I don't know if you got it or not, but last week some time Diane got on and told us she's been down on her back for quite a while, so we won't be hearing too much from her until she improves a bit. I hope she is better soon. -dz-

I tried to give up caffeine too. I did for a while, then settled on one cup a day. The problem with caffeine is it dehydrates you, then you have to drink that much more water. -dz-

Hi Jan

I have never heard of having to go without food for that long before surgery. I thought the standard was nothing after midnight. Heck I even cheated and had coffee the morning of my last surgery with no problems.

Good luck, I'll be praying that everything turns out OK.

I know at night only I feel like my back is burning up..Only my back..If I could put an air conditioner just in that spot I'd be cool..It is so aggrevating but last night was horrible..I never sweat so much in my life ..Thanks for all the support and info..You aren't on hormones??

You won't grow a mustache... the whale thing though.... it tends to go one way or the other. Are you planning to take HRT. If so .... that could be risky for weight gain. Jan, Susy would not give up her hair dye, chocolate & nail polish. When my hair goes gray I will be be gray. Susy is already counting the gray hairs on my head.

I couldnt take them due to precancer cells found in my breast. I did not grow a moustache. I certainly would for the benefits to the heart and your bones and lets face it hot flashes are not a thrill. But I went through it so very long ago. I am fine though.. Jan, I had a Uncle that didn't thank so. He dyed his hair up till his mid-late 70's. He looked funny with his brown hair at that point.
