List, first my apology for not sending a private response to rather

than to the open forum. I felt openly offended and insulted and responded

likewise.

I did indeed Google Harry Browne, which solidified my convictions. Forty

years later and now 59 years of age, I still vividly see in my mind the faces of

several of my friends who gave their all. I began this post listing their

names, but I feel that may not be appropriate not knowing how it might possibly

affect someone else on this list, possibly related to these Heros.

Harry Browne's ideaology may well address the Crusades, but I have an

entirely different concept of his ideaology in juxtaposition to Americas

honorable

mission of protection for , myself as well as my brothers and sisters at

large worldwide.

I would prefer to revert back to the purpose of this list and share health

issues. I greatly respect those who have given us the opportunity to fight

disease by fighting for our lives. If we were not free and alive, we wouldn't

have

this opportunity to seek health.

I'm having my own beef with bureaucracy (Veterans Admin.). However, many

would feel much better about themselves if they intestinally had one mere foot

of

Patton's guts. I don't need accolades and I won't take disrespect.

I wish the best to and the other responders.

Hal,

Oh boy I sense trouble. I just looked at the header of your email to

the list and it looked fine. Hmmm, so strange. I will ask the list if

anyone else sees this. If I am the only one... I wont go there. LOL

Dear Michele,

There is great mutual respect between us who have been posting regarding our

opinions lately. No mudslinging is allowed on this site. Differences of opinion

are encouraged to be posted so that we can become better educated on such

controversial topics and so that we can individually and/or in the appropriate

group make up our own minds.

However I do believe that this sort of discussion may better serve the

technician if it were where the topic does not distract from the main purpose of

study for those trying to become techs. Jule, , Jeanne, Joe and myself are

not here to discourage anyone from becoming a tech. Jule, Joe, and I, as

educators and Jeanne as an employer of techs, have dedicated our lives to the

education of techs and promotion of this career choice. I do not want to see

this site 'accidentally' cause the loss of any future technician due to the

discussion of HOT topics that may be misunderstood by the newbie.

So I suggest that this discussion be taken to some tech site that would allow

for a better full on discussion. I am suggesting Dora's site. I think the addy

is www.rxtechtalk.com and I think it is a group. I will post the site

there.

Many people quit posting on Joe's site because he is so brazen with his posts of

his opinions. Yet this site could cause the newbies to leave pharmacy before

they get in, just because they may misinterpret the 'cause' or the intent, due

to lack of experience with associations or pharmacy work itself. And I don't

think that anyone involved in this HOT topic wants that.

So I suggest that this sort of discussion while no problem as an introductory

topic be moved to another site. A neutral site. One that is not owned by an

educator. It is however a 'sister' site of Techlectures site, but what that

means I am not exactly sure. Joe had no ability to edit or censure anyone's

posts there, I can not edit or censure anyone's posts there it... would be

neutral territory for anyone to say anything without pussy foot'n around the

owner. However I caution you that Dora has strong opinions too! I just simply

think we need a different location for any topics that dominate this site to the

point that we may cause some to leave pharmacy before they get a chance to get

in it, or that takes time or attention away from the purpose of study for tech

certification exams.

I don't wish to offend anyone here, just give justice to this discussion and

consideration to those studying.

Respectfully to all,

Jeanetta Mastron CPhT BS

Founder/Owner of this site

PS I will get that site addy for you.

Michele and to all pharmacy technicians new and old;

Please believe Jeanetta when she said that there is a mutual respect

between Jeanetta, and Joe. I would even go as far as saying " i

got your back " ...I won't remind Jeanetta about the time I had hers at

Long Beach conference *~*

In any rate, I don't see this as being a discouragement for any new

technicians who are coming into the field. If any I really think it

will help them understand what is needed for the state of california

to have a technician division and that we need to support this. I

have nothing against the other technician organizations but I have to

say that CSHP we do have the highest attendance in numbers of

pharmacy technician students and pharmacy technicians who do attend

CSHP seminar. I surely don't want to loose what we have and in hopes

that it will just strenghtened. I was a newby at one time and wanted

an organization, I didn't realize california had one and I'm glad

that i found it. Yes, their needs to be new blood and new voices but

first we need the technician to volunteer.

pointed out the lack of technician tracks and do you know why?

It's really hard to plan it if you are the only one planning this

whole track by yourself so I am thinking it's because of that, it was

only one person? CSHP wants a technician to serve on the seminar

committee in the hometown to take charge because of meetings and

cost. I'm not sure how active Palm Springs is for technicians but I

believe it's the same person who did it a few years back!

I hope this discussion stays open and that we utilize this as a tool

to have technicians respond especially those here in california what

they want out of CSHP, what is lacking, what would you change? What

do you want? Once I get that information, I will be bringing this

back to CSHP as I already have my list going.

Thanks!

Jeanne

I do so agree with you Louise. It's all too easy for our lives to

become about our illnesses and it's lovely to be able to chat about

the uplifting things in our lives.

Here's some useless chit-chat:

Today I've been baking for a cancer fundraising morning tea at my

partner's workplace. I can't eat any of it myself, but it's nice to

be appreciated by the people who do eat it.

Tomorrow I'm going to be fibreglassing a papier mache Easter Island

statue that I've made. Eventually he'll be painted to look like stone

and will be our new letterbox.

Cheers

You have two choices sir....pay the $170 and be done with it and let it

go. The second choice would be to settle this in small claims court. I

live in California and in small claims court you do not need a lawyer

I believe this is what you are refering to.  One of the books mentioned was

written in 1905.  I don't think you will find anything else on this although we

shold never quit looking.

I

ELECTRIC

SLEEP

Similar

subjects include (but aren't limited to):  Alpha sleep,

electroanalgesia, and electronarcosis.  Electric sleep would allow

people to get 8 hours of sleep in about 1 hour.  Maybe the sleeping

pill companies and/or the mattress manufacturers don't like it because

then you wouldn't need a mattress (at least for sleep).  Or maybe those

in control want to repress anything that might give people more free

time to enjoy life (such as it is).  This technology has been around

since at least 1905 (I found a book written on it from back then.  See below)!

Why isn't it being used?  I

saw a doctor on 'The Web' show's August 3rd 1997 episode that actually

said that those in the medical profession don't have any secrets or

hide things from the public.  Puh-leaze!

  Is this

the technology that was hinted at in the Bond movie 'Die Another

Day'?  I suspect it is.  Although they called it a 'dream machine' in

the movie.  One of the characters supposedly never slept, yet later on

in the movie, he stated that one hour in that dream machine helped him

to keep his sanity.  Which, if it was an electronarcosis device /

electric sleep set, would've given him the equivalent of eight hours of

normal sleep.  Odd, that they made no reference that I was able to see

on the DVD disc which contained the movie.  Naturally, they had to make

it look pretty to ooooh and aaaah the viewers.  LOL

For

books on this subject (sorry, I couldn't find much information on the

Internet that didn't require a password to access it and in those

places, my wanderings would've been noticed, I'm sure.  What a

surprise, huh?  But, I was able to do some digging around in other places that

weren't

protected by passwords) try reading these (if your local library

doesn't have copies, ask to get them through an 'Inter-Library Loan',

or whatever your local library calls it when they get books from other

libraries.  I even put down where you can find copies, though there are

Many, many years ago we had a very good animal doctor, one who

pioneered operations without drugs. He called it electro narcosis, or

something like that. He was paid by the countries of, I believe, India

and Africa to go there and teach this to doctors for humans.

He retired and I don't know where he is, but just wondering if this was

continued, or allowed to die out because it would cut the profits of the

pharmaceutical companies.

Anyone ever heard of this?

Thanks. Then he didn't pioneer this, I never heard him say that,

just that it was a very good way to avoid the hazards of being

infused with a lot of dangerous drugs. (Though when I broke

my ankle, I didn't hesitate a moment in agreeing to an operation.)

Electricity has many, many uses, and some are being found each

month or even days. It's just that we don't hear of them.

Many years ago an old, very brilliant  (to the point of madness) old lady

told me that the human race was programmed to invent certain things

at certain times in history. To prevent it being lost, several people in

far distant lands would invent it at the same time. Sounds weird, doesn't

it?

I believe that old Leonardo de Vini drew some neat air flight pictures,

and in Aztec ruins were found gold thingeys that " experts " declared

to be butterflies, but present day Air Force pilots declared Swept wing

jet airplanes.

Well, think of the air plane..first I think was a French man, but he did

not have a good publicist, so the brothers got the fame. And

the far from America doctor in, I think, the 1980s, who invented a

cure for ulcers, while other doctors were highly amused in wide public

scorn. But guess what, shortly after that 2 American doctors " invented)

that 2 week series of antibiotics that " cured " ulcers.

I " m sure that goes on all the time, but with absolutely no publicity

allowed for " crackpots " and " nuts " who might

want to deviate from

the " accepted " norm.

BSPMerced,

If you are still looking for an answer to your question, just Google " electro

narcosis " .  I did and found lots of listings.  I went to only one,

www.kasturbin.ru/indes1.php?id=66 & [od=60.  It did not answer your specific

question but did talk extensively about electro narcosis.  Good luck in finding

your answer(s).

One of the most informative links I've seen from this group. Thank you.

Not sure why it's " off topic, " when such subjects as sunbathing, vitamin C,

vitamin D, whey and Somalife are not.

If someone can clue us in on what exactly is " off-topic? " I thought other

health topics were allowed.

Something really odd happened when I clicked on

www.fluscam.com. I use a plug-in in Firefox called WOT (Web of

Trust)

http://www.mywot.com/

which supposedly identifies unsafe websites. Fluscam.com had all

sorts of warnings. Not child safe, vendor unreliable, unsafe privacy,

etc. I had never seen a website which got warning red warnings for

ALL categories.

So I clicked on the site. None of my protection programs

warned me of viral invasions. No porn or other reasons it would be

unsafe for children. So I decided to read the ratings and make my own

ratings. I wrote the following:

" There is NOTHING on the site which is not child safe.

Information on dangers of flu vaccine are found on many other sites.

Seems to me the negative reviews stem from people who do not like what

he has to say. I have never bought from the site so I cannot speak to

vendor reliability. I have no idea why privacy is questioned. Seems to

me that some people made bad comments in all areas just because they

do not like what he had to say, and not for any valid reason. "

So it looks to me like the pro-vaccination people are being dishonest

and attempting to discredit sites which they disagree with.
