Sandy,

I have had wonderful results from 's supplement list. It has

been a tedious process but my thyroid is functioning normal now. I

could have acheived these results quicker if I had done the hair

analysis sooner but like you I was mildly hyperT, so I thought I

could easily fix the problem based on the info on Ithyroid.com. I

thank God daily for my renewed health and for 's help.

hi Deb when you started with the copper, how much did you take and for how

long? Rereading 's Getting Starting it looks like he is saying to take iron

simultaneously with the copper. Is that what you did?

Sandy,

I do not have Graves either. Currently, I am taking only a

multiple vitamin (Daily One by Twinlabs) and 10 mg manganese in the

morning and 1000mg Calcium/500 Magnesium at night. However, it took

me about 10 months to get to this point. I have not felt this well

in many years, so I guess 10 months is not such a long time.

Yes, copper helped me tremendously. When I received my hair

analysis, it showed that I was very low in copper so I started

the " Getting Started " suggestions under the " Hyperthyroid " section

on the Ithyroid.com site. Before I had the hair analysis done, I

was supplementing based on my symptoms. This method only kept me out

of balance because getting balanced is much too complex to use that

method.

Hope this helps.

Deb,

Which lab did you use for the hair analysis? And did someone specifically

get back to you, or did you just receive a lab report?

At 11:42 AM 9/9/2003, you wrote:

,

I used Anamol Lab in Canada. If you look on the website it is #6

listed. The price is now $50. I received a report; no one

contacted me, and was not at that time able to respond to hair

analyses privately. He may respond now but I don't know.

Sandy,

I started out with 2 mg of Cu but quickly went to 6mg...at that

point I started feeling better. It took me at least a month before

I could tolerate any iron and even then I could only take 4 1/2 mg

of iron. What says is, " Failure to commence iron

supplementation >>>once copper starts getting replenished<<< can

lead to iron deficiency and iron-deficiency anemia. Notice he

says, " once copper starts getting replenished. "

I also took 25 mg Niacin (increased this to 50mg in a few weeks)

200 mg B1

100 mg B2

6 mg Boron

150 mg Molybdium

1000 mg Calcium

500 mg Magnesium

I recommend ( may recommend it also some where) that you take

the Calcium and Magnesium before bed.

Sheila,

I may be wrong, but I thought New Chapter and Rainbow Light had soy in them.

Almost sure...

thanks for the info, Tina. I tried Vit. C once but it

never did anything for me. I was just taking one a day

though on an empty stomach. I later found out that's

why it wasn't being absorbed. I'll try hitting the C

and see if it helps.

I wanted to let you know I finally bought a supplement

at the health food store. It was kind of expensive but

I can buy it cheaper online.

It's called New Chapter Every Woman's One Daily. It's

a whole-food probiotic multi-vitamin, mineral & herbal

complex. I also got a calcium/magnesium/vit D combo

called Rainbow Light Just 1 Once Food-Based Calcium. I

also have Vit. E & C.

I spent an hour choosing these. I'll get the B's, a

food based digestive enzyme and some chromium

picolinate later.

I'm glad I finally did it!! Thanks so much for your

help!!! Sheila

this is what I found regarding New Chapter. Rainbow light does have soy as

well:

+Probiotic Nutrientsâ„¢ exclusively from New Chapter, are created by the

two-stage culturing activity of nutritional yeast and three species of

lactobacillus; acidophilus, bifidus, and rhammosus. These beneficial

probiotics culture the listed vitamins, minerals, and certified organic

whole soy flour and food concentrates, creating 100% whole-food nutrients

that are remarkably easy to digest and utilize, while simultaneously

offering naturally occurring phytonutrients such as soy isoflavones, beta

glucans, bioflavonoids, SOD, glutathione, lipoic acid and enzymes.

I take Women's One Daily by Dailyfoods. They are also whole food.... I

believe that getting nutrients from organic foods is better than synthetic

vitamins.... good luck,

Hi , Thanks for the info! I was looking at the

DailyFood products. The one you take and the other one

a day supplements contain iodine which I also need to

avoid. Otherwise, they look great!

It is such a pain trying to find the right one!!!

Check out NOW products. Now has high quality supplements that do not have corn,

wheat, etc. in them and are reasonably priced. I buy all of my supplements from

NOW now :)

-------------- Original message --------------

I am looking for all the supplements I need for the candida diet. If

anyone wants to help me out with some brand names of ones that have

helped you, I would very much appreciate it. I need them to be

gluten, dairy, soy, corn, sugar and starch free. I would guess that

is the same for everyone here. Also, where you ordered from, if you

had to order.

I have checked Iherb and I think I have found the Naturals Factors

Vitamin C. It does not say it is gluten free, though. Only wheat

free. That is a red flag in the gluten community to take something

that only reads wheat free.

I need a better magnesium because the one I have won't let me take

enough to get rid of my cramps before " D " happens. I am taking a

powder that disolves in water but is magnesium citrate. I have read

that glycinate is better.

Need another calcium. The one I have disolves in water but it is a

combination of carbonate and citrate. I need just citrate for better

absortion as told to me after a kinesiology test.

The other supplements I am open on as I have not checked them out.

Thanks for any and all help,

Del

I would concur. A local grocery/health food store here carries just about

everything NOW Foods makes, including their virgin coconut oil and their

vitamins. Great stuff! (Note, I'm not connected with NOW Foods, just a

happy customer).

rep at the store should be able to call for you. It would be

unlikely that Vit. C would contain any gluten except in binders, but

it's good to double check anyhow.

Natural Factors) so I can regulate it.

think?

==>That's a good idea to have them in lemonade because it helps

absorption. You might try taking smaller doses of cal/mag more

frequently. But were you trying to take 1,200 mgs. of calcium or

more? I think that was too much, even though I know it is

recommended by a lot of others. Too much cal or mag can also cause

cramps. If you have symptoms on your left side it indicates too

little or too much calcium; symptoms on your right side indicates too

little or too much magnesium.

==>Maybe try experimenting with cal/mag, starting with only 350 mgs.

of each per day for a few days. If you still get symptoms take

another dose of 175 mgs. for a few days, and so on.

The best to you Del,

I had my blood test checked last week, these are the results after 2 months on

the candida diet.

hymoglobin: March 117 - June 120

Iron: March 13 - June 16

Ferrotin: March 5 - June 3

Doctor wants me to take two iron pills per day plus eating liver 3 times a

week. My period stopped two years ago and still my iron is not going up no

Yes, Bee. I'm taking Vit. A, D, and E, plus magnesium as you suggest, forgot

to add it to the list.

It helps to take iron with Vit C. C helps to absorb it. I have Fe

deficiency anemia as well. Anything below 37 is considered below

normal in our Lab.

Dear Bee, the only think that you reccomend that I can't do are the enemas.

Everytime I tell myself of doing the enema I put myself in a state of panic for

some reason, don't know the answer yet, maybe I'll figure it out and will be

able to do it in the near future. Talk about the power of the brain and all the

memories it stores without your remembering them.

==>Yes, my revised article recommends 4,000 mgs per day. You can take

even more but increase it gradually to avoid loose stools.
