Amy,

I am 20 minutes from the Washington Township in Bergen County. I do

know that there is another WT somewhere I think south too. Where are

you? I am by Rutherford, Secaucus, anywhere by you?

Amy ,

Isn't that funny that there are two Wash. Twp. I wonder how that

happened. No we are not close to each other. I do have a second home

in South Jersey. Thats in Lavallette....15 minutes from Point Pleasant

and 5 min. from Seaside Heights.

Luanne (Ty's mom) and I were able to meet this summer down the shore.

Do you go to the beach?

Joan,

I don't know if you are the right Joan? I read someone's post which said

they had AIH for a longer time and they were glad to meet someone who also

had AIH a long time. I was just curious to see the length of time she had

this. But, what a coincidence I was also diagnosed 11-98, it was the Monday

before Thanksgiving I remember it all to well. Thank you.

Hi Amy,

It was me. I only have AIH as long as you but was very excited to speak

to someone who has had this for a long time. I am the kind of person

who wants to know what I am up against in the long term.

Yes we do share the same anniversary month....I started my flu like

symptons Thanksgiving night.

Hi there

Are you as tired as me...this trying to keep up with the Giants, the

Jets...what a game....were you all there....the Yankees and the Mets....I am

exhausted....I need to just get back to football....I also like college

football...Notre Dame being my favorite...but I watch what ever is going to

be a good game ...when I can...

If the Yankees win then Ty gets to do the ticker tape parade again...did it

last year....

But I am a Met fan from back in the 60's when Eddie Cranpoole was first

base....They are my team...my dad and I used to go to the games together...my

brother was never interested...so it is when I got my dad to myself.....Then

of course the 69 METS...The yr I graduated HS...I know ...were you even born

yet....Don't get fresh with me....LOL

and then again in 86 when I got my whole family into the SERIES CRAZE,,,,This

house was jumping....Took all the kids to some of the games...Dani's favorite

was ....and Trav and Ty were DARRRTLLLL fans....through

Childrens Hosp( was then the patient there) we got tickets to see them

play the Phillys in Philly....The whole family went...and because we were

there for the hosp we got to go down and meet a Met before the game.....We

walk in the room and there is Daryl Strawberry....I had trouble getting my

boys eyes back in their head...they had their mitts and he signed them....and

then took pictures with him....Tyler was about 3....he was sitting on his lap

and looking up at him like.....WOW....so cute....For months Ty would only

answer to us if we called him " Daryl Strawberry " ...too funny....I always said

Ty was a goof....such a great memory....

Then our seats were right over right field so he got to yell at him all

day....what a riot...

Well now that I have gone down " Memory Lane " with you I will ...GO...

Need to finish dinner and get ready for the game....

Luanne Ty's mom

PS...Mom is going in for more surgery on friday...she is having her leg

amputated....this has got to stop at some point...I hope this is the end of

the suffering and the begining of living again for her....she has been such a

fighter.....

I am OUT of here

Hi ,

My daughter has done wonderful, she is walking with a walker already...the

doctors are amazed at her progress...they think she will be able to return to

work in 3 months, much different from the year they orginially told her.

Thank you for asking...

Hi Carolyn, No Sweetie, I was just telling some one how to unsubscribe. I am

still here...just been very laid back...just been more tird then

usual....getting old and feeble....LOL...

*******************************

To Everyone,

Since I last posted, which has been a long time, I have had a endoscopy. I

now have ulcers on my throat...joy. joy, joy, my Prilosec was increased, so

now I am a happy camper...LOL... I also had a test for liver cancer, which I

am happy to share ....the counts were normal...has any one else had this

test...I also have to have mammograms every 6 mos now....so far they cyst

have not changed but it seems the Immuran and Actigall can have a negative

effect on them....LOL...I think a man who hates women invented the way

mammograms are done....LOL....just a little sick humor....

I also went to Dr Schiff, my hepatologist, everything is about the same, he

has added PBC to my diseases now...what the hay....just one more challange, I

now take 13 different prescibed medications, but have cut back on herbs and

vitamins.

That is about it for now...everyone keep posting...stay happy and

positive....we can beat this if we laugh, love and live...

Love ya'll, have a great day, remember to laugh all day. Laughter is music to

the heart and very healing. Soooooo, laugh a lot, love a lot, and be healthy,

Hi Joan...I see that you saw Dr. Schiff; was this at UM? I know the

endoscopy was not fun, I've had one to verify varices. I send my prayers

and love to you, remain positive.

Oh Joan, I do hope you can go to the super bowl. That will be such a wonderful experience (especially if the right team wins). Hunt will also be in Tampa, but he will be attending things for the gasperilla festival and the super bowl but not the games. I do wish you luck

Hi Joan: Could you please tell me if there is a group for ITP (Immune

Thrombocytopenic Purpura) My mother was diagnosed with this in June and is

being referred to Moffitt Cancer Center by her oncologist. I'm glad she is

going for a second opinion because they want to take her spleen out and the

Hepatologist on the transplant team in Miami said what ever I do don't let

them do that. This is a lot like AIH being it is an immune disease that they

don't know much about and is treated with Prednisone. Having two members of

my immediate family on Prednisone isn't an easy task. I feel awful about

saying this but I hate to talk to my mother because she is so depressed and

brings me down while I'm trying to stay positive for Jodi. Guess I need to

say more prayers. If you have any information about this group please post

it for me. Thanks, take care and God bless. Genny/Jodi's Mom/ AIH

Joan: Florida had beautiful weather for you at the Super Bowl. I am way

behind on my e-mail and I just read where you were going to it. I live about

one and a half hrs. from Tampa. Hope you had a great time. Genny

Oh, dear. I am sorry. Lucky you're tough, but I wish you didn't have to be.

Hi Joan, You mentioned that you see Dr. Schiff in Miami and he is

wonderful, you trust him. Have you met Dr. Reddy? I sure would LOVE to

find a wonderful, trustworthy doctor. I pulled the biographies on both

these guys, and they are both very qualified...trust in you doctor can make

such a difference in how YOU help to heal your illness. Blessings to you.
