewood....baseball...should be fun...just some entertainment in the lobby.....I guess...lol... Ty was supposed to go to a game there last night with the bosses only from GA...his dept...but he chose to hang out with this girl ....Bridgette...she worked with him last summer and came back this summer so they have been hanging out....we will see where this goes....He tends to not let them get too close because he doesn't want to have to tell them about himself and why he is in the hosp ...etc...so we will see.... take care and tell Mike and the girls we all say...HI.... Love ya sis.. Luanne Ty's mom
Guest guest Report post Posted January 7, 2003 Hi Joan: I read your daughter Noel had to have umbilical hernia surgery. I was glad to hear she came through with flying colors. Jodi has an appointment to see the doctor about hers the 17th. It was discovered a couple of months a go when she was in the hospital. They said it would have to be taken care of but we didn't even know she had it. Well, last week it started sticking out where you can feel in with your finger. Of course this freaked her out so she wants to have it removed right away. After seeing the doctor she will have to talk to Dr. Neff in Miami to see what he says. Did Noel have it done as out pt. surgery? Genny/Jodi's Mom Living Donor Transplant 5-18-
Guest guest Report post Posted January 7, 2003 Genny, Jodi is in good hands, as I don't need to tell you. I love Dr. Neff, what an intelligent sensitive man (not to mention good looking) he did my biopsy last Thursday. Tell Jodi I am thinking about her and a hernia after a transplant is a piece of cake. Guest guest Report post Posted March 6, 2003 Hi Joan: Hope this finds you doing well. The doctor said he wouldn't touch Jodi's hernia with a ten foot pole. We also called Miami and they said the same thing. She is not to strain or lift heavy things. Thank you very much for asking. Take care, Genny
Guest guest Report post Posted January 22, 2004 Joan, If your dr. is refusing to do other tests, then it's time to look for a new doc. You could have Hashimoto thyroiditis or one of any other t-roid disorders out there. It's your life and your body! I urge you to look for new medical help. Barb hendersonteacher <hendersonteacher@...> wrote: I felt good on the synthroid for the first 4 weeks. Week 6, I developed heart palpitations. I have not taken it for 2 weeks but have done a lot of reading about the nutritional aspects of thyroid. My TSH did go down in the 6 weeks. I will be trying the nutritional helps and see what happens. Dr. refused to look at anything except TSH. TSH was the only test which showed I might need treatment. Joan > Aha! The key to the puzzle. I'm doing the Synthroid regimen right now. Only been on for a little more than a month.

Guest guest Report post Posted August 20, 2009 Hi Joan, I didn't have Chemo, just Radiation. I'll take a look at this GI Revive. You might also need some digestive enzymes. Coconut Oil will help greatly with digestion, will help ALSO with hormonal issues, the way you feel in general, your sleeping ability, thyroid performance, energy levels and on and on..... Also Cold pressed Whey Protein is very valuable. I'm sure Duncan will tear this reply of mine apart and find something wrong with it. Bonnie
Guest guest Report post Posted January 28, 2010 Hi Joan I had my TKR on September 22 2009. My knee is stiff after I have been sitting for a while. I can walk it out pretty fast, but it will still be stiff the next time I get up to walk. My OS told me this is normal for 6 months to 1 year. My knee is not as swollen as when I first had the surgery, but it is still swollen. Again, they said 6 months to a year. Once I walk the stiffness out, I can walk as far as I want without any pain. My ROM last measured was 120. My Surgeon has told me he does not need to see me again until next September when I will be a year out. Dorie Madsen I can't follow who is a hip and who is a knee. as a knee, after almost 6 weeks, I can get up from a no arm chair as well as almost everything else. However, I still have stiffness and swelling. I am getting rather tired if that. I go to PT three times a week, and have achieved 110 degrees of flex. You really should get to PT Lynn. I have continued to do my exercises at home and walk as much as I can. Are you able to get up from a chair that has no arms? That's one thing I still can't do.
